Chapter 38 Leave the clue

" You are oddly calm for a person who has been kidnapped. Do you believe you can escape from me?"

The butler spoke coldly, looking at Regina who was following them obediently. She seemed to be scheming something inside her head as well as her other teammates were also silent. They didn't try to communicate with each other or ask for help which was very surprising to him because most of the people would do so in front of the danger.

" You must have meticulously planned this. You dispersed our mana and even used powerful tools that contained our physical power. It is hard to believe that you don't have a contingency plan for us."

Regina explained calmly, looking at the criminals with sharp eyes. Suddenly, they felt chill down to their spines because her eyes were similar to those who came from churches. They were ruthless people who would capture their enemies without any trouble.

" Indeed, you are an exceptionally smart woman. By the looks of it, you must be a powerful person, but unfortunately, you have caught my master's eyes. He is a person who appreciates beauty."

The butler answered her question with a serious face. There was no point lying to her since she could tell if he was honest or not.

" I see. I hope you don't regret your choice, Mister. Ad you mentioned I am not a normal person. I am an officer who would bite every criminal that tried to harm others, including high authorities and nobles which involve your master."

Regina spoke with a cold tone, looking at him with her serious eyes. The butler felt pressure from her despite sealing her power, but he didn't try to dodge. He knew Regina was a wolf that would devour them if he showed a single weakness.

" Man, I agree with her. You better let go of us or you will be hurt bad. Mark my words."

Agam joined the conversation with a dead cold face. He threatened to release them because he knew neither of them going to show mercy toward them if he sent them to the lord. Even as a life guardian, Agam had a terrible personality and he hated people like the lord. He would slit his throat when he got the chance to do it.

A few minutes later.

They were escorted to the dungeon that was hidden under the lord's manor. The murky ground with a fishy smell welcomed them as they saw a few people laying inside the cells with pale faces. The women were covered in some unknown white stuff while the men were bruised everywhere.

" What a pervert! He didn't even bother to choose a woman."

Agam complained as he clenched his ass with a bitter face. He could the men were drilled through their back door as they had good faces like him.

" That doesn't matter to us. We need to find a way to escape from him and tell the captain."

Mikael spoke with a light tone, trying to open his cuffs, but no matter how hard he tried he couldn't find a way to open them.

" Don't bother. It is made from a mix of Damascus and volcanic metals. It is nigh impossible to destroy without our mana."

Leah who was an experienced assassin and thief sighed with a defeated look. She never thought this backward place would have one of the nastiest prison tools in the world where both the price and rarity were high.

" We can't just sit here. Yelena, can you speak with spirits?"

Regina asked with a gentle voice, trying to find loopholes in the prison.

" Unfortunately I can't access them because they are using dwarven technology to block my spirit power. Neither I nor the siblings cannot talk with spiritual beings."

Yelena whispered with a dejected look, imagining the fat pig that was waiting for them. She wanted to devout her body to Licht, but it appeared that the goddess of fate was playing with her.

" Don't we really have no choice?"

Regina sighed unknowingly, feeling defeated for the first time. However, she soon perceived something near the wall. A single movement was captured as she saw a young child crawling through the bricks.
