Sofia's POV.
The next morning I waited for my son to come home. The second the doorbell rang, I ran to get the door but instead of Elijah, Annette stood in front of me.
/"Morning, mom Sofia./" Annette gave me a hug.
/"Morning beautiful. Where is Eli, he didn't come home last night./" I said.
/"Mom, he gave me this to give it to you and Uncle Benjamin. I came home alone, last night. He left after an hour or so. I promise, he didn't tell me anything./" She explained giving me an envelope. /"I have to go now. Mommy, will be worried. Bye./" She gave me a kiss and before I could say anything, she ran away.
I locked the door and started reading the letter.
