Chapter - 47

Babylon tower

Theresa was running through the battlefield, she had just arrived after her initial retreat back at HQ where Otto forced her to master Judah, she never thought that making her way to the Babylon Tower would have been that hard, she was almost stepped on by the titans, almost shot by the guardsmen and knocked down from a charging Astartes, the only good thing was that the Honkai beasts were totally ignoring her. Her objective was to face the Herrscher with the power of Judah.

While from the outside, Theresa looked calm and determined, in reality, inside her heart and mind there was a tornado of emotions. She was worried for Cecilia, the valkyries she met while pushing towards the tower had told her that Cecilia was pulled inside some sort of portal leaving her weapon behind...then she learned that Anastasia herself had led the imperial forces into battle. Theresa knew that soon or later she will meet her sister, and the thing scared her a bit.

The last time she spoke to Anastasia was at her birthday, the first one Theresa spent without her sister. Since then, the valkyrie wasn't able to speak with her, the only sign that Anastasia still cared for Theresa was the fact that each year she would leave a gift on her birthday...

Theresa shook her head trying to dismiss those thoughts when suddenly an Assaka came falling down in front of her which clearly startled the Valkyrie, she looked past the honkai beast and saw Samus giving orders to her Honoured hunters. The Primarch arm cannon was fuming indicating that she was the one who took down the Assaka. Theresa was about to go away to resume her march towards the tower but she found herself surrounded by the Legio Astartes.

"My Primarch" one of the hunters shouted as he looked at the small Valkyrie "That's Theresa Apocalypse"

Theresa cursed under her breath and was ready to fight her way through them if it would have come to that, she was about to do so when Samus stepped in front of her "So we finally meet" she said coldly "The Empress told me about you..."

Meanwhile, on the other side of the battlefield, the battle between Bella and Najenda was raging on, the humanoid honkai had an injured wing thanks to Najenda's plasma cannon and so couldn't use her ability to fly to her advantage.

The humanoid Honkai jumped in front of Najenda gathered Honkai energy in her hands and aimed to the least armored area of her power armor, but the Primarch's reflexes were faster and so Najenda blocked the attack which was so powerful that the air around them exploded in purple energy, cracked the earth beneath them and spread a shockwave around both which knocked down several trees.

Bella was sure that even though, the Primarch blocked the attack she was at least injured. the Honkai beasts didn't let the smoke of the previous attack clear out that she followed with several more strikes in a matter of milliseconds, she was giving her all to stop the Primarch from marching to the tower, she didn't care if her lips slowly got injured due to the fact that she was hitting extremely though power armor. She was about to jump away to catch some breath when suddenly her world came to an halt

The Primarch, during Bella's attacks, had grabbed her Thunderhammer and once Bella was about to retreat slammed it into Bella's stomach which sent the honkai flying several hundreds of meters away and generated something similar to a sonic boom. The Astartes who saw the actions and weren't too busy killing the other beasts around cheered for their Primarch who stood proud with her armor barely dirty

Bella was on the ground, holding her belly as immense amounts of pain filled her being, no matter how much she tried to regenerate, the pain was simply too much for her to handle, she started coughing honkai blood while trying at the same time to breathe.

Then the sound of footsteps reached her ears...for her, that sound was death incarnate...

Sirin's dream world

Anastasia, Cecilia and Sirin had spent the afternoon buying cute clothes and other accessories and things, soon the mall would have closed and so they slowly made their way towards the exit.

"We should do it more often!" Cecilia said with a big smile

"Well, I guess that we can do that" Anastasia replied also smiling

Sirin nodded energetically "Yes we totally should!" she said smiling before blinking a few times as she realized that she...was happy

"Got you" Suddenly Welt said as he stood at the entrance of the mall with a few titans and a handgun in his hands "Goodbye Herrscher of the Void"

Sirin had widened her eyes but wasn't scared since she could just squash the vermin in front of her once again, unfortunately, her powers didn't answer her call and this was because outside, Dr. Einstein was using Selene on her body but the Herrscher didn't know that.

Welt pulled the trigger and a loud bang filled the air, Sirin's face got covered with a red liquid which she immediately identified as blood...then Anastasia's body fell in front of her with a bullet hole in her chest.

Sirin was shocked and looked at Cecilia, who until now had acted like a normal woman, started fighting Welt and his titans. The realization hit her "You knew..." she whispered, looking at Anastasia "YOU LIED TO ME!" She shouted as tears formed around her eyes "YOU KNEW THAT I WAS YOUR ENEMY! BUT WHY?! WHY DID YOU PUT YOUR LIFE AT RISK FOR ME! YOU! WHO DECLARED WOULD HAVE PROTECTED HUMANITY! WHY!?"

"...because...I vowed to protect...all that is beautiful" Anastasia muttered smiling at the girl "and you...are beautiful Sirin.." she said

Those words echoed inside Sirin's mind, Anastasia's voice sounded like her mother's but she didn't want to believe that what the woman in front of her was true but her heart was telling her that Anastasia was being honest "You're lying..." she whispered

Anastasia slowly reached out with her hand and gently placed it on Sirin's cheek "I wanted...to show you that it's still possible for you to live happily..."

"After what I have done...it's impossible" Sirin replied

"You...underestimate me..." The Empress replied before closing her eyes and her hand fell to the ground

Siri widened her eyes and shook Anastasia's body "Wait...You can't die like this...You...You're...you're a Primarch! The offspring of the Anathema! Your brothers were destroyers of worlds!" she shouted as tears started pouring out of her eyes "A BULLET IS ENOUGH TO KILL YOU!? YOU WHO LED SO PROUDLY YOUR SOLDIERS TO ME AND YOU'RE NOW DEAD BECAUSE OF SOMETHING SO LITTLE?!" she shouted before looking down at her "You're choosing to die...just to prove yourself to me? Do you think that I'll revive you because you were nice to me!?" with those words she bit her lip as the world around her started collapsing and everyone found themselves back on top of the tower.

Sirin saw a giant robot standing on top of her and that once it realized that she was awake, it jumped away. The herrscher looked down on her arms, where Anastasia was back in the Dreamworld and saw that she was no longer there. She then looked in front of her and saw that she was surrounded by the Honoured Hunters with their Primarch Samus Aran, the Valkyrie that she fought before acquiring all of her power Theresa Apocalypse, Cecilia, Siegfried and in finally, standing in front of her with her flaming sword in her hand, The Empress.
