Elves had a high standard of etiquette because they viewed themselves as the advanced race of the planet when it came to culture. Although they admire some humans, other than them, most of them are mediocre in their eyes even though they are nobles.
However, that didn't mean they had to be haughty and arrogant. Most elves advocated elegance and grace like dwarves who were adamant about their physique. They didn't allow any elf to curse out in public and such elves were shunned by the community due to their vulgar attitude.
" But I don't understand. I thought the city banned such attitude due to being one of the holiest places on the planet."
Cynthia asked with confusion, knowing the holy city had strict rules when it came to etiquette and morals.
" We do have such rules. However, this is the outer district. No one would mind him because they are busy. Besides, such an attitude would make his life harder since the guards noticed his presence. It is just foolish to assume that you can do everything here."
Theseus spoke calmly while looking at the elf with indifference. He saw so many things like this and he was used to it. Countless people swarm to the city while dreaming of being rich and free but they would never escape from the shackles of society.
" When you enter the inner district be careful. There are many hypocrites and old-timed people who believe in supremacy of the humankind."
Horus strictly warned the two siblings and Yelena with a serious face. He knew the secrets behind the walls and he persecuted such people.
" Don't worry. I will protect you."
Licht didn't flinch even when he heard him. He already perceived them as one of them and he wouldn't allow anyone to touch them.
" Such a kind spirit. I can assure you will be fine."
Theseus laughed lightly despite being a high priest. However, he didn't joke about his promise.
Meanwhile in the northern part of the southern continent
A young man in his mid-twenties was sitting on the chair while sharpening his spear. He raised his head to look at the sky while humming his favorite song.
He had sharp eyebrows, deep brown eyes, a tall body with muscles, and a handsome face.
He was wearing a golden armor with the symbol of griffin on it.
" Your Highness, we have received the news that our spec ops will reach the capital soon, but it appears that they have met with the cult and one of the members was injured during the skirmish."
The knight bowed his head with a calm face while reporting the situation to the young man.
" Cult? How did they even meet them in the first place? Ah, forget about it. The question is whether the emperor is moving or not."
The prince didn't inquire further, knowing he would hear from them soon because he was going as a general.
" The empire seems to be solidifying its interior first before expanding. They are currently focusing on exterminating the remaining old faction to ensure the stability."
Hearing his words made the prince realize that they were fine for a moment but knowing the empire, they would soon bear their fangs toward them since they had vast resources and talented figures that were worth for their expedition.
Especially his kingdom had the best aerial force in the world after the holy kingdom. There was a great chance that the empire would try to seize them through some kind of method.
" Remain vigilant. The new emperor is no fool. He is a genius when it comes to governance and martial arts. Even I am not confident enough to underestimate him."
The prince didn't try to dodge the truth because he had seen him before. The burning eyes of the emperor along with his vassal were etched into his mind.
He even didn't try to hide his ambition to own their aerial force and ground force because he was just a tool for his goal in the end. He was a monster who didn't value himself instead he was a man who prioritized his country above everything, including the lives of other countries.
" I understand, your highness."
The knight bowed and retreated to his quarter.
