He stroked a thumb over my lips as he spoke, his voice so deep it makes my entire core tremble. “When a Fae decides to claim a woman, he will have her at all costs. I want to claim you as mine. Do you know what that means?” My heart pounded at his words and I licked my lips nervously, noticing the predatory glint in his eyes when I did that. I asked “w-what does it mean?” He lowered his head to my ears knowing how sensitive they are and spoke with a seductive voice that made me melt. “It means I will marry you and mark both your body and soul as mine. I will make you scream my name in pleasure and I will show you just how much I yearn for a taste of you.” She let out a small gasp at his words and he growled low in his throat satisfied at her body's response to him. "You know one kiss is not enough. Now that I've had a taste I'm addicted..." He held my face and came closer, my heart pounded excitedly as I felt his breath close to mine once again. "C-Cillian..." I moaned his name and he growled like a beast. Chapter 14 - Your true family.

Chapter 14 - Your true family.

I looked at this woman, surprised at her words. I immediately put my guard up hearing the Wayward name but I was so confused as I noticed how she seemed so gentle and kind in comparison to Erida Wayward, maybe she's different I thought. I wasn't sure how to react to all this and just stood frozen. "Hey! Move out of my way! Who do you think you people are?!" I turned back to see Miss Kore arguing with the man in front of her, trying to push him to the side. "Shut your mouth. How dare a mere servant speak like that to a member of the Wayward family." The man before her then pushed her back and Miss Kore fell backwards onto the ground. "M-miss Kore?!" I felt panic strike me and tried to run over but the woman was still holding me tight.

I felt at a loss, not being able to do anything then all of a sudden that same man went flying across the street. "Aaargh?!" I looked up to see my brother standing there with a bright smile across his face. "Looks like someone had to be taught a lesson on how to treat people with respect." Brother walked over and helped Miss Kore stand up, he then turned to look at the woman who was still holding me in her arms.

The woman named Cera just started back at him, smiling without a care in the world. "Forgive my lousy servant. He clearly doesn't know when to stay put. However you can't blame him, after all she should know her place." Brother Tybalt looked at Cera with a cold and Icy glare. "The one who needs to know their place are the trash from the Wayward family, now let go of my sister." He warned her with a low whisper. She looked at him with a glare and let me go. "I'll let her go this one time but know this, she will soon be where she rightfully belongs. With the wayward family." I immediately ran over to my brother and he lifted me up. I turned to look at Cera as I hugged my brother scared to let go. She smiled at me gently. "Don't worry Iridesa. I know you're confused at the moment but trust me you'll see the truth of these monsters soon." I felt afraid of her words, what did she mean by that. "When you do, I'll be here waiting to take you home. After all, I'm your mothers sister. We're your true family, Iridesa."

Even though she spoke with a gentle angelic voice I didn't know why but I felt uneasy and goosebumps rose onto my skin. She turned around and walked away with the man earlier who was now clenching face in pain. Once out of sight I felt myself relax and I then remembered Miss Kore. "Miss K-Kore! A-are you ok?!" I felt tears well in my eyes as I Looked at her, this was all my fault. She almost got hurt because of me. Miss Kore however smiled at me brightly. "I'm completely fine. That overgrown ape couldn't do anything to me if he tried. I would have used my healer's magic to immobilize his pen-mph?!" Before she could finish the sentence, brother clasped his hand over her mouth. "Hey, children are present!" He said, smiling nervously as his face went pale. Miss Kore also reacted the same way at his words and I was completely lost. "I-immobilize what?" As I asked this question they both laughed nervously. "n-nothing! Hahahahaha!" They both replied simultaneously. I looked at them suspiciously as they both laughed.

We finally got home and as we approached the main gates, brother suddenly went pale as he saw uncle and Father both standing there looking very Grimm. Father noticed and spoke with an evil glint in his eyes. "Did the three of you enjoy your little outing…?"

The both of them laughed nervously at his words. I bit my lip afraid I may have made Father more upset than before. He reached out to hold me but then stopped as though he changed his mind, I felt a small sting of loneliness in my heart. "I heard you ran into some trouble. This is why you must have told me before you left what if you were in danger and no one knew of it." Uncle spoke sternly lecturing Miss Kore and Brother both. He slowly reached out and took me from my brother's arms. Even though uncle had a much smaller body frame he was just as strong as brother as he held me with ease. "I could've handheld it uncle. There's no need to worry." Brother said confidently and brother squinted his eyes at him. I felt bad that they were both in trouble on my behalf. They only wanted to take me out so I could have some fun so I tried my best to defend them both. "I'm o-okay, uncle…" uncle and father both looked over at me as I spoke. "B-brother is very s-strong and Miss K-Kore took care o-of me too…" Brother and Miss Kore both looked at me with adoration in their eyes as I tried my best to defend them but what I said next had them both looking frightened as though they saw a great beast the size of the castle. "T-they also said they c-could I-Immobilise t-that mean guys P-Pen!" I exclaimed happily and Uncle and Fathers faces went dark as they looked over at both of them. Father spoke in a low voice. "Is that so…? What wonderful things you have been teaching your little sister…" I didn't understand what was happening but for some reason Brother was hiding behind Miss Kore trembling. Uncle also spoke with a smile as a dark aura surrounded him. "I just remembered about a new magical device I wanted to test out, now is the perfect time. I believe I will be seeing you at the training grounds, dear nephew." Brother gulped at his words. Uncle then turned his attention towards Miss Kore and she flinched. "You should join us too, Miss Kore. Something tells me we may need you. I hope you have enough magical stamina to keep up." They both laughed nervously but I had the feeling they actually wanted to cry. I wonder if I shouldn't have said anything at all.

