Chapter : 7 Flight Training

At the secluded area of the dense forest, Vali summoned the four pairs of dragonic bluish feathered, panel-glowing wings known as Divine Dividing. The ethereal aura that emanated from these magnificent wings added an otherworldly charm to the scene.

"Slowly channel your energy through the wings," Albion instructed.

Vali obeyed with care, sensing the wings' energy as he ascended from the ground. "Whoa, I'm flying!" Vali's exhilaration was palpable, a genuine joy that couldn't be contained.

Albion interjected, his voice filled with experience. "Stay focused, Vali, or you'll plummet back to the ground."

Vali heeded Albion's advice, ascending approximately 8 feet from the forest floor. With growing confidence, he leaned forward, accelerating with a whooshing rush. The thrill brought him perilously close to the trees, but he halted with precision.

"Take it slow, Vali, don't rush," Albion's wisdom resonated in Vali's mind.

Vali, his face lit with a grin, expressed a mix of wonder and thrill, "Whoa, that was too fast – I didn't even realize it!" He exclaimed.

As Vali's rigorous training continued for hours, his determination to master the art of controlling his energy supply while in flight remained unwavering. He relentlessly practiced the maneuvering of the Divine Dividing wings, occasionally misjudging his speed and colliding with the trees. Gradually, he achieved better control over the wings' speed, but the challenge lay in his inability to swiftly alter his course in the narrow spaces amidst the thick forest. It wasn't long before he experienced a painful collision, his head connecting with a tree, leaving a telltale red bump on his forehead.

Vali's flight training had come to an end, and he found himself catching his breath on the ground. "It's really hard to change direction," Vali mused, reflecting on the numerous times he had collided his wings while attempting to navigate through the dense forest.

Albion, his mentor, reassured him, "Don't rush too much, Vali. You did exceptionally well in your first try, even I didn't expect that level of progress."

Still catching his breath, Vali mused, "I am thirsty. I should have brought a water bottle."Suddenly, an idea struck him. He extended his Dragonic wings, taking to the sky, and then executed a daring maneuver. With a powerful dive, he descended from the mountain at high speed, landing with a swoosh, a small gust of wind swirling around him.

Vali swiftly retracted his wings and sprinted toward the city, determined to quench his thirst.

With his thirst quenched at the public water tap, Vali couldn't resist the allure of the nearby ice cream stall. He quickly checked his pocket, confirming he had enough money, and eagerly dashed toward it.

As he reached the ice cream stall, Vali said, "Can I get one chocolate flavor?" and pointed towards the cone image.

"Just wait a minute," the ice cream seller replied as he turned toward another small girl right beside Vali. "What kind of flavor do you want?" The seller asked with a smile.

As Vali turned his head to the left, he saw a girl dressed in a yellow and white frock with a black bob cut hair and violet eyes. She was struggling to choose a flavor.

After some consideration, the girl handed over the money, took the ice cream, and left immediately. Vali's eyes remained fixed on her as she walked away.

"Here's your chocolate cone, kid," the seller said. As Vali put his hand to take out money, he noticed a small paper fallen on the ground with a peculiar pattern on it. "Seems like you felt it too," Albion said, seemingly out of nowhere, as Vali first paid the money to the ice cream vendor and picked up the small paper flyer left in the direction he came from.

"What is this?" Vali asked while sitting on a bench near the public water tap.

"It's a teleportation flyer," Albion responded.

"Teleportation, like going from one place to another in an instant?" Vali inquired with curiosity as Albion responded with a thoughtful "hmmm."

"Should I pass some of my energy to see if it works or not?" Vali suggested. Albion quickly warned, "Don't do it. It's a coordinated flyer, and you'll be teleported to the place it's connected with. Plus, it definitely bears a devil crest symbol."

Vali sighed and tossed aside the flyer. "Well then, it's time to learn teleportation, so I can leave home whenever I want," he declared with determination.

"What do you say, Albion? Let's teleport back to the hill," Vali proposed.

Albion cautioned, "No, Vali, you still don't have proper control over your demonic energy. It was fine with flying Divine Dividing because it was me who was absorbing it. But who knows what might happen in an open area where people might easily notice."

Vali, undeterred, once again ran toward the hill. Seeing that no one was around, he summoned his draconic wings, soared into the sky above the hill, and landed back in the spot where he had been training.
