"What?!"

"Isn't our mission complete?!"

Kyros smiled and replied, "Have you forgotten? What was the commission we received?"

Natsu slammed his hand down and exclaimed, "Exactly! We're supposed to obliterate the moon!!"

"Stupid! Do you even have a brain?" Kyros retorted, her voice unusually sharp.

It was only then that Lucy realized Kyros's discontent.

"We're here to break the curse afflicting the villagers!"

"But Deliora is dead, isn't he? Such a village curse..."

"Who said Deliora has anything to do with the village curse," Kyros blinked.

"..."

Natsu and the others exchanged puzzled glances, realizing that no one had explicitly stated such a connection.

"If the curse were because of Moondrop and Deliora, the nearby Lyon and his team would have long turned into monsters."

"What in the world is this curse?" Gray looked to Lyon for answers.

Lyon snapped, "How would I know? When we arrived on this island three years ago, we weren't aware of any village. We kept to ourselves, and the villagers kept their distance."

"If you hadn't barged in suddenly, I wouldn't have even spared a thought for those villagers."

It took three whole years to gather the moonlight here to unlock Deliorala. I didn't expect Deliorala to have died long ago, and all that effort was for naught. No wonder he was in a good mood.

"So, what should we do now?" Lucy voiced her concern once again.

"Seems like we're still breaking the moon after all!" Natsu declared after pondering.

Gray grumbled, "Do you have a grudge against the moon?!"

Kyros smiled and said, "Alright, let's head back. I know how to complete this mission."

As Gray followed, he paused, then turned to Lyon and advised, "Lyon, you should consider joining a guild too. There, you'll find companions and rivals, surely new goals to pursue."

Lyon turned his head away, saying, "Boring, just leave."

"Sir Kyros has returned!"

"Village Chief! Lord Kyros has returned!"...

Before Kyros reached the village, she heard such shouts.

"Kyros... Your lord..." Lucy felt a bit embarrassed using the honorific, realizing Kyros had left an impression on everyone in the village the day before.

"Lord Kyros, have you found a way to lift the curse?" The village chief and the villagers looked at Kyros expectantly.

Kyros nodded and assured them, "No problem, I already know how to lift the curse."

"Really?!"

"Fantastic!!"

"Kyros, how do we lift the curse?" Natsu asked, puzzled.

Kyros looked up at the sky with a smile and said, "It's quite simple. If there's a problem, you can address it from above. Since the moon only turns purple here, destroying the sky should suffice."

"What?!!!"

Everyone was stunned at Kyros's words.

Kyros didn't offer much explanation, but his demeanor exuded a menacing aura, causing a palpable sense of dread to spread throughout the village.

"Crack!" A black-red lightning bolt streaked across the sky.

"Boom—-!!"

The Sky split with a resounding boom.

"Sky… Sky… it's been cleaved open!!!"

"Wait… what's that?!" Lucy's keen eyes discerned the anomaly. Instead of healing, the fissures in the sky widened, resembling shattered glass cascading down.

After a moment, the sky shattered entirely, the purple moon vanished, and the ordinary moon hung in its place. Moonlight bathed the earth in a soft, gentle glow, devoid of its previous ominous hue.

"What in the world just happened!!"

Puzzled gazes turned to Kyros. With a smile, he explained, "If my deduction is correct, when Lyon and the others gathered moonlight to form the moon droplets, residual gases were produced, crystallizing in the atmosphere."

"It didn't affect daylight, but at night, moonlight filtering through these crystals resulted in the purple hue we saw on the island."

"But… they haven't reverted to normal…" Gray observed, eyeing the still demonic villagers.

"Happy" expressed frustration, "How could…"

Kyros chuckled, "No, they have reverted to their true forms, that's what they were."

"By day, they used transformation magic to appear human. At night, moonlight interacting with the residual gas crystals nullified their magic, revealing their true nature."

As Kyros spoke, realization dawned upon the trio and feline companion, horror etching their features.

"You… you… you mean…"

Kyros nodded, "Yes, they were originally demons."

"Eh—-?!!!"
