CHAPTER 655: Come With Me!

"What? Young man, what are you doing here?" Kelly exclaimed in surprise when he finally discovered Han Shuo's presence.

Back in the Kasi Empire, Han Shuo had once teamed up with Kelly to bring down the Ice Shrine. The two had never been best friends by any stretch of the imagination, but they had once fought side by side and were at least friendly with each other.

"I was going to ask you the same question!" Han Shuo also had an awkward smile on his face. After Kelly and the middle-aged man had appeared, Donna seemed alarmed. Without having to think too hard, Han Shuo could tell that the middle-aged man was not a friend but an enemy. The fact that they were in opposing factions meant that they might have to fight each other.

Han Shuo had a pretty good impression of Kelly. The Druidic Order was an important partner of the Lancelot Empire. Han Shuo did not want to become Kelly's enemy. But just from Donna's expression, Han Shuo knew that he had no choice. He felt rather helpless.

Kelly let out a sigh. He too was aware of the situation and didn't seem to want to make an enemy of Han Shuo. He felt just as helpless.

"Why are you all standing here? Don't tell me that you have travelled from distant lands across the universe just to stare at me?" the middle-aged man who had come with Kelly said to the crowd with a smile as everyone stared at him foolishly.

"I really did not expect Lord Olde to be here. This is getting more and more interesting!" Donna relaxed and smiled.

"My main purpose in coming to this world is to locate the remains of my ancestor. And, of course, I have to come here to see the wonders of this place. After all, my ancestor's death seemed to be linked to the strangeness of this place," the middle-aged man they called Olde nodded smilingly and explained to Donna.

Immediately after hearing Olde's words, a thought crossed Han Shuo's mind - could this Tree of Life under the barren island of the Boundless Sea be the ancestor Olde was trying to locate?

The moment Olde appeared, Han Shuo's avatar, who cultivated in the elemental energy of death, felt somewhat uncomfortable. Just as gods who cultivated in the element of darkness would be particularly sensitive to the presence of gods who cultivated in the element of light, Han Shuo's avatar who cultivated in the element of death was sensitive to gods who cultivated in the edict of life.

As Olde approached Han Shuo's group, he noticed that Donna was staring at Olde warily, as if ready to deal with Olde's attack at any moment.

As Olde walked past Donna, he stopped in front of her. He chuckled and said smilingly, "Miss Donna, please don't be so tense. I have only stopped by to look around this place. Unless you intend to destroy all life on this continent, I will do you no harm!"

"Well, if that's the case, that would be great!" Donna said in a false calm. She was still on guard against him.

"We people who cultivate in the Edict of Life are all lovers of life. We will only take life as a last resort! Haha, the last time the situation between our factions escalated to the point of war, it was because they wanted to destroy all life on the continent. That is why my ancestors were forced to step forward. As long as your people have no such intentions, I believe we will both have a very pleasant trip! Olde said with a smile. Despite his friendly demeanour, there was a deeper meaning to his speech.

Donna did not reply, but nodded silently. No one knew what she had in mind.

"Hi there! You must be Bryan?" Olde suddenly turned towards Han Shuo and showed a rather fascinated face.

Han Shuo was startled. He had no idea how Olde would recognise him. He looked at Olde in confusion and nodded while looking at the people around him.

"I've heard about you from Kelly. Haha, you seem interesting; a pretty good boy. But what a shame you chose to cultivate in the element of death!" Olde joked as he looked deep into Han Shuo's eyes.

Han Shuo was stunned and did not understand what Olde actually meant. He did not play clever by replying as if he actually understood those words.

Donna, Bolten and the others looked back and forth between Olde and Han Shuo with astonished and confused eyes. They could not understand why Olde would be interested in a being as small as Han Shuo.

""Well, I wish you all the best!" Olde said no more. He smiled and nodded to Han Shuo before leaving with Emperor and his party.

At that moment, Kelly, who was following Olde, looked at Han Shuo and forced a smile, but then sighed and shook his head before leaving with Olde.

On the other side, when Eriksson saw Olde approaching, he suddenly gave an irritated look and let out a soft groan. However, he did not voice his discontent.

On the Profound Continent, the Shrine of Ice and the Druidic Order had long been at odds, fighting for more followers. The strife in the mortal world surely had some effect on the gods who oversaw the workings of their religious organisations. It was not surprising that some of them would be unhappy to meet those from the other side.

"Let's go, we are going deeper!" Emperor called softly. He glanced at Donna from a distance, then turned to Olde and suggested, "Lord Olde, would you mind leading our group?"

"No, I'm just going to look around with you. Please don't mind me!" Olde rejected Emperor's suggestion and chuckled.

"Alright then, let's go!" Emperor did not insist. He took the initiative to lead the way, secretly sending meaningful glances at Eriksson, who was wearing a sour face, hinting to him not to sabotage the relationship.

They headed straight for the Ninth Realm Mystical Yin Harvester, as if they had simply forgotten the presence of Donna and her party.

Han Shuo, standing next to Donna, could tell that she was obviously relieved when Olde rejected Emperor's proposal. After Emperor and the others had gained some distance, Donna turned to the youngsters behind her and solemnly instructed, "Try not to provoke that Olde fellow as much as possible. He is notorious for being a nuisance. As long as he's not hostile, we don't have to worry about him!

It was clear from her words that Donna was very concerned about this man. After she had finished speaking, the team of arrogant youths expressed their agreement. It seemed that they were familiar with Olde's story.

"This Olde character, is he very difficult to deal with?" among the group, Han Shuo was the only person who knew nothing about Olde.

