Euphoric Ecstasy

Fifty-Shades of Grey, 365, and American Psycho all in one. Lex Maō, a supermodel and CEO of a multi-billion dollar company, presents himself as a cold-hearted, methodical intellectual who doesn't care about anything or anyone. Ryan Moore, a very broken girl with big dreams manages to fall into his sights and quickly piques his interests. Lex craving entertainment, sees her as an opportunity for fun and injects himself into her life. But everyone knows the cliché of how the lion fell in love with the lamb and how they lived happily ever after... Well the story's much darker than that. Everyone has a secret they'd kill to keep quiet and when you are treated like a villain, a villain you'll most likely become, Lex was no exception. Excerpt: Ryan's PoV: "I could buy you the world and you still wouldn't accept me, would you?" He looked at me with an uncharacteristic anxiousness. "You aren't the problem Lex." I stared up at him. "It's what you do that I find so repulsing." For the first time there was genuine hurt in his eyes, his normal arrogant smirk was replaced by a look of deep torture. "You find me repulsing?" He suddenly had withered into something as delicate as a flower, teetering on the brink of self-destruction. "You told me you were a monster..."I hated him for lying to me, but something deep within me yearned to hold him. "So act like one and prove it, not that it will change anything." Lex's PoV: As I pulled into the rundown warehouse I knew all too well, I could feel her eyes on me, so I turned to witness a confused and slightly distraught expression plastered over her striking facial features. "What the hell is this?" A discontent, annoyed tone did it's best to hide her anxieties, but her eyes can't lie. I took a deep sigh and closed my eyes. "Ōjo, this is your last chance, once you know there's no turning back. Ignorance is bliss. Let's just go back to the condo and forget abou-" "NO!" Her nostrils flared wildly as her features tensed and wrinkled in her frustration. "Stop trying to get out of this! I'm not going to live a lie! Now show me what the fuck Oyabun means or I'm fucking leaving Lex!! I'll leave you and this city and all of your bullshit!!" She shouted furiously, her intense rage seething through all of her straining muscles. "Fine." I said in a soft, monotone pitch, my deadpan expression the result of the suppression of my pain, my gaze looking towards the cracked walls and the broken, busted, and boarded windows before I turned to see her. She was already staring intently at me, her vehemently bitter glare directed towards my eyes. I closed them and sighed deeply, taking comfort in the darkness, calming my nerves via the sight of the empty expansive nothingness afforded to me by my shut eyelids. Then I opened the car door and followed the path inside where I was greeted by many large muscular men, mostly Asian, and all with dragon tattoos poking out slightly from under the cuffs of their formal fitted black attire. Ryan's PoV: I was so confused, so anxious, so terrified, so sad and fucking enraged all at once that it felt like he had left the knife in after stabbing it in my heart. I just couldn't keep myself from thinking, my mind was working overtime. The worst thoughts and possibilities came to me over and over in such a short time span. I wasn't sure I was going to make it. I stared at him from the passenger seat of the car, as he talked to the tatted men. He towered over them, everything about him screamed whispers that only a few could hear. The mens faces were growing meaner and Lex's expression was still calm. He pulled out a gun, aiming it at the head of the man he was talking to, almost instantaneously he pulled the trigger. I let out a scream as the gun's echo shocked me back to reality. The pieces were slowly falling together, it all started to make sense as the other men bowed before him.

Ryan's PoV:

Before I knew it it was 8 o'clock.

"We've been here for five hours, aren't you tired of talking to me?"

"No, not really. You piqued my curiousity."He let out a small breath.

"Figured you'd be annoyed by now."I leaned back into the cushy booth.

"Heh... I can handle a little girl."

"Excuse you?"I glared.

"You heard me."He stifled a small laugh.

"We've been talking about me all night,"I leaned forward, resting my he's done the clasped hands. "Tell me something about yourself."

"It's like the twenty question quiz with you.. And yoh haven't told me anything of much value."

"And I don't plan to."I felt a smug grin beginning to form on my face, but I tried to shake it away.

He took a sip from his drink. "We'll play it by ear. All I've learned is that I take you to an upscale restaurant and you order a sprite and eat like a pig."

"How dare you and at least I can use chopsticks properly."I glared, lifting my head up.

