CHAPTER 53: Attacked

Zero's Point Of View

Upon seeing Angel being in that state is a very surprising encounter. So I rushed in their direction to assist her. As she look at me with her eyes turned normal. I lay the Old man in the ground and heal him immediately to ensure his safety. After that I felt Angel holding my clothes. I look at her with her being so concerned I realized something so I took off my shirt and covered it to the Dwarf's body. As I look at the others approaching us. And then they carry the old man as well as I also carried Angel in my arms because of her suddenly being so hot.

Then I looked at the perpetrator's corpse. And then taking it in my item box to present it as a proof for the future. Are you alright?". I asked in a calm but also concerned tone to her. "Yes! I'm just too sleepy". She replied as she close her eyesto sleep. "Where did the corpses and those bandits?". I thought upon descending below seeing that they weren't there. That question was answered upon leaving the house. Seeing that they gathered them in the open space. As the rain calmed down a bit. There were several people gathered in there that witnesses those bandits being in there.

Then that moment gave me an impression to leave. But before that Eugene approach me. "Let me carry her". She said as she extend her arms into taking Angel. So without any hesitation I let her carry Angel. "What's the decision for these people?". Kitsune asked me regarding those bandits. "Let the villagers decide". I just casually said to her so she then turned her focus to the Village folks. "You heard him right, you what will you do?". She then asked them with authority in her tone.

"These bastards, took our properties in the middle of the night". One of the villagers said. "Yes, so this is the reason they can intrude without any difficulties". An old woman said. "So where is that bastard?". The Old Woman then asked pertaining to the Viscount so I took out his corpse and let them see. "He's dead, who did-". Someone was interrupted by Merleona. "This kid did it". She casually said to them making them shocked. "She did but how-". A man stopped to talk because of realization. "Did she awaken?". He then said that made them surprised.

After awhile we were ready to leave the place. As they gave some carriage to us for the Elder Dwarf to be lay down. Thus instead of flying Aethea pulled the carriage. Making me stay outside as the one driving it. So then letting the other people inside to take shelter. Not knowing they already slept as they rely on me for their safety. We didn't really get that far when I sensed a presence in front the road. Then a dagger came flying at me. Thanking for my reflexes I caught it's handle and threw it back. As a figure of a person soaked in the rain standing in front us was revealed holding a weapon.

Someone's Point Of View

I was so surprised because my dagger came flying back at me. So I start to alert myself for a countermeasure for it. Then a moment later a carriage was approaching so I ready my weapons to guard myself but then the carriage stopped a few distance from me. After that someone walked towards me. "So it's you". He muttered that made me be alerted. "Throwing so dangerous object can kill someone". He said that I ignored then attack him. As I run straight at him he moved to the side evading my attack.

As I then swing my dagger at him. He slide making his body bend evading me again. Being irritated I rushed stepping only to slip thus I slammed my face to the ground. "Hey are you okay?". He asked me. "You're good". I said as I stood up. "Then let me be serious". I said as I take out my sword. "Dark Flash". I said as I attacked him with it. As it released a dark slash that sliced with power.

I smiled as I was sure he's cut off in to two but it didn't last long. "Oi, Oi what do you think you're doing". He said with cold voice as he look at his back and sigh holding my blade. "Thank goodness, it didn't cut them". He said and look at me. "Ho-How? this is a heavy sword?". I muttered because this sword can only be lifted by a person with a great physical strength. "Didn't you know that there is a Kid and injured person over there". He said with cold tone that gave me chills.

As he shatters my sword by gripping that made me so shocked. But I immediately aimed to punch him but I was caught before I can even land a hit. I was so proud of my strength so how. I was so surprised that a human can even do this. I tried to get away from him but I can't even do it. As he sure make it look like a simple thing for him to do. I tried to resist him using my other hand but he already secured it to not be able to move a bit.

He suddenly sighed. "I can't even think of hitting a girl so stop". He said as he let go of my hands. So I tried to attack him but he look at me. "Don't even think of doing that". He said and then look at me with his eyes suddenly gazed away. Taking off his Cloak and give it to me. "Take this, and go inside". He said that made me hesitant but then. I felt so cold and take it. As I wear it to myself. He turned his back as soon as a flash of lightning drew upon the rainy night sky.

There I became so stiffed seeing the scar on his back. It was like a unnaturally made like a stem of intertwining lightning strike. As it is unnaturally looked like a Dragon was looking at you. Then a flash of voice reminded me. "He who was touched by lightning". I accidentally said.
