Eve smells the sweet scent of herbs, her eyes move behind her eyelids and with a touch of fear she jerks up from the grass mat…groaning in pain as her sudden movement tears open the wound to her neck. She sees the albino woman called The Ghost and relaxes as her benefactor shuffles over to her side…signing as she approaches.
/"Ah my child, I see you have come back to join us…that is good. Do not struggle; no harm will come to you here./"
Eve looks up into the kind face above her…gratitude filling her heart and with difficulty moves her hands so she can converse with the woman.
/"Where am I…how did I get here…I remember the baboon, you, but nothing more./"
The Ghost laughs out loud…her shrill cackle making the humanzee smile at the sound of the joy as it fills the small hut, something that is foreign to Eve yet something that makes her feel safe and secure.
