"What ?" I ask my mother because I'm not sure of what she's talking about.

Just that lately,she's been so strange.

She's been creepy.She's been fishy.

"Okay what would you say If you found out that the two of you are related." she repeats her question like I didn't hear her the first time.

"Nothing ,because that's never going to happen. Why are you so obsessed with this mum?"

Because her actions sound so ridiculous.

I could actually call them a cliche.

I don't want to disrespect her because at the end of the day ,she's still my mother and I still love her.

"Because I know my son very well and I want the best for him .You've been different lately ." She states for the umpteenth time.

"I'm not going to have this conversation with you again.Just back off."

"I take the last sip of my drink and walk away.

Once I'm in my room,I dial Maria's number to resume the conversation that my mother had interrupted.
