On the eighteenth day of the winter month, early in the morning, the villagers headed to Yueliangpao with their fishing gear in tow. Jinghan and the others also rose early, had some breakfast, and then donned their thick clothes to join the group. Jinghan wore a fur coat and a leather skirt, wrapped a fox fur scarf around her neck, and had on a leather hat gifted by a fellow villager, along with boots made of deer skin. Fully equipped, she resembled a round, fluffy ball. As she was there to watch rather than work like the villagers, she had to make sure to stay warm.
