"Two hundred years might not be that long of a time for us elves, but for humans, that's enough time for eight generations to go by..."

Ordinary elves have a life span of a thousand years, and royal elves like Ava can live for two millennia.

And if they learn to harness the power of mana, then their lifespan can increase even further.

But most elves don't bother training, as their long lifespan makes them lose interest in most things over time.

Like how humans become adults around 18 years of age, elves become adults around 200 years of age.

Which means Sylvie, who is 230 years old, has barely just entered her twenties when compared to the human lifespan.

And Ava, who's only a hundred years old, is still just a minor. (Imagine being a hundred years old and still being forced to go to school… That's hell…)
