Chapter One

My name is Roxanne Deceit. I'm Janus Deceit's sister and I'm twenty-three years old. I actually have wolf ears and a tail. I know my brother is half-snake but my father was like Janus and my mother was like me. My father abused my mom and I and then my brother joined with him, but that was years ago so I kind of forgive my brother for that. Right now I'm living by myself but Janus invited me to live with him and his friends. I guess it won't be so bad. Will it?

AT JANUS'S HOUSE

I arrived to the house with my suitcase, backpack and my Black Lab Summers. I let out a breath to ease my nervousness and knocked. A man who looked about 25 answered the door. He was wearing a prince-like outfit and had purple hair like my brother. Actually his face even looked like my brother's face. I stammered "I'm R-Roxy. Janus's s-sister. He said I could m-move in." His eyes lit up. "Oh! I'm Prince Roman Creativity!" He said with a flourish. "But you may call me Princey or Roman!" I smiled nervously "Okay, may I come in?" He nodded and led me inside. Janus was sitting next to his friend Remus. Janus looked up to see who came in and gave me a genuine smile. "Roxanne!" He said. I replied with a small smile "Hey Jan, uh, just call me Roxy."

He nodded and asked "You brought Summers?" I stammered "W-Well, yeah. Is that okay?" Janus got up and started petting Summers. "Of course, Roxy." Suddenly a man wearing a blue shirt with a cardigan wrapped around his shoulders teleported in the room. He squealed "IS THAT A PUPPY?!" I stifled a laugh while smiling "Um, yeah. Her name is Summers. I'm Roxy." He replied "Hey kiddo! I'm Patton! There's also Logan and Remus and Virgil!" I heard running coming from downstairs. "LOGAN GIVE BACK MY FRICKING HOODIE!" Someone was screaming. I heard a monotone-like voice say "No way, Virgil. We need to wash it!" A man in a shirt and tie came running down and said to me "Salutations, I am Logan and the person behind me is Virgil." Remus got up from the couch and gave me smirk "Hey, I'm Remus." I nodded towards him. I sent

Janus a telepath message "Hey, by the way, where's Kat?" He replied telepathacally "She's in her room." Suddenly Kat appeared. She ran to me with a huge smile on her face "ROXY!" I laughed and hugged her back. Roman looked at us with a smile. Patton looked happy just with the puppy and Logan looked as happy as them. I whispered "You know, you and Virgil would look cute together." She blushed slightly and muttered back "Shut up, Rox!" I gave a small chuckle.

As I looked around, I noticed that the other darkside wasn't here. "Hey, Jan? Where's No-" He suddenly did a motion with his hand and a piece of metal went over my mouth. I tried yelling through it "DUDE! WHAT THE HELL?!" I gave a long muffled groan. Patton looked up, alarmed. "Roxy...??" Then he noticed the piece of metal. "OH MY GOSH! ROXY HOW DID THAT GET ON YOU?!" He screamed. "Oh my Lord, calm down Patton." I said trying to get it off. Roman asked "Can I help?" I shook my head but said telepathically "No, but thanks." He looked around trying to find the source of the sound. "I said it *struggles* tele-*struggles* -pathically!" Suddenly, the metal flung off onto the floor. I coughed "Uh, as I was saying, where is-" Janus cut me off "Not now." He hissed at me.

I rolled my eyes and growled under my breath "You sound like Father." Janus replied with a snarl "I am not like that bastard." I spun around and glared at him "Are you lying? Or are you being honest, SnakeBoy?" I crossed my arms. He scoffed and looked down for a second "So, Roxy." I nodded "What?" He asked, clearly mad "How's Caelum?" A tear fell down on my cheek. Patton noticed "Kiddo! Are yo-" I put my hand up to stop him. "He's dead. So is everyone else." I heard Roman gasp softly. Logan's face contorted into shock. Patton put his hand over his mouth, Virgil muttered "Oh jeez..." Kat asked "Even-" I nodded "Yeah."

Kat started crying. Tears streamed down my face. Janus stammered "S-Sis, I-I... I didn't k-know." I huffed a laugh "Sure. Father surely wouldn't tell his darling angel of a son? He always favored you. I guess I'm the bad child." I walked towards him and said softly "I'm glad he kicked me out." Then walked to Kat and asked with a gentle tone "Kat, let's go upstairs." She smiled and walked with me upstairs.

Kat asked "How did they die?" "He killed them." I replied, looking at the floor. "Oh no. G.A did?" She asked as we walked into my new room with Summers trailing behind us. I nodded. I slammed my suitcase on the bed and threw my backpack on the bed. Summers jumped on the bed next to my backpack, curled up and fell asleep. I heard someone walking to the room. It was Janus. "R-Rox. I wanted to say, I'm sorry. I took it to far." He said, his face filled with guilt. I just replied coldly "It's fine, Janus." He walked in with a determined look on his face. "No, it's not fine. I shouldn't have said that. Oh and dinner is ready in five." I gave a small laugh "That quick?" He nodded, smiling and walked downstairs.
