zombies

The distance between the soldier barracks and the zombie front is about a hundred kilometers away; the reason they never reached the sea was that there was a massive mountain range just between the two worlds's borders.

Humanity built walls in the gaps between the mountains and guarded them to prevent zombies from passing through.

And For several years, the front has stood tall, zombies pose no threat to it .

even though hot weapons were rarely used.

If there were a problem, it would be the impossibly large number of them, that is more than 100 of billion.

Human warriors on this front would hardly reach 1 million, so even if all zombies stopped moving and let you kill them, each warrior would need to kill hundreds of thousands, which is unrealistic.

Those warriors' strength can only take care of three in a frontal battle,elite between 10 and 20, while top warriors can survive a hundred but cannot kill them all.

So, despite the fact that this was one of the earliest and easiest fronts, zombies are far from being extinct.

"finally here ,let's go rachid"(leo)

"yeah let go leo ,i will have your back to me without worrying"(rachid)

We checked our gear and equipments as we walked to one of the many small gates on the wall.

i had wore my black overly heavy armor with my usually used spear, While rachid had a small shield and a long sword.

As we march forward, we heard the sound of several small gates opening simultaneously.

The undead emerge from them at a somewhat slow pace.

Looking at those zombies, I began to recall what we had learned about them in class.

Zombies come in a variety of sizes, from small to medium to semi-titan, but that doesn't mean they're different in terms of strength, just because some are big and some are small.

They are sensitive to heat, very slow compared to humans, and their reaction is even more slower than them, but they have sufficient strength that if they held you you wouldn't be able to escape.

Their energy consumption is still a mystery at this time; the only thing that is known about it ,is that they are using their energy so slowly that it would take them ten years to run out of gas.

As I was thinking , several zombies were already in front of me.

turning my head toward Rachid i said, "It's my turn first."

"Okay, don't worry, go; I'll have your back," Rachid said.

After saying that, I took a thrusting stance with my spear and ran to them, first stab at the three zombies's heads in front of me, then taking a few steps back as I watched them fall to the ground.Then I swing my spear butt at them, sending one of the zombies flying toward the zombies to my right, knocking them down, as they struggle to stand up.

I did the same thing again, but this time for those who are in front of me, and then I ran to the three zombies on the left, who were all the on the same height So I swung my spear from left to right, cutting their heads off cleanly, then I went to kill all those who had struggled on the ground earlier.

I did this several times until I ran out of breath.

Until I heard a voice from behind me saying,

"OK, its my turn, leo, go to the back" (rachid).

I complied without a second of hesitation as I saw rachid's shadow move forward.

Rachid, unlike me, did not move cautiously. Instead, he took the shield in his hand and ran with all his might, sending nearly ten zombies into the sky, which fell on other zombies, causing those to fall to into chaos. As they struggled, Rachid then ran and swung his sword at their heads one by one.

'as strong as ever, although in terms of pure physical strength, we are equal, but when it comes to his ability, he becomes significantly stronger than me.

His ability (lung manipulation) is not as strong as my body control ability, but because it only controls the lung rather than the entire body, rachid only needs to learn how to use his lung and he also knows how to stop his ability instantly , unlike most ability users who require a lot of control to reach that realm ,where one can detect the dangers of the ability before it occurs.'

After a brief glance at Rachid, I moved my gaze to another part of the battlefield.

'Unlike me and Rachid's style, other teams are different in that they all move as a single unite, some defend , some fight ,while others are looking around so they don't get stuck in the middle of the zombies' as I was thinking of this, I heard Rachid's voice.

"Hey, it's your turn once more."

And after that, and for what have remainder of the day, we switch places with each other and take a break when the gates are closed for a while. When they are opened again, we follow the same routine

The flowing day

Leo was thinking this while eating breakfast with Ryan and Rachid.

'as expected. I really did get stronger from yesterday's fight while wearing that heavy armour, but at this rate, it won't be long before I get used to its weight, so I should order some more heavy armors and possibly a new spear as well.'

"Leo, what are your plans for today? Do you want to go fight zombies again?" rachid

Said as he was eating some eggs from the table.

"Not today, we'll do odd jobs, then go back to zombie killing, and so on ,one day like this, and one day like that, until the month end."leo

just like that, a month has passed.

In this last months i had done a lot of thing such as,purchasing several heavy armors at the beginning of the month, each one heavier than the other, as well as a new heavy spear.

I also switch out my armor as soon as I get used to it, but even though I physically grew stronger this month, my spear technique was the one that improved the most.

Because of the heavy armor, I was never able to use all of my strength, which helped me train my spear technique a lot.

Rachid also grew a lot this month as well, but not as much as I did.

"See you later, Leo i am going there today" (rachid)

"Sigh,See you later, Rachid, after doing that you should go home, also don't forget what I told you to do, okay?"leo

"OK, I get it; you don't have to tell me every time."rachid said in an annoyed voice

When we return to Earth, Rachid and isaid our goodbyes .

I went then to book a plane ticket for tomorrow's flight to my hometown, after doing that I went to my dorm room.

When I awoke the next morning, I ate a light breakfast before boarding the plane to return home.

After the plane landed, I drove to my hometown in a taki car that I found was owned by one of my neighbors.

"Hello, is that you, Leo, you've grown man?"the taxi driver said as he look at me from the front mirror

"Hello uncle jack how are you ,its been a long time since the last time i saw you, how is aunt and the children "leo said in a cheerful tone

"its all okay and your aunt leave her alone she's mine" Jake laughed as he said this.

I also laughed "well no wonder you would say that after all I did in my childhood ,aunt was very beautiful at that time"

"she is still beautiful brat ,but yeah saying that makes me remember when you came to our door everyday morning giving her flower or when you grow older a little you even went ahead and confessed to her "

"yeah I remembered when I confessed to her once when I was young ,but whats confuse me now is why did I even confess to her in front of you hhhh"

"Yeah, man, you've always been an idiot."

"Do you mean to say I'm still an idiot?"

We laughed like that on the road until we arrived to our destination.

After getting out of the taxi, I walked in the road that leads to my house, while some of my neighbors greeted me.

When I arrived hoom, I took a deep breath and looked at the door before knocking.

A few moments later, a middle-aged woman's voice emerged from the door.

"Who is knocking? "

"It's me mom." Before I could continue speaking, I heard the door open, and the shadow rushed over to give me a bear hug.

"welcome home leo "

"I'm back mother, I'm glad to see you again,"

I said as I embraced my mother's body once more,As she asked me to enter inside the house after she came to her senses.

Mother guided me inside by holding my hand.

She led me to a chair and began to ask me questions about how my life was going.

I tried my best to answer her questions as a smile crept across my face as I was happy to see her again after such a long time.

While we were talking, I asked her,

"Mother, where is my father?"

"He's still working, he'll come tonight ah I stopped you here for a long time, you must be tired, go take a bath and I'll make you something to eat," mother said softly.

"Then, if you'll excuse me, mother,"

I replied with a smile as I went to the bathroom inside my room to take a bath.
