Eminent Shadows:The Trilogy

This story contains Elemental magic and mysteries to come! Updates 1 chapter a day —There was a shout, and I turned to see we were surrounded by a couple dozen men dressed fully in black. “Who are you!?” Clay called to them. I pushed forward till I was standing beside him. “We are the shadows..” I stared at them. “We have come for our revenue!” The man who was speaking had a voice that was airy, almost like he wasn’t real. “We have done nothing to you!” I called out. “Have you not?“ there as an echo of high pitched chuckles. “You dirt, stole our master and brought him into this world before you killed his father.” I was lost. I couldn't tell what he was even talking about. “What master? What is his name?” I asked in a loud voice, fighting to make it sound strong. “Leonurus! He is a master of shadows, and a master of darkness.” “And how did we take him?” The man chuckled again. “You are one to talk, greedy woman, you are the one who stole him!.” He pointed at me. “What is he talking about, is he from that other world?” I shook my head. “Your cursed spells, you try to deny it!” I stepped forward away from the huddled group behind me. “I have never messed with the darkness!” He stared at me. “You are the one that took him away through birth.” It hit me and I flinched, the baby! “I don’t know where he is.” I finally said after a second. PS: There are many different POVs but only one main couple in each vol -NOT A HAREM-

Fire dragon

*POV* Cassy Iris Aleera

I awoke myself to the sound of a little girl coughing, as my mind focused my own lungs begged for air, I coughed pulling myself completely awake. The room was dark, I tried again to breath but I just coughed instead. "Mink!?" I choked.

Falling off the bed I knelt beside her and shaking her shoulder roughly I touched her face. "Mink…" I tried again. "Monique!?" I questioned, unsure of what to do. The smoke continued to fill my lungs.

I had to get my family out of the house. My parents and Sophie? Where were they? I moved in the direction of the door, and as I stumbled over the foot of Jamia's blankets Monique stirred to life inside of me.

"Cassy, we have to get out of here!" She voiced., that was what I was already trying to do. "I am trying." I reached for the smooth plank of wood that held it closed and lifted it. Yanking the door open and stepping into the dim hall a bright light was coming from the living room. "What do you think it is?!" I asked Monique.

I had to find the source of the fire. I stumbled to the doorway with my arm covering my mouth, I stared in shock as Monique whispered. "Oh my! I— it's his power that took form!" My vision blurred as I continued to stare at the small dragon, it looked like a baby.

And every time its mouth opened it let out a squalling whale, fire flew from its jaws and added to the fire that was engulfing the exits in bright orange and yellow frames.

My eyes landed on Clay, he lay on the floor, his eyes closed, and his face peaceful. "Is he dead!?" I thought.

I rushed forward with the intention to check on him, but the dragon instantly stopped its crying and eyed me with a fireball in its mouth. "Oh great I think he thinks we are gonna hurt his human. Let me." I felt the sensation I had felt before as she left me. She looked down on the dragon.

I watched her, a second later I heard a cracking and my eyes shifted up to the ceiling. A long crack showed the indication that the roof wouldn't hold much longer. I sprung to my feet and moved closer to the scoring blaze.

"I can do this!" I told myself as I pulled for the water I knew was in the ground and felt for Seal at the same time. I felt the slight pull as the water started to move. Moisture gathered in the air as water started coming up through the floorboards.

Water rushed through the air in a stream, steam filled the air as the water hit the flames. An intense heat hit my face before the fire died out. I turned to watch Monique laying flat on the floor, paws tucked under her chin and her eyes glowing slightly and her tail waving in the air. The dragon was in much the same position.

They stared at one another letting out soft sounds that sounded a lot like barks and whining.

My eyes fell on Clay once again and I moved a little closer while the little dragon was occupied. The thought of the dugout being unstable stuck in the back of my mind as I carefully knelt beside Clay.

I realized I couldn't call to him after I opened my mouth to talk, clamping it shut I shook him ruffly.

"Come on!" I thought. A banging on the door made me jump, and a second later the door flew in and to my chagrin 2 of the village men stood there in shock.

I could only imagine how it looked, with the half-burnt living room to the fire dragon and large-sized tiger on the floor, speaking of which the dragon's eyes were on the men in the door as it slowly opened its mouth. The fire grew on its tongue. I knew I had to get Clay to wake up.

I lifted my hand and brought it down hard on his face. The slap was louder than I thought possible. The dragon turned on me in a flash and leaped onto Clay's chest, his clothes burning underneath it.

It was nothing like a water puppy. "Seal!" I sat on my bum and twisted my legs into position. Closing my eyes I took a breath.

Relaxing and focusing was harder than I thought with a little fire dragon slowly advancing on me.

"Calm down!" I told myself, focusing on Seal I felt the familiar feeling leave me, as Seal left me. My eyes slowly opened and I saw Seal instantly take up a protective position in front of me daring the dragon to advance.

It stopped. Monique circled to sit behind me. Realizing that they were outnumbered, the dragon went over to Clay's face and gave it a warm lick. Clay's hand twitched before his eyes snapped open, and he sat up with a shout he acted fast, and the small dragon was sent flying.

Monique faded away. "This is crazy!" she laughed. "That kid thinks he knows everything, I like him but he irritates me," she said, settling down.

Another sound from the roof had me getting to my feet and looking toward the door, the men were still standing there.

"You guys!" I called moving towards the back. "Could you help me get my mother and Sophie out? This place will crumble any moment." They moved quickly without questions. I turned to Clay as he eyes the little dragon.

Seal sat watching them too. "How did you summon it?" I asked him. He looked at me with wide eyes. "No clue. I tried your meditation thing next thing I knew I was waking up." he glanced around the room. "What have I done?"

Sophie's crying interrupted us, my mother came from the back wearing a cloak holding a crying Sophie. Mink and Jamia followed with heavy eyes. I turned back to Clay just in time to see the dragon fade away.
