Locker Keys

Evandale Ellis's Pov:

"Run Evandale! We just got two minutes." My best friend Iris Ezra shouted beside me. I chuckled. Iris grabbed my hand and ran faster. For a guy who is always so focused on women, he really pays attention to his exams.

"Did you even prepare for the exam, Iris?" I asked grinning.

"I guess I studied more than you,Evan." He said grinning back. I glared at him playfully.

We reached at our class just at time. Settling down in our seats, I finally breathed. What a morning!

After an hour later-

"I was just looking at the question the whole time,Evan. Can you believe it? I studied so hard for this exam. I didn't even bring anyone back home with me yesterday. I studied Chapter fifteen so thoroughly. Mr.Orin really can't tolerate me." Iris said tugging his hair in frustration.

"Iris,it wasn't chapter fifteen. Today's exam was on chapter sixteen,man." David Darwin, one of my friends said chuckling.

"Aww,our poor baby. You gave your best we know. You just have put wrong effort on the wrong chapter. It can happen. There are many exams ahead. You can do well. " I said patting his head.

Iris looked at me with a warm smile. I smiled back.

"Anyways,I am ditching the rest of the classes for today.I am too tired to go on for today." Hazel said leaning towards his boyfriend David's shoulder.

"Me too. Should we go somewhere,baby?" David asked patting Hazel's head.

"I am in."Iris said jumping out from his seat. I chuckled. Everyone looked at me with expected eyes. I sighed.

"You guys know I cannot ditch the classes.I am really sorry but you guys should go." I said with a soft smile.

"It won't hurt to take a break somtimes,Evan. You deserve a break. I know you need to have good grades to leave this city. But you really deserve a break,love. " Iris said with a soft smile.

I sighed. "I really can't go Iris. You know that. And its not just because of getting the notes, you guys know Arwen. I have had enough drama in the morning and I really don't want him to create a scene again. I hope you all understand me. I promise I will make it up to you guys." I said looking down.

"Someday,I really wish to punch that Arwen Gray. I want to kill that jerk so much! That arrogant jerk!" Hazel yelled.

"Hazel,he will kill you befre you do." David said smiling. I laughed thinking Arwen will really kill any of them if they try to even harm him.

"Okay we should go now before the bell rings for the next class. Let's go guys. And Evan, I will come and see you at home after school. Do not miss me too much.I mean try not to miss me so much,my pumpkin." Iris said patting my hair. I looked up at him grinning."Yeah,yeah. I won't miss you too much. Now go you guys." I said getting up from my seat to go to my next class.

After bidding them goodbyes, I walked towards my locker to get my books for the next class.

Evan Verlice's Pov:

I was standing at the hallway infront of the lockers to find the person with missing locker keys. Someone dropped their keys at the hallway. And I have been trying to find the person and give them back their keys.

As I was looking at my fellow schoolmates, something caught my eyes. CHOOCOLATE CHERRY COLORED HAIR. OH MY GOD! DID I FINALLY FIND HER?

I started to walk towards the chocolate cherry hair. She was searching for something inside her bag. I walked faster now towards her. Reaching her, I tapped on her shoulder praying that she would be Evandale Ellis. She turned towards me. She looked at me with her furrowed brows. OH MY LORD! IT WAS HER! SHE WAS LOOKING AT ME WITH HER OCEAN EYES AND HER FURROWED BROWS. SHE LOOKED ADORABLE!

"Excuse me? Did you need something?" She asked me fixing her bag.

"Oh.Um-Yeah. Actually I have standing here to give back someone's missing keys. They forgot it on the hallways I guess. And you happen to be searching for something inside your bag. Seeing that, I tapped you to see I mean ask if you were the person who lost their keys." I babbled breaking my internal screams.

"Oh, yeah. I happen to lost my keys. I noticed it after coming here. So, could you give me the keys so I can check whether they are mine or not?" She asked reaching out her hand towards me. I nodded smiling. I gave her the keys. She checked the number on the keys which I forgot to even notice. How much dumb could I be?

"Yeah, it's mine.Thank you so much." She said with a smile looking up at me.SHE WAS SMILING !MY HEART!

"No,big deal. Happy to help." I said maintaining my compusure.But didn't she remember me?

"Um, Don't you remember me?" I asked leaning towards the locker beside hers.

"Nope." She said opening her locker. She doesn't remember me. No big deal. I watched her while she took out her books. She is so pretty. She closed her locker and looked at me.

"Thank you again." She said with a soft smile. THAT SOFT SMILE WILL BE THE DEATH OF ME!

"Really,no big deal. So, you really don't remember me?" I asked with curious eyes.

Evandale Eliis's Pov:

"Really no big deal. So you really don't remember me?" He asked looking at me with puppy eyes. I looked at him.

"No I really don't remeber you."

"That night at the playground, You don't remember? You were with your dog.Evan Verlice?" He said pouting. I now stopped myself from pinching his cheeks.

"Oh yeah.Now i remember. You are Evan Verlice." I said watching how his facial expressions changing from one to another. Now he was grinning like a fool.

"For a moment I really thought you forgot me. I was just sad thinking that."He said.

"Yeah,I could see that. Actually, I didn't see your face clearly that day. You were wearing a cap maybe that's why. So, it took me a while to recognize you. " I said smiling.

"Um so, do you have classes now? Or are you ditching?" he asked me with his curious eyes again.

"Yeah,I have classes now. And I don't plan on ditching. Do you have classes?" I said looking at the time. I forgot I had a class now.

"Yeah I have classes too. I wasn't planning on ditching too. I j-just asked. Mhmm." He said clearing his throat. I smiled.

"Then we should get going to our classes,right?" I asked starting to walk.

"Yeah,we should. Are you in your junior year?" He asked walking beside me.

"Nope. I am in my senior year. I am graduating in a few months I hope.What about you? You are in your senior year ,right?" I asked him.

"Yes. I am in my senior year too. But how do you know?I never saw you in my class or in school. " He said confused.

"Oh, our homerooms are different. I mean I never saw you before too just heard of you until that night. "I said.

"You sure you never saw me before that night? You must have seen me. I may not have seen you but you should have seen me. You are just shy to admit that you have known me from the very start. Please don't be. You see I like it very much if pretty girls remember me."

I didn't say anything. What an arrogant jerk!I kept walking. "I mean my face is very memorable along with my name. You must have heard 'Evan Verlice the beauty of Eldon High School',right? That's me actually.People like you love me. " He said with a proud tone. I stopped walking and looked at him.

"Did I really have to know you from the very start? And I just told you I have heard your name before.'Evan Verlice the douchebag of Eldon High School'-That's what I have been hearing since I entered high school. Yeah sure I have heard 'Evan Verlice the beauty' too. But the douchebag is what I have heard more. Also other names like arrogant jerk, asshole etc. I apologize if I am offending you. But people like me ? Dude, grow up.I won't apologize for my hurtful words because you have also said hurtful things.And I am just saying the things I have heard about you. And for your information,Pretty girls don't always want to remember you. I really don't care if you saw me before or not. But what you said was very upsetting actually. I don't crave or live for your attention. So if you will excuse me now, I have classes to go to. And I want to go seperately even if we are going to the same class. Also thank you again for finding my keys. Goodbye." I said without pausing to breathe. I walked away without waiting for his reply.

"What an arrogant jerk!" I mumbled to myself.
