Eve doesn’t know what exactly to feel when she finally stepped outside the road that is hiding the prison-like sanctuary of Lux. It is as if just stepping out of that place is already enough for her to feel that she is indeed no longer part of the organization at last.
She glanced at Rum, who is standing a meter away from her. She knows he wasn’t really abandoning her, but actually saving her.
“Shall we, Eunice?” he asked as he opened the car’s door.
Nodding her head, she bade goodbye to the security team of the place and get into the vehicle.
“Rum, please drive slowly. I want to see how this place has changed throughout those years that I am away from here.”
“As you wish, Captain.” The man smiled.
At the end of the commotion that day, everyone has decided to just go with the set plan—her set date to leave the isolation facility. That way, she will not put them in the situation of being neglectful to their boss’ orders, to which Lux despises the most.
