Chapter 58

Lissa, also known as "Laser," was one of the six generals of the Dark Guild.

Knight, using his six eyes, quickly recognized the figure behind him. The yellow cockscomb hair, windproof sunglasses perched on a sharp, long nose—it was unmistakably Lissa. The distinct appearance made him easy to identify.

What's a member of the Dark Guild doing in Magnolia? Knight thought. He must be here for me.

As expected, Lissa wasted no time and initiated the conversation with a strange invitation.

"Knight, wizard of Fairy Tail and the pioneer of the magic Internet, known for your vibration magic, right?" Lissa posed confidently. He didn't attack right away; instead, he extended a seemingly friendly invitation. "Our leader wants to meet you."

Knight smirked as he turned to face him. "I'm not really a fan of trouble. Why stand when I can lie down? Why travel when I can stay home?" He paused and added with a grin, "Why don't you have your leader come to see me?"

Lissa sighed. He knew it wouldn't be that simple. Fighting in Magnolia, especially so close to the Fairy Tail guild, wasn't ideal. A commotion here could easily draw the attention of powerful guild members, or worse, Makarov himself.

"Three seconds," Lissa said, raising three fingers. Before the words had fully left his mouth, he disappeared, his speed exceeding the visual capabilities of most.

But Knight's six eyes easily tracked his movements. It felt like supersonic speed, but without the sound barrier breaking.

In a split second, Lissa appeared behind Knight and swung his right leg toward the back of Knight's head. Knight tilted forward slightly, causing the kick to narrowly miss, brushing past his hair.

"Huh?" Lissa muttered in surprise. Not missing a beat, he followed up with a powerful roundhouse kick using his left leg, but once again, Knight dodged effortlessly with a small step forward.

"Your magic is intriguing," Knight said casually.

Lissa pulled back, shocked. How could he dodge my attacks so easily? It wasn't a coincidence. Lissa knew that much. His attacks were precise and fast, yet Knight evaded them as though he had foreseen them.

"Eye magic?" Lissa guessed aloud, eyeing Knight's glowing pupils.

Knight smiled warmly. "No need to rush, Six Demon General. Why don't we sit down and chat? What exactly does your leader want from me?"

"You'll know when you come with me," Lissa said, not backing down. "Don't worry, you'll be safe."

Lissa advanced again, his disbelief evident. No one can dodge my speed every time!

However, Knight had no interest in fighting in the middle of Magnolia. Any damage would mean unnecessary repairs—and costs.

With a thought, Knight took to the air, hovering ten meters above the ground, once again dodging Lissa's attack. "How about we change locations? Think you can keep up?"

Lissa's eyes widened in disbelief as Knight shot upward, transforming into a beam of golden light as he flew toward the outskirts of the city.

"Flying too?!" Lissa growled. Without a second thought, he chased after him.

As Lissa raced through the night sky, Knight pondered what he knew about Lissa's leader. Brian, the head of the Six Demon Generals, was a powerful wizard with a dual personality. His outer persona was obsessed with magic knowledge and once served as the director of the Magic Development Bureau, creating many spells. But his inner persona, the true leader, was far more dangerous—a destroyer, feared for his immense power, rivaling even the Ten Wizard Saints. Brian used a spell called "Living Connection" to seal this darker personality, linking it to the lives of the Six Demon Generals. Only if all six were defeated would the inner personality awaken.

Knight had already flown to the eastern forest when he heard Lissa's voice from ahead of him.

"Too slow!" Lissa taunted, already perched on a tree branch, waiting for him.

Knight chuckled at Lissa's persistence. "Come down here and fight me!" Lissa demanded, crouching on the branch before launching into the air with a powerful kick aimed at Knight.

With a casual motion, Knight raised his hand and caught Lissa's ankle mid-air.

Bang!

The impact echoed, but Knight merely grabbed Lissa's leg and hurled him downward. Lissa twisted in mid-air, landing with perfect balance, his knees bent. As soon as his feet hit the ground, a red magic circle appeared under him.

"Red Field!" Lissa's speed doubled as he shot back into the air.

This time, Lissa's speed was almost twice as fast, his body a blur as he darted behind Knight again, aiming an upside-down kick at him.

However, a white magic shield enveloped Knight. When Lissa's kick connected with it, his expression shifted. A vibrating force blocked his attack in mid-air.

The next moment, the vibration intensified, sending a shockwave crashing into Lissa like a giant's punch. He was thrown to the ground, hitting the dirt with a loud thud, raising a cloud of dust.

"You're a fool," Knight said calmly, still hovering in the air. "Your magic is interesting, but it's meaningless in front of my eyes."

Lissa looked up, trembling. How could he see through my magic so quickly?

Knight's voice was almost condescending as he explained, "Your magic alters perception, slowing down my physical senses, making it seem like you're moving faster. But it doesn't weaken my reaction speed. And because you don't increase your actual speed, your attacks lack real power."

He sighed, a look of boredom crossing his face. "Frankly, it's tiresome."

Beads of sweat formed on Lissa's forehead as a chill crept up his spine. He's already figured out everything… in just a few moments?

"Are we done here?" Knight raised his right hand, and a small white light began to form in his palm. It quickly expanded into a compressed vibration ball, radiating intense energy.

"It's time to end this."

Knight released the vibration ball, sending it plummeting toward Lissa. As it neared the ground, it expanded rapidly, exploding just above Lissa's head.

Boom!

The explosion rocked the forest, white light illuminating the night sky as the shockwave flattened trees and sent debris flying. For a moment, it felt as if the very earth was shaking.

The battle had ended.
