Prisoner of the past

Xasha placed his hand on one of the iron prison bars and felt his connection with the imperium both outside and inside his body cut off from him. It was such a novel sensation, Xasha hadn't felt like that since he was a child. The sensations differed from even that. There was a difference between never experiencing something and experiencing it, then having it taken away. He felt empty, like a piece of him was missing.

He quickly let go and backed up in fright. "What is this thing?" he asked in horror to no one in particular.

"That is Star Prison Iron. And so much of it," Xasha heard a weak yet astonishing voice in his head.

"You're awake," Xasha sighed in relief.

"For now. I need to rest for a few days," Kan responded weakly.

"Ok." Xasha didn't ask questions or show his concern. He did not want to be a burden to Kan. "Go and rest. I will get us out of here somehow."
