40 years earlier, on the freight vessel somewhere in the South Caribbean ocean, a heavy storm was throwing the mighty and seemingly indestructible freighter Marilone around like a toy-boat in a toddlers bathtub. The tropical storm that was going on that weekend was at the moment they where out to ship freight across the Caribbean islands was more intens that they initially had anticipated for. Before they had set sail on the Friday before the weekend the Captain checked all meteorological information available at the time for the weather forecast for that weekend. During that age the use of satellites, radar and other measuring equipment was just in it infantcy, but with equipment from now "nothing could had saved them from imminent disaster" for now the where already on a full on collision course with what they thought at the moment to be just a tropical minor storm.
Because an unusual hot and dry summer and a built up of massive high pressure fronts over the Caribbean ocean became a breeding ground for one of the most destructive events of the last decades. something Captain Morgana had not been anticipating..
