Chapter 25 Niannian, Let's Talk

Shi Xinghe picked up the letter and began to read; it was sent by Shi Niannian.

She first thanked Shi Hongda for raising her over the years, saying she was now an adult with the ability to live independently, and therefore no longer needed the Shi family's support. Furthermore, she returned the money the Shi family had spent on her over the years.

"A million? Where did she get so much money?" Shi Xinghe felt as if his chest was blocked, suffocating him.

Shi Hongda paced around the study, "Could she have found out something? Why else would she suddenly want to sever ties with us?"

Shi Xinghe folded the letter, "Are you suggesting Niannian knows the purpose behind her adoption? But only the four of us in our family know about it. Who could have told her?"

Shi Hongda scoffed coldly, "If it wasn't you, and it wasn't me, then it could only be your mother or Shuyao."

Shi Hongda made a call to Mother Shi, Liang Pingyun, asking her and Shi Shuyao to come to the study.
