His gaze held hers, intense and unwavering. “What are you hiding?” He murmured, his breath hot against her skin as she defiantly met his eyes, “Maybe I don’t you to find out.” A sly smile curled over his lips and he leaned in, his warmth flooded her heart with mixed emotions, in contrast to the coldness of his eyes with a thinly veiled threat, “Are you sure?” "What do you want from me?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper. His eyes locked onto hers, filled with a dark promise. “Everything.”

Forbidden Dream

Something warm and soft covered her lips.

It was a sensation both real and dreamlike, a soothing softness that sent a shiver through her foggy mind. Her eyes fluttered open, but the world swam in a hazy kaleidoscope of colors.

Panic, primal and instinctive, flared within her.

It felt wrong.

She tried to push away, but her body was no longer hers. She could hardly feel it, the overwhelming cold of the water had sunken deep into her bones. Her feeble struggles only ended up with her choking on a mouthful of water.

The stranger firmly circled a hand around her waist, drawing her closer, deepening the kiss as a shivering wave of air filled her mouth. A phantom ache throbbed in her heart, but every other pain strangely ebbed away.

It was an agonizing comfort.

There was a surreal sensation―a lightness she had not felt in ages, a peace, a warmth, a longing, an overwhelming desire to stop the moment and drown in its memory.
