Chapter 54: Eclipse Gate (4)
~Rou POV~
You know when one takes a train ride to Crocus. I would assume it would be leisurely pleasant in all honesty.
But…
Opening one of my eyes it seems like we gathered unwanted attention seeing that Jellal and Ultear sitting in front of us as they just so happen to get a train ride to Crocus along with their Rune Knights onboard since they have their men captured Rogue Wizards into prison.
Mavis is simply still reading the RWBY novels I've been making handwritten to better pass the time than instant Alchemy for the win.
I prefer to use my time on other things but writing stories by hand just happens to be a hobby of mine and relaxation than my studies on magic equations or alchemic theories.
Rune Knights are a military subdivision within the Ishgar Council, acting as a personal constable of sorts, Rune Knights are the Council's army. Their job is to enforce the Council's ideals of justice and to investigate crimes related to the Magic world.
They are also responsible for dealing with issues such as detaining criminals and passing judgment on to them. They patrol over a large span of land all across the country.
They are known to possess several garrisons scattered throughout Fiore, with their numbers being consistent, and have battleships at their disposal for sea transportation. They are divided into squads, with some of them performing particular duties, and most of them being led by a ranked officer.
Their strength though…
Ehh…
They leave much to be desired…
Rune Knights are known to possess combat skills and are able to perform different forms of magic. However, their fighting prowess is mostly unknown…
The Rune Knights shown so far seemed to mainly employ melee combat, assaulting enemies in large groups and generating magical auras on the ending part of their staffs; something whose effect or aim is unknown.
However, even considerable amounts of them could be knocked out by much smaller groups of proficient melee fighters, implying their skills to be just average.
Leaning on the back of my seat though despite the Council Members here having been silent for the whole time looking at us I couldn't help but speak up first, "So… uh, how's the weather?"
Mavis just looks at me with a 'really' look starting the conversation with me shrugging.
First time actually talking to political people here so I'm out of my social league of how to actually respond in this situation.
At this Jellal merely be blunt and truthful about us keeping a civilized smile on his face, "Oh, the weather is quite nice out today. Although I hope you don't mind us watching you. After all, the Fairy Tail Guild is…"
He paused finding the right words before he finally responded with a coy smile on his face when answering, "Unique and danger prone. I don't know any guilds that cause a lot of property damages on a daily basis from Mayors or Elders complaining about it."
Raising an eyebrow at that I left it unsaid confirming it to be true since that's kind of been the current go-to for causing property damage that Makarov had to go through.
Poor bastard….
So glad we didn't ask to be returned to our old positions I wouldn't want to read or do the damage reports.
At least with Precht around it was manageable I wonder how much time and money have been made to clean up the damages done by them…
And I know just one person is the main cause of 30% of Fairy Tail's budget on alcoholic drinks alone per year…
Cana….
But then again, it's not without reason.
The majority if not nearly all of the many of its Council Members hold Fairy Tail in low regard for the property damage that they cause.
Which was one of the reasons we didn't anyone to know we time travel can you imagine the book falling into the wrong hands?
I do I've seen and read the show to know where that was going a long time ago…
It was best we left ourselves out on that one with the Council Members eventually figuring us out or taking the trip with the Fairy Sphere created by Mavis.
Returning to the question I shrug at the answer as Mavis continues reading Ultear was next to speak out acting concerned and making us look bad, "We do apologize if we are intruding but it's merely a safety precaution. After all the latest incident with one of the members of Fairy Tail members did destroy a train involving a fight with a Dark Guild while heading towards the Guild Master Meeting. And then a few months later an incident involving an inter Guild War. You can imagine how… concern we are for the people is all."
The people around us seem to sigh in relief at this.
Meh.
People are entitled to believe what they want and considering they are trying to paint themselves in a good light and watch over us since we release our Magic Power it wasn't going to be a pleasant train ride.
That and I don't like the jabs they are putting into their words at us. One reason why I won't save Ultear is because I for one don't know her personally.
I mean in the story she has a tragic backstory but so does EVERY other anime character that got unlucky. And I might be pity right now but at the very least some people tend to grow up from beyond that…
But like I said before 'some' of them grow up from the experience.
Taking my time, I began to use Requip to take out one of the many personalized Magic Spellbooks I want to read and learn.
This one just so happens to be the Amaterasu a Caster Magic that can be used for various purposes.
I managed to finally put it into writing with the proper instructions when fighting during the Second Trade War stealing the knowledge of other Wizards free of charge and this one just so happens to be from a nameless wizard that mastered the Amaterasu Magic…
I shamelessly took everything from the man and put in my Super Archive Magic for my own personal use along with transcribing everything down into Magic Spellbooks in the Guild Library as I personally donated copies of them.
