Chapter 100

RATE AND REVIEW

Ashley covered her mouth in fear as she turned to face the men who were pointing guns at her. She gulped in fear, she was not ready to die, at least not when she hadn't clarified herself for Becky.

One of the guards chuckled, " do you think you'll be able to escape just like that, huh Ashley?" He asked. " You've being here for ten years and in that period, you have not being able to escape so what makes you think you'll be able to escape now? Huh" he asked a frightened Ashley.

" The love I have for my daughter" Ashley spoke, courageously which made the men laugh sarcastically.

" The love you have for your daughter?" They laughed more, " which of your daughters exactly? The one who is now a drug addict or do you have another daughter? Don't tell me you're risking your life for a daughter that hates you and thinks you eloped with another man?" He chuckled.

" I don't care what you say, Becky will always be my daughter and I'll make it back to her and sort things between us and there's nothing you can do about it" Ashley said, defiantly.

" You have two options, it's either you come with us willingly, or we force you to come with us" one of the men said.

" I choose the latter. You'll have to force me to come with you" Ashley spoke and ran to the gate but the men were too tough for her as they pushed her to the floor, causing her to wince in pain.

" Aaah" she winced. Immediately she winced, an idea suddenly came to mind. She used her right hand and grabbed a handful of sand.

She stood and threw it right in the eyes of the thugs, giving her room for escape.

She ran to the gate but was stopped by the gate keeper.

" Where do you think you're going missy?" The gatekeeper asked with a grin on his face.

She turned and saw that the guards were almost done getting the dust off their faces so only one idea came to her mind.

She kicked him hard in the groin before pushing him away leaving the gate free for her. She dusted her dress and ran out of the building, locking the gate from the outside behind her.

She wanted to catch her breathe but when she remembered the auction, she kicked against it because she knew that those bidding would soon arrive.

She hastened her pace as she ran in a direction she was unfamiliar with.

After running for sometime, she stood by a tree to catch her breathe. She was tired but luckily, she had run far from that horrible place.

She looked and saw a car approaching. She was about to stop the car but she thought twice and looked in it.

Lo and behold, it was none other than the devil herself........ Elizabeth.

She hid behind the tree and waited for Elizabeth's car to pass before she continued running.

But as she continued to run, her legs began to shake. She was becoming weak and dizzy but she continued to run nevertheless, the determination she had to make up with her daughter keeping her going.

She continued to run when she saw a truck approaching. She made to have a closer look at it to make sure that it was not one of Elizabeth's men but sadly, her legs gave way and she fell to the ground, hitting her head on a stone, causing her to pass out.
