(Third Person POV)
Magnolia, Fiore
Inside the Fairy Tail Guild Hall, several members were scurrying around the main room in a frantic manner.
Mirajane and Laxus were in the front of the room going through some documents.
"This is stupid, why the hell is the council sending this many letters and instructions?" Laxus asked
His body was seemingly fully healed from his fight with Jason as there were not many bandages on him.
Mirajane looked at him, "I don't know, Laxus, but Master told us to deal with them." She said, "As the only S-Class mages present, we must show a bit of responsibility."
Laxus frowned, "Yea..." He said
As they continued reading the documents, Levy walked up to them carrying more documents on her hands.
"You guys, what's with this sudden surge of paperwork???" She asked them, "Is the Magic Council freaking out or something??"
Laxus looked at her, "They're taking extreme measures." He said seriously, "The Ten Wizards Saints were also contacted. This is a serious crisis we're about to face, Levy."
"How so?" Levy asked
"There's rumors of a war." Mirajane said, "Not a guild war or anything like that, but a true full-on war. Fiore hasn't seen a full-scale war in years so the Council is taking these measures. We're not the only ones that are receiving this paperwork."
Laxus nodded, "Yea, we got to take inventory or all quests we do in the next coming months and give them the number of quests we took in the past three months too." He said, "Also the attendance of all guild members we've had in the past year. And any free-lance or other guild mages we've encountered."
Levy frowned, "Oh is that so? That's a lot." She said, "That said, I never took you for a paper work guy, Laxus."
Laxus sighed, "I'm not." He said, "But the old man ain't here so I have to pick up his slack."
Mirajane looked at Levy, "We need you to call Gajeel over to the guild." She said, "The Council is sending a representative to give a meeting. I'll call Team Natsu as well. We need everyone here."
Laxus nodded, "I'll call the Thunder God Tribe too." He said, "They took a mission a couple days ago."
Levy sighed, "Oh man..." She said, "This is crazy."
They continued to talk about the paperwork they had and the current events that were going on.
Below the guild hall, down in the basement, Makarov stood in front of the massive lacrima that housed Mavis's real body.
He looked at it with a grim look on his face, "Hm...." He said, "You managed to come down here unnoticed?"
He turned to see Jason standing in the shadows, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. Jason didn't look at him, only stared past him and at the lacrima.
"This is Lumen Histoire huh?" Jason said, "Or rather....Fairy Heart..."
Makarov widened his eyes in surprise, "How did-"
"Doesn't matter now, does it?" Jason said as he walked towards him, "She doesn't look too hot.."
Jason was looking at the lacrima, which had many cracks all over, leaking magic power. However, there were many runes placed around it, an attempt to contain it.
"I used rune magic to try and contain the magic power leak," Makarov said, "But It's only a matter of time."
Jason nodded, "Yea. I was able to sense it." He said, "How did this happen? I figured you guys had this really locked tight."
Makarov sweated, "Master Mavis..." He started, "She said it was because of you..."
Jason looked at him, "What?" He said, "Me?"
Makarov nodded, "I don't really get how." He said, "But she mentioned the immense amount of Eclipse Darkness you had housed and contained. She also said something about a special attribute you possessed."
Jason turned to look at him, "What are you saying?"
"I'm saying that somehow your presence affected her." He said, "I don't understand it either, Jason. But if we don't do something, we won't be able to contain Fairy Heart. And with this whole crisis with Alvarez, I don't know how we'll be able to do this unnoticed."
Jason sighed, "Man..."
Suddenly, the lacrima cracked even more.
Jason and Makarov both looked at it and watched as Mavis's body began to be engulfed in a black shadowy mist inside.
"Wh-What?" Makarov exclaimed
"Not a bright idea to have me here, is it?" Jason said as the lacrima began to crack even more, "I mean, if she's reacting to me, clearly she'll react even worse if I'm right fucking here."
"I don't know what else to do, Jason!" Makarov said, "Master Mavis herself asked for you!"
Jason scowled, "Yea well, at this rate, she'll burst open." He said, "And if Fairy Heart is unleashed, that won't be good for anyone!"
Jason then watched as Mavis was completely engulfed in the shadowy mist as chunks of the lacrima broke off, resulting in magic power leaking out.
'Is this some sort of resonating effect?' Jason thought to himself, 'I have Eclipse darkness inside me, contained. And Mavis.....she has....'
"I see." Jason said
Makarov looked at him, "What is it?"
"It's the curse." Jason stated as she unleashed an aura, "Makarov, your runes won't do shit in a bit. Luckily, I learned this cool trick just recently."
Jason's body morphed, his arms turning into mechanical ones, giving a chrome black glow. His eye began to glow red as his face had mechanical features.
Makarov looked at him in awe, "What is this form?"
Jason raised his arms outwards, in an instant, he sent massive pillars to every inch of the room. These pillars were formed out of nowhere and they lodged themselves into the wall.
"Machine God's Containment Field."
Suddenly, the pillars emitted a thick and powerful gray barrier that surrounded them. Makarov noticed that the air inside the containment field seemed a bit distorted.
"This will help stabilize the magic power leak and prevent anyone from detecting it." Jason said, "As for this little dilemma we have with her...."
The lacrima then fully shattered, the entire thing collapsing to the ground as Mavis's body, engulfed in the shadowy mist, flopped to the ground.
"Master!" Makarov said as he reached for her
"No." Jason said as he pulled him back
They watched as the First Master's unconscious body, engulfed in the mist, fell in front of them. They noticed the mist spread all over the room, seemingly corrupting the floor.
"Relax." Jason said, "As long as you don't touch her body, I doubt the mist will affect you."
'I really don't know what the hell's going on, but my Machine God's sight is telling me that....' Jason thought to himself, 'It's telling me not to touch her body at any cost.'
Jason looked at Makarov, "I have a theory." He said, "I believe the Eclipse darkness from Endless and the one inside of me, they must've resonated with her, her curse. And then, it somehow reached her and corrupted her. They must've mixed and are causing this."
"Curse? Corrupted?" Makarov said, "What're you saying?"
Jason shrugged as he clapped his hands together, "Both you and I are confused at this, Makarov." He said releasing a magic pressure, "But in order to make sure we do this safely...."
"Spatial Domain: Seaside Rocky Land-Bridge."
Suddenly, they were all transported inside Jason's domain. Normally, it would allow one person aside from Jason to be inside, however, Jason somehow upgraded this specific one. Any other domain will still eject the third person.
They stood on top of the land bridge as the waters hit the rocks. Makarov looked around, shocked at this sudden change of scenery.
"Is this....one of your spatial spells?" He said, "Magnificent, what power...."
Jason, who was still in Machine God mode, looked over at Mavis's unconscious body.
"I'll try to get that mist off of her." Jason said, "But there's no guarantee it'll work. Makarov, what I want you to do is cast runes around Mavis and I. Create a barrier. I don't want her curse or the eclipse darkness to corrupt this domain."
Makarov gulped and nodded, "Understood."
"Worry not." Jason said, "I'll have the waters hit you and grant you constant magic power. One of the perks that I upgraded it with."
Jason walked over to Mavis's body as he undid Machine God mode.
Makarov then immediately created a rune barrier around them, holding his hand in front of him.
"Be careful, Jason..." Makarov said
Jason nodded as he looked down at Mavis's body, the mist completely formed into a cocoon as it pulsated greatly.
He raised his hand and pointed it at it, "Okay." He said,
"Let's see if Irene's lessons paid off."
