Yes It Did

Demyan

I cried against my pillow as I felt the pain claw inside me again. I thought of all I had achieved whilst Ethan had been out of my life. The companies I had launched, the awards I had gotten, the movie roles, the recognition that I was following in Dad's footsteps, I met a girl, a bright girl and I even made a small life all in the five years Ethan had been out of my life.

I then thought of all I had done in the five months he had been back. The hurt I had caused, the beautiful girl's heart I had broken, my baby's heart, the disappointment in my parents, my own pain, the fact I accelerated my heart into becoming weak and that I had cut my hair in a moment of insanity.

How could loving someone make you go into a downward spiral? Love was meant to make you flourish. To make you feel like you could finally breathe, smile and be happy so unapologetically that you just wanted to scream it off a rooftop. That was the love I craved.