I was sitting on my bed that night, not being able to fall asleep. I couldn't stop thinking about father and I kept having all these horrible thoughts of him giving me away to the Wayward. I also remembered that women named Cera and I wasn't sure how to feel about her as she seemed much kinder than Erida Wayward and I felt myself considering if it would be better for me to go with them after all but when such a thought came to mind I felt a pang of guilt in my chest. After all the care and love I was given here, how could I think such a thing? "T-there must be s-something wrong with m-me…?" I place my head on my knees as I said this, hugging my knees tight.

I wasn't able to sleep so I picked up one of the many books Master Octavius had provided me with to look at in my spare time. I wasn't still able to read as well yet but I could make out a few words. I mostly enjoyed looking at the illustrations. The various books were about all the different creatures in our world, such as elves, trolls, brownies, wolves and many more. My favorite one to read however was the book on Faes. Even though most humans would envy such powerful and beautiful creatures I found myself drawn to them. I looked at the images of the Faes. I had memorized most of this book by heart as I always had Miss Delphine read it to me from time to time. The Fae's were just like humans except for their size differences and their unique symbols that are tattooed somewhere on their bodies. They are born with these symbols as their identity and when a Fae claims their lover they mark them as their own with these symbols. When a Fae claims someone they will only love that person all their lives and if their love is not reciprocated they will live their life alone and die alone. This fact made my heart race. I always thought about the ideas of love and I found it romantic how they would devote their entire love to one person but also a bit sad at the part where they are unable to ever love another. The most saddest part of all this however is that if they mark their partner and at some point their partner consciously chooses to leave them the abandoned Fae will die of heartbreak as that is the power of the symbol that connects the both of them. This is why very few Faes practice this ritual in this day and age. I had also come across the section of Fae and human relationship which was one of the rarest types to come across, even the relationships between humans and elves were very common but the idea of a human and Fae was very rare and sometimes frowned upon. As I looked through the book I eventually fell asleep.

Erida Wayward sat inside her room sipping her tea as she tuned out the moaning and panting coming through the walls as her husband spent time with one of his whores. Unlike a lot of wifes she couldn't care less who her husband laid with as long as he gave her control of the entire estate and their affairs. They are one of the strongest empires to exist today thanks to her and once she lands her hands on that child she will make sure they become the most formidable empire among all living creatures. Soon after her useless husband's sexual appetite was satisfied he came into their room and laid on their bed. "So how's it going at the court sessions? Will we obtain custody?" He asked as he took a drag of his usual cigar. "Those relentless Orion bastards won't give her up to us. Her father won't even allow her in court to testify." she said, feeling my head throb with irritation. Erida hated Paris Orion to begin with; he was such an insufferable tick she couldn't get rid of. He was much too powerful for us even though his estate was barely as rich as ours. "If only that stupid bitch hadn't escaped, we wouldn't be in this predicament. I fucking hate dealing with the court." She looked over at her whining husband. His graying auburn hair was greased back and his blue eyes became wrinkled as he aged. He may have been very handsome in his youth but after that brat Opal had run away he began aging fast and deteriorating from stress and fear of our diabolical plans being discovered from many years ago. Erida walked over to him and laid in bed. "She's your illegitimate child. You should have kept a better restraint on her." He gulped at my words. It was his mistake she had gotten away after all. If he wasn't so busy playing with his whores and getting drunk when he was supposed to be keeping a strict eye on her she wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to escape. Erida heard a knock on her door and the voice of her daughter followed. "Mother, father. May I come in?" Erida gave permission and she entered. "I thought I should report back to you about my little meeting with my dear niece today." Erida looked at her daughter. She was so beautiful even more compared to that illegitimate brat. Her beauty was able to seduce any man and she could have anyone wrapped around her little finger with her innocent and alluring appearance but her heart was just as vile and dark. Erida smiled knowing her daughter had a wicked idea in mind. Erida will use her daughter as her favorite secret weapon and that child will soon be in her grasp.
