Never did he think that getting consent from his parents would be such a hassle. Only after an hour-long discussion was Noah able to get consent from his father.

But surprisingly once Noah got the OK from his father, it looked like he himself was enthusiastic to help Noah get the remaining vote from his mum.

"Dear, I think we should allow Noah to go to the academy. He is at that age where he needs to grow up with peers of his age."

'Yes! One down, one to go.'

"He might grow up to be an introvert if he sits at home all the time"

'Yes. Yes. Come on dad, you can do it!'

"He needs to make friends and learn to socialize.'

"How else will he learn how to talk and treat girls?"

"He can sit at home and study but eventually he needs to come out and join society."

Looking at Noah's bright expression frozen in place after Edwin's previous comment, Trish found it difficult to say otherwise.

"Alright, we will allow you to enrol into the academy on conditions."

"First and foremost, Dr Clara must give an ok"

"You are not allowed to do any physical activities while at the academy."

"You'll get regular health check-ups from Dr Clara."

As the list went on for nearly another hour, he couldn't help but think if it was the right choice to go.

The Enid Academy established in 788 was located at Axar, the capital city of the Equirrion kingdom.

The academy was well known for producing top scholars and knights of the continent. It was also the current champion of the continental tournament.

From what Noah could gather, unlike schools in his previous world, children usually were homeschooled till the age of 10 and then were sent to academies or other institutions based on their capabilities for the next 6 years.

The Enid academy among the few were ones that strictly respected merit over heritage. This meant children of all backgrounds were respected based on their abilities.

Not only did it protect the students from poor backgrounds but it also provided them with facilities and power they could otherwise not have had.

While Noah spent countless hours on side quests in EtherWorld, he didn't get a chance to explore the school and other academic districts as they were heavily guarded and protected from outside influence.

As there was less than a month to start his academic year at Enid, Noah didn't want to go without preparing.

One of the things Noah requested from his parents during the discussion was to get an allowance.

Although money wasn't a major requirement, Noah wanted to keep some in handy in case a need arose.

Lucky for him, Wilhelmina also supported this decision on the grounds that Noah would learn to be responsible and he would only use it when needed.

Looking at his new credit card, Noah decided to inaugurate it with a bit of e-shopping.

Presently, Noah's priority was to strengthen his body and fix his domain. Although the latter might take some time and research, strengthening his body might be faster.

Since Clara already confirmed Skadi's idea to continuously use mana, Noah could finally use his mana without risking his health.

Purchasing two grade 1 vitality potions, Noah exited the e-shop.

Closing his laptop Noah decided to head to Doctor Clara's lab to continue with his physical training.

As the daily quests were still active, Noah continued to get penalised each day as he was unable to meet the requirement.

'HUD'

Enabling the HUD overlay, Noah was able to see the familiar mini-map, health and other indicators at the corners of his vision.

Although the HUD overlay was very useful, Noah disabled it as it felt like having small bubbles that constantly blocked his peripheral vision.

Everything looked more or less the same since he last used it. But on a closer look, Noah could see a small bubble with an exclamation sign on top of the quests icon.
