Madam Kim's sudden visit.

*knock knock*

"Miss Bae, I have been waiting for the copies, Why are you so slow-"

"Secretary Lee?" 

Cha Yoona raises her brow seeing Lee Hyun with a big stack of documents she handed to you.

*Thud*

Placing the documents on the table, Lee Hyun opens his mouth to say something but Cha Yoon cuts him off :

"Before you lecture me, I will be glad to remind you that Miss Bae Y/N herself agreed to assist me, I didn't compel her."

"I know. Miss Bae already explained everything. I was just going to inform you that there is a lunch meeting with Choi Enterprises today. And Boss wants you to join as well." Lee Hyun notifies.

Hearing that, she flinches in surprise " Me? With the Choi enterprises? Regarding the Mall project?"

"Yes, Vice President Cha. Now that my job is done, I will take my leave." Saying that Lee Hyun leaves her office.

After hearing the door close in, Cha Yoona gets up and..

*Slap*

"Is this for real?" Tears brim in her eyes, no clue if it was the stinging pain in her cheek or the news.

Smiling ear to ear, she murmurs " Finally, He acknowledged me and my potential."

"Assistant Bae, Didn't I tell you to stay here in the office? Was it so much for you to obey?"

"If you were that desperate to assist, why don't you go around and ask everyone if they need any assistance?"

"If you were going to disobey me, Why are you still here? I hired you so that you will help me, but you are going around obeying others while defying the CEO's order."

'You read these above remarks, That should be what he should be telling me, Yelling at me. It's not like I like to get scolded but the silent treatment is way more dreadful than any berate.'

You think as you keep standing in front of him, while he goes through the files. The stillness in the dark cool room and the sounds of turning pages were making you insane. 

Just when you were about to apologize..

*Ring Ring*

The office phone on the table rings.

"Pick it up." 

"M-Me?" Your mouth twitches, hearing his words.

He sends you a cold glare, instantly your hand reaches out and grabs the phone.

"H-Hello?"

'What am I supposed to say? Should I say this is CEO Jin's office?'

"Hello, This is the reception. The Choi Enterprises just informed us that they won't be able to have the appointed meeting today as a result of some emergency within the corporation. What would you like me to reply to them?" You hear the other party's long speech.

Covering the speaker of the phone, you look at Jin and utter " The Choi Enterprises has apprised that the appointed lunch meeting can't take place today, they seem to have encountered some emergency in the company. Would you like me to answer them to reschedule it for tomorrow?"

"Do you think I am that free tomorrow?" Jin blurry out.

You "..."

"W-What are your orders then?" 

"Tell them that if it's not today, I won't be available until next month." He spoke aloofly, still going through the files.

"Hello, the CEO wants to.."

After you hang up the phone, you peek at him ' Isn't he afraid to lose deals with other companies?'

*knock knock*

"Boss, I have informed Vice President Cha about the meeting with the Choi Enterprises." Lee Hyun enters the office.

"The meeting-" You were about to say something when the phone rang again.

This time you pick it up without even minding the CEO, Lee Hyun gets dumbfounded.

"Hello, This is Bae Y/N, the CEO's assistant speaking...Yeah..Oh..Okay. I will let him know. Thank you."

Hanging up you look at Jin, who was staring back at you, making you startled. Shaking the feeling off, your voice " The Choi Enterprises wants to proceed with today's meeting."

"What is my next schedule?" He abruptly asks you out.

" It's currently 10: 30 right now. At 10:45 you have another meeting with the shareholders about the upcoming 'G Mall' project." 

You have been memorizing the schedule all this time, so it was lenient for you to say it without batting an eye.

"Okay, Go with Secretary Lee and understand about the emails, presentation, and daily management."  

"Yes, boss." 

"Secretary Lee, I want the reports of the meeting we had within the ten minutes before we attend another." 

"Yes, boss. Let's go. Miss Bae." Lee Hyun opens the door for you.

After both of you leave, Jin throws the file away and leans on the chair, gazing at the ceiling, deep in thought.

"Miss Bae, Did you know you looked like a real assistant when you answered the call? *Gives you thumbs up* That was amazing." Lee Hyun praises you.

You can feel your ears burning up " I get nervous at first but after that suddenly confidence builds in me, and I feel like I can do anything. That time, I could feel my heart thumping but I did try my best not to show up my nervousness."

"I still have a long way to go *peering at him* Thank you in advance for your guidance."

Lee Hyun shook his head, " It's my job, It will be a pleasure to instruct you."

-Secretary Lee Hyun's Office-

"Ahh, That's how we are supposed to make reports. It seems tough but I think I can do it." You nod your head from time to time as Lee Hyun continues to teach you the basics.

*Ring Ring*

While your head was immersed in the laptop looking at the reports and documents, Lee Hyun picks up the phone.

"Secretary Lee Hyun speaking...Yeah..Right now?.. I will be there right away."

"What is it, Sir?"

"Miss Bae, Madam Kim is on the way here. I am obliged to welcome her. Will you like to come with me or stay here-"

"Aunty..I mean Madam Kim. I would love to. But wasn't she supposed to visit tomorrow?"

"I also have no idea of the reason for her sudden visit. I also need to inform the CEO. Let's head down first."

"Yes, Sir."

"Is everyone ready?" Jin inquired, moving down the escalator.

"Yes, Boss. They all have arrived," replied Lee Hyun.

'They? Who?' You ponder standing beside them.

As you were traversing down, the scene in front of you made you let out a soft gasp.

The employees present there were standing in neat two-row lines. Since the company had a lot of employees, there was no way everyone would be attending there.

Hence, You conclude that they were all the heads of each department and special workers. At the front, you notice Vice President Cha Yoona also standing by with a flower bouquet. Beside her, there was a man in his mid-thirties, whom you have never seen before.

'It feels like it is Madam Kim's birthday rather than her son's. Still, they are all diligent workers of this company, something tells me I don't belong there.'

"It's the CEO." 

Seeing Jin, Everyone's focus goes on him and they greet him. He strides towards the front entrance, Secretary Lee follows behind while you halt your footsteps.

Lee Hyun turns to look at you but you assure him that you are okay staying behind. You walk backwards and blend in with the crowd of employees staying at the back of the lobby.

*Click Clack*

"Mom," Jin calls her out, seeing Madam Kim walking towards the entrance.

Everyone bow towards her in respect. Seeing everyone was doing it, you also bow to her.

"Oh my, Jin-ah, You didn't have to summon everyone like this just to greet me. I know how everyone is busy." Madam Kim exclaims looking at the employees welcoming her.

"Ma'am, here." Cha Yoona passes the flower bouquet to her.

"You didn't have to prepare this. Yoona, You are still as lovely as ever." Madam Kim was acclaimed as she took the flowers. Yoona bowed and thanked her.

"Let's head to my office, Mom," Jin suggested.

"Yeah, but first I need to see someone." She spoke while looking around.

Everyone present glanced at each other in confusion. 

"Where is Bae Y/N?"

*Thump*