He completely ignored my statement, leaning forward to match my position. "You just have this air about you, I don't quite understand yet."

I shook off his hurtful comment and his curiosity. "Look, I don't have time for these little games you seem to want to play. Tell me, what exactly do you want from me?"

"If I told you, you'd not believe me. Sound familiar?"He grinned.

I rolled my eyes, leaning back once again into the booth. "I'm leaving." I stood up.

"Wait... Don't you want want to hear about me"He reached out to touch my hand.

I immediately moved my hand before he could reach it, which he seemed to be hurt by for a moment before recovering. I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Ok...I'll stop."He seemed to sulk for a few moments, before once again recovering.

I sat back down. "You were saying?"I said smugly.

"My full name is Ryker Alexander Maō, if you couldn't tell I'm Japanese-American, I'm twenty-four years old, I'm 6'4". I run Fletcher Incorporated and I'm a supermodel."

Some of these things, people would kill for and he just spouts it off as if it's the most uninteresting thing in the world. What's his deal?

"Wait you're how tall?!"

"6'4."

"What the hell."

"What?"

"Save some height for the rest of us. Sheesh."I was only half-kidding.

"You're only a foot and an inch shorter than I am."

"Wow, well when you say it like that it's just-"

"Enough."He was amused by my sarcasm.

"You live two hours away don't you?"

"Yes."I said remembering that fact, "And I have work tomorrow. Shit. You know this is your fault. I'm not going to get home until probably 11ish."

"You can't do math either huh?"

"No you dip-ass, we drove an hour away from Fletcher Incorporated to get here and I live two hours away from the company."I corrected him.

"Then just crash at my place tonight. It's only 45 minutes away."

"No way."I shook my head. "That's not gonna happen."

"How much is it going to cost you to get home?"

"I don't know."I reaching for my purse which wasn't there.

"Shit!"I realized that I didn't have my purse with me.

He grinned, "Looks like you have no choice."

"And why can't Bruce take me home?"

"Doesn't matter."He said plainly.

I glared, "Fine."I grumbled.

I picked up my phone activating my assistant, "Where are we?"

"One57 - 157 West 57th Street - Midtown West."my phone answered in it's automated British accent.

"What the hell. You really live here?"

"Did you honestly expect anything less?"He opened the door and once again extended his hand.

"I suppose I didn't."I got out on my own.

Soon we were at his front door, he typed in the code. As the door was moved and gave way to the inside of the billionaire's not so humble abode a vast open space was revealed that contained the dining, kitchen, and living areas, each room perfectly capturing and showcasing the man's obscenely rich lifestyle of profound decadence, each marble countertop and diamond light fixture and all the other ridiculous expensive items were placed there as a sign of power, all showcasing his unnecessarily immense wealth. The kitchen was fitted with high-tech, top of the line appliances, the black smart fridge matched the steel grey of the appliances. Even the barstools to his marble island countertop screamed wealth in all of their simplicity. The cool grey tones of his Wynn Sectional - Slate couch matched the oversized 120 inch Sony tv. The square glass coffee table sat perfectly in the middle of the large dark smokey grey rug. The dining room table was one made of glass with ornate silver designs making up the table legs, with cushy Washington Prism Lounge Chairs by Design David Adjaye, 2014 to match. The latest Xbox and PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Alexa system were all lined up perfectly on the glass tv stand. He had a large bookshelf lines with books, DVDs, and video games to satisfy the world's biggest hermit.

"How many rooms is this?"I was irritated with the spaciousness and ambiance, his entire kitchen and living room was bigger than my entire apartment.

"Three rooms, two upstairs, one downstairs."He

I let out an annoyed breath. "You have exquisite taste."I said through gritted teeth.

"Say again?"

I glared at him.

"Which room am I gonna sleep in?"I just wanted to get away from him.

"In my room."

"Uhm I think I'll pass."I said smugly.

"Well my room is the only one with a bed."

"What?"I huffed.

"One room is my office and one room is my room."

"And what about the third?"He was being coy and it was gettinng on my nerves.

"That's my business. Go shower."He walked over to the fridge, grabbing a Fiji water.

God even his fridge was rigidly organizated.

"Where are the bathrooms?"I was too tired to even argue at this point about this.

