Prologue

1,000 YEARS AGO.

THE UNDERWORLD

On a walk way forged of skulls I find myself trudging to my own demise.

I've been judged by the light for my betrayal, now, I'll be judged by the darkness where my soul will be weighed of it's worth.

My intention wasn't for either side. It was for my own accord, and for that I'll be punished for the rest of my days.

"What was your crime?" A dark burling soul that gaurded the gates of hell uttered.

"I chose emotion instead of conforming."

I sliced my eyes into the black holes that formed inside of his eye sockets. I had never seen a darker shade of emptiness, not until this moment.

He grabbed the chain of my shackles and led me through the inferno. The flames nipped at my skin, I felt the searing pain but because of what I am I recieved no inflictions.

"What is this abomination you bring to my doorstep, Aukra."

"He is here for judgement. Heaven itself ignored his pleas."

"Very well." The demon that gaurded the throne room of the Prince of the lost souls, spat.

"Leave!" He glared at the soul as if his very presence left a foul taste in his mouth.

"You will bow your head in my presence you piece of filth." The demon puffed his chest as he growled at me.

I smirked as I obeyed his command. I've never been fearful of demons, their just ravenous dogs.

He found no humor in my countenance, he yanked me forward with such force. He dragged me through the doors of the evil one's palace.

Once inside the demented domain of the dark lord He pushed me on to my knee's forcing me to a floor decorated with skeletons.

My nose leveled with a pair of ill colored feet. I kept my head lowered and my heart brave as I waited for my sentence. I fabricated the courage, but who could withstand such evil.

"Look me in the eyes." A menacing voice slithered into my ears.

I swallowed the lump of pride that wedged into my throat, feeling it form into a knot in my gut.

My eyes slowly trailed up the black tattered robe until they settled on a pair of ghastly orbs that were the color of rotten flesh.

"Asiah, I will not execute you... If you swear your allegiance to me." A sick smile crept up the side of his cheek.

"I will not." I felt the muscle in my jaw twitch as I gritted my teeth.

His smile faded an his eyes were lit with a fire of wrath.

"Baruke!" His deadly voice made the cavern quake.

"Yes Master." A disfigured being hobbled foward. He had one eye that was too big for his head and a hunched back.

"Take him to Ezra, let him banish this traitor  to the Earth. He will live his day's tormented by the cruelty I have set in place in that world. He will be broken, I will crush his spirit." He narrowed his eyes at me as if I were nothing but a maggot in his sight.

"He will join us when he can no longer bare the screams of the innocent." He flashed a smile of pleasure, knowing his words stirred my spirit.

The disfigured being drug me by my hair to a large swirling portal, I groaned at the sensation of my skin scraping against bones.

He let a deep sinister cackle tickle my ears as he lead me through the tunnel that swirled with living colors.

In an instant we appeared before the pearly gates of heaven where the gate keeper, Ezra, awaited me.

With brute force he tore my wings from my flesh. The sound of my wings tearing away from my skin turned my stomach, and the pain forced me to my knee's.

Ezra clasped his large hand around my throat, he stared me straight in to my eyes with no mercy.

Without hesitation he tossed me through a portal with the earth in view.

My anatomy felt as if it were being pulled apart as it configured in to the correct frequency to match the earth.

Soon, I was set a blaze as I plumeted through the cosmos.

I screamed in anguish as the heat slowly devoured my flesh, melting it off of my bones.

the substantial amount of torment forced me in to unconsciousness, my vision slowly blackened until there was nothing.