I'm intending to use this as my basis to create another Alchemy Style revolving around hand signals but then memorize them by heart like that Netero fella from Hunter X Hunter. I thought of a fun experiment to test out another time.
It was one of the books that Precht added to his arsenal while learning more about it and interested in the subject.
Amaterasu is a Magic in which its users perform different hand patterns to create different effects. After performing these mudras, Amaterasu's Magic seals appear, with each formula having a different appearance.
Once written, the seals unleash lethal explosions around and inside the targeted area. The scale of the destruction caused by these explosions seems to be linked to the amount, of seals used in the spell, as Formula 28's explosion encompassed the space between two people, Formula 100's engulfed a significant portion of land.
Casting Amaterasu formulas seems to normally take a considerable amount of time to cast, but experienced users are able to cast them rapidly, even without the use of mudras.
It was one of the Magic Spells I haven't gotten around to see I didn't have time or simply forgot about it. But I definitely intend to have a hand signal for a fucking magic nuke or cannons…
As the saying goes bitches love cannons~
But since I have the time now, I began to see how this Magic operates to pass the time not taking my eyes off reading the contents and ignoring the two in front of us reading in our inner peace.

~Jellal POV~
What the hell are those two…
When did Fairy Tail get two Wizards comparable to the 10 Wizard Saints…?!!
Gildarts I could understand and along with their current Master Makarov Dreyar being ranked 9th after Jose Porla's immediate removal left an open space for a new member.
But also, where could these two Mages have been in hiding as their Magic Power alone should've given them recognition by the Magic Council?
Pondering on this I tried to provoke something from the two by our earlier words but the two just seemed to ignore them with a shrug or lack of response during the whole ride to our destination.
Internally I was annoyed by the unusual behavior of those two unlike the rest of the Fairy Tail members I'm so used to dealing with. They would argue back or look away dissatisfied and yet these don't seem to fit the build I have dealt with their kind before.
No reaction from the two in the least and the failed acted assassination attempt on our lives that was supposed to keep faith in the public in our characters did work we never expected to see two powerful Wizards assist us.
And it had to be Fairy Tail Wizards at that.
Mentally sighing at the lack of reactions as the two are simply reading leisurely it would be best to move forward in my plans to revive Zeref using the Magic Council weapons soon.
Soon Erza would be the perfect sacrifice needed for the R-System to be utilized. And then Zeref would be revived to walk the living planes once again!
Although if Fairy Tail is getting strong members like them it would be best to hire another assassination team from a Dark Guild.
Trinity Raven, also known as the Special Raiding Squadron of Assassins, with an elite trio of Assassin Mages from the Assassins' Guild Death's Head Caucus. They are good at what they do but I could add another team just to be sure.
I did hear about an up-and-coming group from the Dark Guild Carbuncle in the Principality of Veronica that rumors said to rival the Trinity Raven despite being so young of a group named Team Dyst.
It would do well to hire them when I enact my plan to revive Zeref with Ultear's help connecting me through her connections it shouldn't be much of a problem for someone like her at least.
Soon everything will fall into place and our Dark Savior will rise again!

~Ultear POV~
Hmm…
This could be a bit troubling.
After the stunt that tried to make our image look good, we didn't expect two powerful Mages to be of the 10 Wizard Saint levels to be here.
Although it wasn't bad as it did help support our image in the end helped identify these two, but they happen to be from Fairy Tail.
Sigh…
Why does such a weak guild have such talented monsters with them?
Although they aren't strong or close to a candle to my Guild Master Hades. I'm certain he would defeat them with no issue at all. Against a living young man as Master Hades, it would be a cakewalk for that old monster with experience under his belt.
Who knows perhaps he might be interested in recruiting them personally showing them the path towards 'TRUE' magic. The origin of all Magic on Earthland perhaps they would see but ultimately be up for Master Hades to decide.
Regardless though they are simple weaklings to be cautious of but after I get my hands on Zeref who will help me accomplish my wish…
All the sins I commented on will no longer matter as I will travel back in time to undo what needs to be done and all actions I have done here will be erased.
Time will reassure itself of that much with me changing the past once I get my hands on the Ultimate Magic World.
When I get too reawakened Zeref he would be able to help complete the Arc of Time, and with it, be able to go back in time to relive and change my past erasing any atrocities I have done under my time with Grimoire Hearts.
This is the reason why I do all the horrible things I do all for the chance to go back in time to fix my past erasing all my actions. I can be able to undo them once with Zeref's help he can help me complete the Arc of Time, to go back and live the life I always wanted.
But for now I must bide my time and wait…
After all time is on my side.
