79. Hell is other people (part 2)

The time in Virtual Space reached the fortieth day.

Time had almost passed the halfway mark, yet resources had nearly dried up. Everyone was struggling to survive; the weak formed groups, while the strong remained cautious.

Five people were already curled up in Gongsun Xiu's small cabin, two men and three women. This density was actually at its limit. The resources that were supposed to last him through the winter were running out, with food and medicine on the brink of exhaustion. Although they still searched for edible things within a small range every day, the energy expended was clearly greater than the yield obtained.

From the initial stability to the current anxiety, their days felt like years.

But, relative to others, their situation was still good because Gongsun Xiu had evidently taken on the role of team leader. He distributed resources fairly and continued to try and save themselves actively. The days were already difficult, but at least they could carry on.