"Each room has a bathroom and then there is a guest bathroom."He pointed to the door near the wall of windows as he leaned on the white marble island.

I headed for the bathroom, "Take your shoes off."

I was caught off guard, but I did what he told me, I took of my shoes and headed for the bathroom.

"Use the one in my room."He ordered.

I huffed, but complied, once again I was too tired to bother arguing about something so trivial.

I walked up the glass-esque steps that made up his staircase. I could feel his eyes following me.

"Which room is it?!"I yelled.

"The one on the left!"He yelled back.

I opened the door and once again his extravagant & indulgent lifestyle was made quite apparent. A California King-sized bed was in the middle of his room, with a small two step staircase around it. The far wall was made of windows.

I clicked my tongue and walked over to the double doors, I opened both of them and was in a large walk in closet. I grumbled at this and stomped to the other double doors, which revealed a sleek black marble double sink and a frameless glass rain shower that was bigger than my own bathroom, next to it was a dark grey freestanding bathtub. Next to a wall of windows.

I let out a sigh and peeled the dress and heels off of me.

I stepped into the shower and there was all the products I used, from the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash to the exfoliating loofah. I didn't think anything of it, but as I showered, I noticed male shower products.

What was he doing with my exact products? I was too exhausted to explore the possibility.

I stepped out of the shower, and realized there wasn't any towels. "Where are the towels!?"I yelled.

"In the drawer!"

I walked over to the large drawer and there perfectly stacked were white towels. I wrapped one around my body and stared at my reflection in the mirror.

"Shit."I forgot to take our my contacts and I was only now realizing that they had both come out of my eyes. I ran to the shower and squinted trying to find the blue. But they were nowhere to be found.

I sighed. "Those cost me a fortune."

Somehow the exact products I use on my hair were neatly lined on the countertop. I did my hair for the curly hairstyle, instead of the straight hairstyle, I don't know what possessed me to do so, but I just know I felt compelled.

"What am I supposed to wear!?"I yelled.

"Whatever I give you."Lex's voice was so close it made me jump. I turned around and there he was standing at in doorway.

"What are you doing!?"I glared, gripping my towel tighter.

"It's my house. I'm allowed to be here."He smirked, looking me up and down.

"Get out."I said annoyed, pushing him or of the doorway.

He grabbed my wrist. "You got away with that once. Don't think you'll get away with it again. In public is different, but we're alone, so you'd better be careful."His tone was firm.

I flinched wincing at his grip.

His eyes widened and he released me. He cleared his throat, straightening his suit. "I'm here because I need to shower."

"Can't you use the other bathrooms?"

"No."

"Whatever."I walked past him.

"And what do you expect to wear?"He smirked turning around to follow my frame.

"I-"I turned around to face him, "What am I supposed to wear."I refused to be sheepish in front of him, I tried my best to keep my composure.

"I had your bag brought from the office and I laid out some pajamas for you."He shut the door to the bathroom.

I turned around and there lay a large oversized white shirt and grey pajama pants.

I put on the t-shirt and the pajama pants. The shirt was more like a dress on me.

I stood looking out the window at the beautiful ocean of lights below.

"What are you doing?"I turned around and there stood Lex with a towel around his waist.

"I...Ahem. I'm just looking."I felt uncomfortablely weird.

"You can lay on the bed."He chuckled. "That's where you are going to be sleeping."He dried his hair with a smaller towel.

I felt so awkward as I climbed into his large bed.

He took off his towel.

"Wha- What're you doing?!"I shielded my eyes.

"I'm getting dressed."He chuckled again.

A few silent moments passed as he got dressed.

"You can look now."He said with a smug smile.

I hesitantly unshielded and opened my eyes, he stood there with low hanging red and black pajama pants and black Calvin Klein clung to his waist, barely concealing his v cut. While he was lean he was just the right amount of muscular, with well defined pecs and abs.

"I have some business to attend to, make yourself comfortable."Lex stared at me for some time, "You're real eyes are beautiful."He stared for a moment longer, before heading downstairs.

I didn't know what to say, I settled in the bed and looked at the high-tech alarm clock. It read 1:31A.M. in green.

I don't know how long I laid there thinking, but I did, then I drifted off into sleep.
