Going back home

She had no choice but to pick the phone up again wanting to dial her mum's number.she did not know what was going on with her but she wanted it to stop. If it was a dream she wanted it to end. Her hands shakily dialed her mum's number on the phone, she had met in the room.

She turned relieved immediately her mother picked up as she happily called out into the phone, "mum! Where are you? Something very strange is happening...….." Adriana couldn't complete her words as the lady had hung up. She didn't know why her heart started beating really fast but she guessed maybe it was due to an adrenaline rush. She dialed the number again but her mother didn't pick up this time. She went ahead to dial it again in the hopes that she would pick up but it went straight to voicemail.

Already getting pissed off, Adriana threw the phone at the wall to have it shatter as it fell on the floor. She looked around her for the second time and felt like throwing up at the sight she was looking at right now. The room looked very stuffy and old. The paintings on the wall were beginning to peel off as one could now see the cement they used in building the house.

The floor looked dirty and irritating and to her very dislike. She wanted to quickly get away from this place but where was she to go? The worst part of it all was that she seemed to be in another girl's body. How did that even happen? Adriana's lack of answer to her questions frustrated her and she just wanted to get out of the mess she was in. A mess she didn't even know how she got into.

Adriana wanted to go back outside when she felt a sharp pain in her stomach making her fall to the ground. She cried out holding her stomach as the pain seemed to be getting worse by the second and soon she heard the door to the room open as a group of kids now surrounded her.

"Vanessa, are you okay? It has started again hasn't it?" She heard one of the boys ask her while she could not even answer back because of the severe pain she was in right now. She saw one of the boys try to touch her but that was when she found her voice, "don't touch me" Adriana said amidst the pain but he mistook her words as her trying not to get his little self involved in her mess as he went ahead to touch her even patting her back.

Adriana felt the pain subside little by little as she finally found her breath to have her panting like someone that had run a meters race. Not minding that she had just finished fighting for her life, Adriana stood up on her feet glaring at the children that were now surrounding her. "What do you guys think you are doing here? Leave now!!" Adriana yelled at them, her voice cold as ice ignoring the fact that these same kids had come rushing to her when they heard her scream. It seemed like they had warmed up towards the so-called Vanessa they were all calling.

"Did you not hear me well? I said leave" she yelled at them to have the children quickly scurry away from her leaving her alone again. As soon as the kids were gone, Adriana slumped on the floor holding her head that was now aching her. She felt so weak and limp. Like she would actually pass out at any second if not careful. What was happening to her?Was God punishing her for something she did? If so, she was extremely sorry. She just wanted to get back to her normal life.

She was starting to feel demotivated until the thought actually struck her. Why had she not thought about it before? She could go back home! Back to her mum and away from this eyesore of a place.

She noticed the ragged dress she was wearing had pockets and hand searched it but she didn't find what she was looking for to have her get up on her feet.

She made sure to search the entire house until she saw a dollar in a handbag that was hanging over the wall as she took it and not waiting for another second, Adriana dashed out of the room not bothering to lock it up or whatever since she was sure she wouldn't come back here.

She noticed the kids staring at her but she only ignored them as she walked along into the streets. she noticed a cab coming towards her direction making her wave at it and it stopped for her.

"Louis Morgan"Adriana directed the driver to where she was going and she didn't miss the mockery that followed the man's expression after. He looked as though he was wondering why a girl like her would be going to such a high standard place but her head was too messed up right now to care about him and what he thought.

"Get in" she heard the cab driver tell her to have her hop in the car at once. As soon as she entered, her body relaxed on the comfortable seat, her body welcoming the neat and nice scent of the car. She wasn't surprised she was feeling this way considering the fact that she was coming out from a poor looking space that made her body ache.

The drive to where she was going was a bit far as they got to the estate of Louis Morgan at about an hour and half later. She allowed the driver to drop her at the front gate of her house and as soon as Adriana spotted her house, Her pupils danced around impatiently waiting for the car to stop so she would run inside.

"That would be a dollar" The cab driver said as soon as he had dropped off the girl who handed him the dollar in her hand without even hesitating not minding the fact that it was the last money she had brought with her as all she could think about was going to meet her mum.

Adriana rushed to the gate of the majestic house standing tall amongst all other houses as she placed a knock on the house gate to have the security guard at the post open it to meet a tattered looking girl outside the house of the Hawkins. He glared at her, irritated at the sight before him as he raised his brows at her wondering what a girl like her was doing here.

"What do you want to miss?" the security man asked with a raised voice as if wanting to garner attention. Truly, it was a sight to behold. Stuffs like this weren't new in the neighborhood as people like her would often come here to either beg for food or create a scene here.

Adriana glared back at the security man who now dared to look her in the eye. This was the man that trembled whenever she had called for him. "I want to go in" Adriana curtly said to have the man's lips slightly pulled up. Just when he thought these lowly beings couldn't be any more brave. How daunting of her though.

"We don't have bread to give you here, go away!" Adriana heard the security man send her away as he wanted to close the door of the gate he had opened for this lowly thing when he heard his madame's voice from behind him.

Adriana who heard her mothers voice couldn't be any happier as she didn't mind the guard standing at the gate while she gently pushed him away entering inside to have her finally see her mother.
