2. Ally

Class calmed down and Mr. Vardas got the necessary attention as hands started raising, everyone except two. The stark contrast was that the girl was sitting in the first row in middle and the boy was at the corner. Anyone could have missed him but Mr. Vardas could see him because of his heightened senses.

Mr. Vardas " Ally, why don't you answer ?" asked to the only girl who had not raised her hand.

Everyone was brought to attention to her but she was still out of place.

" You have to understand that you are different from them. There was already a gap between status and there is another reason now. You'll never see them again as your world is out there making discoveries and they will be left behind. If I'm not going to separate you from them they will. You'll notice a much different and deeper kind of emotion emotion in them...."

"Ally, Ally, Ally! , are you there? We lost you there for a moment."

Ally was jolted awake by the shouting of Mr. Vardas's shout. Everyone was bewildered as this was the first time Ally was behaving strangely. She was a model student and a class monitor who was named sunflower by everyone her in class. Not because she was bright and bubbly but she was just warmer to look at. She didn't have more than three friends but she was known by everyone in school due to her kind nature.

Ally was embarrassed about the whole development of situation and was trying to recall was what asked. After taking a deep breath she calmed down, she saw everyone's faces and some mumblings of answers from her friends.

Ally " Sorry Sir. Sorry everyone. I was just distracted for a second. We signed an alliance treaty with two neighbouring civilization. They are Mard and Sulli."

Mr. Vardas " Thank you , Ally. That was very kind of you for being attentive in class." said sarcastically.

Everyone muffled their laughter as this was one of the rare moment where Ally was embarrassed.

This only happened second time in history of their school year. As another moment played in everyone's mind as they remembered the first time was when their favourite P.E. teacher was leaving the school in their junior year. Ally proposed to marry the teacher if she was willing to stay. People were bewildered what was happening and after asked by explanation from Dean, Ally innocently said while tears flowing out of her cheeks" That's what I heard some boys in our school mentioning that they will give anything to marry her." The whole assembly hall was filled with laughter, the teachers were barely suppressing them and their lips were twitching. Ally didn't came to school for whole week after that.

Ally knew that the voice telling her was right, as during her school years she felt it too. When they were children every classmate was friends but as soon as the results were out there was divide between her friends. This gap got wider as she excelled in sports and it keep getting wider as kept getting accolades for most of the activity. Then a particular divide was created when everyone kept getting conscious about the social status. Then nothing was same anymore. People kept getting further away from her and she kept getting ostracised. There were people still talking to her but their behaviour and tone became different. It became same as her babysitter and driver. Ally then knew she was in different social class from them still she tried to create same atmosphere by being nice, but it didn't make any difference.
