Chapter 130
Tonight, Cassius had a plan to end the pain. He was going to drink the potion meant for hibernation. No, he had already drunk it an hour ago, and it was slowly taking effect on him. But he needed to tell Aeris first that he was going to go into a deep sleep soon. The Elders could assign someone else as their King, as he no longer cared about anything.
Staring at his reflection in the mirror, Cassius ran his fingers through his hair. Dark circles had formed under his eyes, as he hadn't slept for days. He took a moment to stare at his reflection again, wondering how he would look when he woke up. Would he still feel pain? Would the memories of Anastasia become distant in his mind?
The only thing that worried him was Aeris. How would she cope when he was gone? The Elders would send her out of the castle once they assigned a new King.
