Chapter 3: Meeting The Man Who Created The DxD Verse!

"Uh, by the way, when will the world-whooping function be activated?" I question the system with a confused face.

The system replied, "[It will be activated the moment you conquer the Highschool DxD verse]."

"Oh, so that's the case, huh! Okay, it seems I need to wait for some time before I can go and meet some anime beauties," I said with a smile.

"I should first try out my new abilities! Um, let's do it," I said with a smile as I tried to open my wings that are on my back.

For 5 minutes straight, I tried to open my wings, but I couldn't. It seemed I can't use my wings for now.

My wings are bat-like black wings with a tinge of golden color mixed in here and there, but they were kind of small right now.

Then, I tried to use my inborn draconic breath. I gathered the energy inside me in my mouth and then, with my full strength, breathed out a huge fire.

The fire I had breathed out was so small, but I was still happy because who wouldn't be? If a normal person can breathe fire out of their mouth for the first time, even an old man will be excited.

"So, now that I've tried all of the available power I have right now, what should I do now? Should I just sleep and wait for the Ouroboros dragon and Great Red to be born?" I said with a confused tone as I continued to levitate in the Dimensional Gap.

"Honestly, I don't even know why I can survive in the Dimensional Gap as other dragon races couldn't do that the moment they're born," I spoke out my mind.

"Hey! System, can you tell me any ways to become strong?" I finally decided to ask the system as I'm not that knowledgeable about my own race and what its capabilities are, so the best answer is to ask the almighty system.

The system responded, "[You don't have to do anything. You can just sleep for a thousand year without doing anything, and you'll still be stronger than a Satan class being]."

"I read in novels that dragons grow in strength even if they just sleep the whole time, but I didn't think it would be like this in real life too. But who am I to complain? And there really isn't anything for me to do," I said as I lay in the air while still levitating.

Just like that, a month passed and today marked the 30th day of my stay here.

...

"I'm bored!" I shouted with a bored expression.

"How can a dragon sleep for thousands of years and still not get bored while I'm bored just after a month?" I shouted with imaginary tears leaking out of my left eye.

"Hey! System, isn't there anything for me to do? Like a mission or something like that?" I desperately asked the system as I was really bored, just sleeping.

The system replied, "[No, there isn't any mission and to remind you, I don't have any mission function where I assign you missions]."

"Nooooo! How can I survive for so long then? I bet it's more than millions or years before the cannon even starts," I desperately said.

As I was complaining about being bored, I heard the sound of a man's laughter behind me.

"Hahahahahahahahahah!" A young-looking man with blonde hair and a peerless handsome face laughed while looking at me.

Seeing this, I was a little angry and surprised about the unknown man.

I decided to be cautious against him, but I was also secretly relieved about finding a humanoid figure.

"What's so funny, huh?" I said with a little anger suppressed.

"A dragon complaining about being bored!" He said as he wiped a little tear that leaked from his left eye due to laughing for so long.

"So annoying! Who are you and why are you here?" I said with my eyes narrowed toward him.

"Chill down, bro! I was just passing by but I halted seeing your reactions. Haha," he said with a laugh, looking at me while holding his stomach.

"Tch! If you've seen enough, then go away!" I said while clicking my tongue in annoyance.

"Haha! Okay, okay. Don't be so annoyed! You see, I was also born similarly like you 2 months ago. So, you don't have to be so cautious against me!" He said noticing me being cautious.

"How do you know I was born similarly to you?" I said with a confused face.

"Well, you see, I just sensed a familiar feeling when I look at you and your words previously," he said with a calm face.

"Oh, that! When I was complaining like a little bitch!" I said without any hint of embarrassment.

"Yeah! Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Jex," he said with a smile.

"Did you name yourself? What a weird naming sense!"

"Anyway, my name is ... um, yeah, my name is Zephyr," I said as I named myself.

"Oh, uh okay! Wanna be friends? It's honestly boring without having someone to talk to, right?" He said with a cheeky smile.

"Yeah, sure!" I said as I returned the same smile he showed me.

"Since we're friends, let's go. I'll show you something amazing!" He said as he made a portal from his hands.

And he entered the portal followed by me.

When I exited the portal, all I saw was darkness just like the Dimensional Gap had.

"Oye! Here. Look carefully, okay!" He said as he looked at me and then focused on ahead.

"Let there be light!" He said as he waved his hands with his eyes closed.

'Uh, isn't this the line which I had read in the Bible in my previous life? Is he the one who created the DxD verse?' I thought with a surprised evident on my face.

And as he said that, the place which had only darkness in the beginning started to light up as a ball of energy formed which will be later known as the "Sun."

"How is it? Cool, right?" He said as he walked near me and patted my shoulder as he smiled cheekily.

"Uh, yeah!" I said with an awkward face as I didn't focus on him during the process of him making a sun but rather I was lost in my own thoughts.
