Several days had passed since Audrey became a mother. And apart from the short moments she had with her newborn son right after the labour, she had not been able to enjoy motherhood.
During those times, Frederick spent every single minute in the room with her, talked to her and bonded with the child. Although at first, he was having a hard time accepting the child.
However, when there was no one but him and Audrey in the room, with no one tending to the child's needs, Frederick stepped up and forced himself to do it.
"Ack!" He accidentally expressed his innermost thought while making faces - his upper lip pulled up, his nose wrinkled and his eyebrows, they were pulled down. That's right! He looked at the baby with disgust!
It was the very first time he got to look at a newborn close-up. The petite little bundle was all wrinkly and his head was ovoid like a cone head! That was the most prominent feature he noticed upon laying his eyes on him.