Donna forced a smile, nodded and explained, "Olde is notorious for being a nosy little bastard. He also happens to be remarkably strong. Where we come from, Elysium, the plane of the gods, Olde is known to be a very peculiar fellow. Most things don't interest him. But once something catches his interest, he will never let go until he gets what he wants. A real headache, this guy!

Elysium, the plane of the gods! This was the first time Donna mentioned her heritage to Han Shuo. He was quite shocked.

Han Shuo had heard about Elysium from several sources. Bechymos and that McKinley trapped in the Holy Grail had mentioned Elysium more than once.

According to Han Shuo's understanding, Elysium, the plane of the gods, should have been the highest material plane of all. Legend had it that Elysium was the dwelling place of the Supreme Creator. The elemental energies there were more intense than on any other material plane. This material plane was suitable for the cultivation of all elemental energies and edict powers.

Elysium also housed the most energy ores, the most powerful gods, the most ancient family clans, and countless enigmatic secrets. It was said to be infinitely vast, the centre of the universe, where the gods gathered and dwelt.

According to Bechymos and McKinley, Elysium was the birthplace of the gods, and also the place where gods from numerous material planes gathered. Virtually all the Overgods lived on Elysium.

As everywhere else, Elysium was home to numerous powerhouses. The most powerful of these, of course, were the Twelve Overgods, who cultivated the Twelve Basic Powers. Many of the ancient family clans pledged their allegiance to one of the twelve Overgods. Not only were these family clans constantly at war with Elysium, but they never ceased to fight for control of all the major material planes.

In this infinitely vast universe, perhaps ninety percent of all low, medium and high material planes were under the control of these ancient families and the twelve Overgods living on Elysium.

Having heard so many stories about Elysium, Han Shuo knew how important the God Plane was. Now, after learning from Donna that she and her team were from that very plane, Han Shuo finally understood why these people would think of themselves as superior beings after arriving on the Profound Continent.

Elysium, the plane of the gods. After I take care of all my business on the Profound Continent, I will make sure to go there personally and take a look! Han Shuo thought to himself.

"Let's go, we'll catch up with them!" Donna instructed her team as Han Shuo made a decision.

Emperor, Olde and the others had all disappeared from sight. Donna, Han Shuo and their partners hurried ahead. They encountered no abnormality or danger as they approached the Ninth Realm Mystical Yin Harvester, where the Mystical Yin Aura was thickest and most dense.

Feeling the intense Mystical Yin Aura around him, Han Shuo took a few deep breaths greedily. He indulged in the wonderful sensation of the Mystical Yin Aura entering his chest, gently passing through the meridians and bones in his body before being transformed by his demonic infant into energy as light as threads that were deposited throughout his body.

Looking into the distance, Han Shuo discovered that the several towering mountains in front of him seemed to have been moved to this place by an immense amount of supernatural power, altering nature to form this miraculous Ninth Realm Mystical Yin Harvester. He could not have been more amazed.

After actually arriving at the formation and observing the breathtaking scenery around him, Han Shuo was in such awe of the person who had deployed the demonic formation that he could not express it in words. A project of this magnitude was not as simple as moving the mountains and draining the seas. The laws of nature were extremely diverse and complicated. Han Shuo simply did not dare to imagine how terrifying the power of the person who managed to accomplish such a feat would be.

"Incredible! This seems to be man-made! But who would have the determination to build such a magnificent structure?" Olde exclaimed in amazement.

"Could one of the Overgods have come to this material plane by chance and used their divine energy to create this masterpiece?" Emperor muttered his guess. He was also extremely astonished.

"This is impossible. All of this could not have been achieved with just one type of elemental energy or edict energy! It would take at least several Overgods to create such a spectacle!" Eriksson said in a deep voice.

Hearing these words, the group shook and scratched their heads. They knew better than to think that these Overgods would be bored enough to do such a thing. Besides, there was bad blood between the Overgods, and they wouldn't have cooperated to work on such an undertaking. However, everything they saw here showed vague signs of being man-made. No matter how hard they racked their brains, they couldn't come up with an explanation.

"Incredible!" Donna couldn't help but exclaim in surprise as she saw that the towering mountains seemed to have been twisted and arranged into a monstrous design.

Han Shuo's first impression of the twisted mountains was that they had been altered by some kind of demonic art technique. There were some marks on them that gave Han Shuo a familiar feeling. However, the more he thought about it, the more he realised that he had no idea what was going on.

The scene on this third level of the underground world had completely exceeded Han Shuo's imagination. He was rendered speechless as he saw the Ninth Realm Mystical Yin Harvester being formed, using the mountains as the formation crux and the earth being torn to create the formation lines.

"I think we will only fully understand what is really going on here when we arrive at the deepest part of it!" Olde suddenly chimed in excitedly.

Hearing these words, even Donna and her party showed some hesitation. Before coming here, they had been vaguely told by their ancestors about the dangers of this place. So when they heard Olde suggest that they should venture deeper, they began to worry for their own safety.

Before they had even reached this formation, they had suffered a round of painful blows from over a dozen mystical demons. It didn't take much intelligence to deduce that the most mysterious region would hold the greatest danger. They now had second thoughts about moving forward.

"What are you afraid of? Isn't the exploration of the area your purpose for coming here? Why have you all turned hesitant when you are right at the front door?" Olde scoffed.

"Let's go!" Han Shuo said suddenly before taking the lead in entering. After entering, he turned around and looked at Donna with a bright smile. He said, "Come with me, I don't think we'll have too much trouble!"
