Learning by your Fate (2/2)

Jackson's Point Of View

It's true, I said so.

Someone I've known for two days asked me what kind of problem I was having. In the span of two days, I confided in a single person that I have bipolar disorder. There's a lot of privacy there. When I was a child, my mother taught me this lesson.

"Sorry. The fact that you didn't know that surprised me. Let's talk about something else instead "Following my remark, Holly felt that she was to blame.

"Everything is fine, because you seem to be a reliable person. I only want to remain a normal person. I know I'm not perfect. I have a plain face, weed-colored hair, and a smile when someone speaks to me, but I do my best."

"Good work, Jack. Your disorder seems to make you want to cooperate with everyone else."

Upon hearing her say that, I laughed. The truth is, she knew I struggled with my disorder and tried to work with everyone else at the same time. When she finished, she grinned "Why are you staring at me in such a strange way? Does skin on my face looks strange?"

While I'm shaking my head, "I don't know what you mean. I'm smirking like a pervert."

"Your self-description as a pervert is inaccurate. Your own risk is assumed. When you are in close proximity to me, do not text me about your exciting personality. I will not accept it."

"Huh? Exactly who is it that is attempting to strike you? Me? If I've offended you, please accept my sincere apologies. This is something I'm very proud of, I told you."

"Okay."

"A lesson from your heart was next discussed. It's kind of fun to discuss things that make you laugh, cry, or feel both."

Dessy and Lisa were looking at each other as we walked back to the classroom after completing our assignment. This assignment requires them to work as a team.

Lisa, you can almost feel the heat rising from your body. After making fun of me, you deserved to get slapped.

Then, as we walked away, I smirked at them. These feelings are very difficult to express right now. Their heated exchanges make them entertaining to watch. How do they discuss?

Lisa's Point Of View

Why do I have to team up with this witch?

Before we leave the classroom, the teacher explains to us how to properly...

Classroom, early in the day.

"I've paired you all up with a new partner now. In contrast to the previous pairing, this one will only be in effect today."

When will you be able to pair up with someone else? This assignment is a nightmare...

Then, I lost touch with a familiar face. Dessy is the person in question. I don't understand what she's doing here. Are you sure she'll be my "partner"?

What the heck is going on with you?

"Hey, you're a moron. You're in the middle of nowhere."

"You don't know, do you? Your partner will be me ". She's irritated by my query.

I knew it, Bitch.

"That's all right. Please maintain a safe distance from me", This time, I allowed her to sit next to me instead of across from me.

"So, what are we gonna talk about it, Lisa?", She asked me.

"The conversation must be between friends. That's easy. I can tell you about it."

The teacher told us something important.

"You have my full approval to complete your assignment outside, so get off your bum and get out of here! You may want to look for air, scenery, or anything else that has to do with nature."

To complete our assignment, all students get up from their chairs and leave the classroom. However, Dessy did not agree with my decision. She tells me what kind of location would be best for our assignment. "I want our assignment completed in the canteen," she says.

Canteen?

Whether or not she has any ulterior motives for completing her assignment in the canteen. As we walked down the hall, other students took notice of our sudden 'partnership.' Upon our arrival at the canteen, Dessy hurried to purchase a beverage. Now she feels guilty for going to the canteen.

"To replenish our energy levels, we need to drink some liquids.", She hurriedly walked in search of a beverage.

What should I do?

The plain paper is in my hand, and I am searching for an empty sheet. I thought it was absurd that Dessy would buy drinks. Dessy was quick to respond when I sat down on the sheet after she bought drinks for us. She hands me one of the drinks she has in her hand.

Then I say, "Thank you." and accept her drink.

I guess it's a good thing that she was nice!

"It's all right, Lisa. What are you going to say about it in our assignment? You could also use the phrase 'learn from your fate.'"

"Which will it be, yours or mine?"

"Our fates are, of course, inevitable. Consider asking me about my fate on your own. You won't get a second chance to answer this question."

"Lisa, this is the case. What is your current career situation?"

Just what does she mean by that?

"What do you think?"

I am well aware that she is attempting to confuse me with her critical inquiries. With that question, I must remain calm. I'll be able to charm her into asking me any question she may have. I take a deep breath and say, "Okay, Dessy, ask me some questions that are creative in nature."

She said, "Alright, bring it on."

We stared at each other for a minute, until we both felt uneasy. Even though I'm thirsty from the weather, I drink. What a scorcher this weather is. With a smirk on their faces, even Jack and Holly have passed us by!

"Poor them," Jack said.

His hip was pinched as Holly warned him not to say anything to them.

Since this girl is my partner, he is entitled to say that.

Dessy finally speaks, saying, "Oh, I see."

"What?"

"Was the organizer trying to get you to give up your victory?"

"What? Who or what are you speaking of? It's funny to extort gossip from someone else."

"I gained the information from some source."

"Who? Your dad?"

There's no way I'm going to extort money out of the event's organizer. Dessy, you've asked me a stupid question! Where is the evidence that I extorted the organizer? Can you prove it to me?

Dessy smiled and pulled out her cell phone, swiping up, down, left, and right with her flashing fingers. She then slants her cell phone and shows me a video clip, which I find quite interesting. My conversation with one of the organizers is captured in the video along with my laughter and departure. What was I doing, she asked, "As a result of a video that Lisa has, Lisa wants Lisa to win the category. That's all I have to say about it."

Whoa, how could I have blackmailed them into allowing me to win??

"No, I'm not like that. Dessy, you've got it all wrong."

"I will record it if you wish to admit it."

Okay, Dessy, let's play this game! Watch and see who is wrong.

"Hi, I'm Lisa Hanugrah, and I'm here to prove that I don't extort money from anyone. Dessy Reeves has filed a lawsuit against me alleging that I extorted the event organizer to let me win the race. My fans, I'm sorry, but I didn't do it. That's what I'll admit. Thank you for expressing concern about this matter."

Dessy asks, "Is that all you have to say?"

"Yes, this is my only confession."

Dessy, I'm the winner. You can't prove that I'm blackmail the organizer to make me win.

"Lisa, do you think you have a chance of winning? Wait for my score-settling. This indictment will be overturned by me", She gets up and walks away from me, and I'm not sure where she went.

'Learning by fate' is written on a piece of plain paper on the dining room table. At least our heated discussion was accomplishing the task, and not a mental battle. With the paper in my hands, I get up and head back to the class room. As I entered the classroom, it was eerily quiet and no one was in attendance.

After a few minutes, the classroom became crowded, and we resumed our lesson as scheduled.

Author's Point Of View

As he returned to the classroom, the teacher explained that he had an urgent meeting in the teacher's room with the other teachers. He reminded the students that they should not overlook the year-long 'team-up' assignments. All students have left their classrooms and are heading home. Jackson sprinted away from the crowds to avoid being seen.

I need to go to the therapy clinic to get help with my condition. - Jackson

As he searched for his private counselor, he pulled out his cellphone and launched WhatsApp. A few moments later, he sends a message to the counselor.

Jackson: Can I come over to the hospital?

Counselor: Jackson, you're happier when come here. If you'd like to come see me, I'll be happy to see you.

Jackson: Thanks, I will be right there.

Counselor: Ok.

Jackson tells his mother that he'll be at the hospital in a few minutes (Which she knows). A taxi was ordered online for him to take him to the hospital, and he was told to wait at the front gate of the building. A few moments later Lisa, who had been staring at him for some time, leaned over and touched his shoulder lightly.

"Who's that?" he asks, looking back.

The witch, perhaps? – Jackson

"The other day, I saw you standing by yourself, acting like a jerk. Is it possible for you to join me in my limo?", Then, she invited Jackson to ride along in her limo with her.

"I'm fine, thank you very much. You're welcome for the offer."

When I asked, "Are you sure?"

Jackson nods. "Yeah."

Because Jackson's online taxi has already arrived, Lisa leaves Jackson alone at the front gate. As Jackson rides along, he makes eye contact with Lisa throughout the trip. As part of his counseling, Jackson went to the hospital to meet with his counselor. He went to the hospital and had to be treated there.

Dr. Jasmine Blaise is his counsellor. She is a doctoral student in psychiatry and Dr. Issac Garcia's partner. While attending one of his father's events, Jackson and Dr. Jasmine got to know each other better. In the presence of his father, he is introduced to the doctor. As a teenager, Jasmine was a close friend.

He makes his way to the hospital and registers for a consultation with Dr. Jasmine, which he then attends. After that, he sits in the chair next to Dr. Jasmine's room and waits for her to finish. He's sitting next to her room when Dr. Jasmine walks into the hospital for the first time. Greeting Jackson as she approaches, Dr. Jasmine says, "Jackson, how are you? Our therapy session is about to begin."

"Yes, I'm ready," he says, nodding his head in agreement.

When they enter, they find a white room with a black desk, a white chair, and a brown cupboard. They begin to talk. While Dr. Jasmine is seated in the wheelchair, Jackson is in the white chair. "Good afternoon, Doc!" Jackson said at the beginning of the consultation.

"Jack, good afternoon. What was the highlight of your day so far?", She responds with a sincere grin.

"I'm in good health. Despite that, you can say that everything is fine."

"You're good to go for today's activity, then. You're going to school today, correct?"

"Yes."

"Have you got any problems you'd like to discuss with me?"

"Doc, how much do you describe "fate" in your explanations?"

"Which part of my reaction to 'fate' do you mean?"

He nods his head in approval.

She takes a deep breath, and then she exhales "Fate is a given, right? Everyone, everywhere, seems to be aware of how fate relates to them at all times. 'Fate' is real to me. You may be aware that I once had a boyfriend."

"Wow."

"It's true, he is. Nice is how I would describe my boyfriend to someone who has never met him before. A second doctor in the hospital is my boyfriend. Dr. Isaac is his given name. He's a Christian American who identifies as straight, according to his own definition. Has a master's in psychology from an accredited university. Isaac appears to be in good physical condition. Brown hair and olive skin cover his tall frame. His blue eyes stand out against his olive complexion. Issac was born and raised in an impoverished neighborhood. His mother abandoned him when he was a child, leaving him to be raised by his stoner father."

Jackson thought, "What a miserable man."

"Yeah, when he meets me, his destiny changes. His most recent romance was with me, who was two years older than he was at the time of the affair. We're together because Dr. Issac thought I was a good match for him. Then, he made me uncomfortable. It's the first time I've been unable to speak about it... Dr. Isaac becomes my boyfriend as time goes on. Fate, on the other hand, remains unstoppable."

Dang.

"Okay… My boyfriend's story has led me to believe that fate has a hand in my life. I'm curious about your thoughts, Jack. Which of the following words best describes your understanding of destiny:"

"Fate, in my opinion, is when the heart is blessed by something, and when the sentiment of the day is reflected in it."

"There are a lot of quotations there, I guess. ...and now that you know about the fate, that's awesome!"

It was a pleasure working with you, doctor."

"Jack, you're most welcome. Stay healthy and let me know if you have any concerns, okay?"

"Okay, doc. You're always in my thoughts. Goodbye, doctor."

After seeing a figure standing and calling his name on the medicine desk, Jackson exited Dr. Jasmine's office.

"Jackson?"

He takes a closer look at the figure...

Maria? - Jackson
