A Dragon's Treasure

Raynare was currently sitting in a corner in the church. She had lied to her allies and told them that she killed the suspected sacred gear possessor. And now, she was doing her best to keep them inside the church, worried that if they go outside, they'll see him alive and do the deed themselves.

Needless to say, her mind was a mess. Torn, as to follow which, her heart or her convictions. She had resolved a long time ago that she'll become stronger. Stronger than anyone, especially any man. And she was willing to do anything to achieve that. So, why did she didn't kill Issei?

She knew the answer, but she just didn't want to acknowledge it. The fact that a couple of weeks of observing him, and ONE date had been enough to make her fall in love...the thought was disgusting.

'I'm a hundred years old for fuck's sake! Why am I acting like a teenager!?!' She repeated that line in her head for god knows how many times.

*Knock**Knock*

Suddenly, someone knocked on the church's door. The only other noise was the chattering of exorcists in the basement. Her fellow fallen angels, who were previously arguing, now just like her, stared at the door in suspicion.

Dohnaseek slowly walked towards it, with the others getting ready to engage. Their target wasn't due to arrive for another 3 days. And moreover, rather than overwhelming energy, they felt sinister pressure behind the door. As if God was warning them not to open it.

But before Dohnaseek's hand could touch the doorknob, the man behind it lost his patience. A blast sent the doors along with the fallen angel to the opposite wall of the church, turning most of it into rubble. Dohnaseek died on the spot.

"What the-!?!" Mittelt cried out. Her comrade had just been taken out in a single attack. And when her gaze fell on the attacker, blood left her body. A tall, slender boy was standing there with his hands in his pockets. His hair was pitch black with streaks of red running through it. But what was striking was his aura.

'There's no mistaking it...this...this is not a human!' With every step Issei took, Mittelt's pulse threatened to cease. 'But isn't he the boy that Raynare killed? What's going on!?!' As she was pondering away, Issei slowly made his way to Raynare. Noticing he was letting his guard down by exposing his back to them, Mittelt and Kalawarner decided to take the opportunity to strike him down.

'He may be strong, but he's an idiot! Die!' Thought the fallen angels. They conjured light spears and lunged to remove the boy's head in one swing. But as they reached his position, he elegantly dodged Kalawarner's attack while turning his upper body to land a slap on Mittelt's face.

Kalawarner's eyes widened. Her mouth opened to scream, but no voice came out. Mittelt's body was still standing there, but her head had torn from her neck and dropped near to where Dohnaseek's corpse laid. From something as simple as a slap. She dropped her weapon and sunk to her knees, having lost all hope for survival, her figure awaited a swift death. But alas, it never came.

Issei ignored her and walked to where Raynare was trembling. She didn't conjure a spear this time. She simply watched in fear as the 'human' killed two of her comrades and was making his way to her, most likely to finish her off. But Issei stopped a couple feet from her and asked her a question.

"What's your real name?" His voice carried authority that even Azazel, her most terrifying superior didn't hold.

"R-Raynare..." She couldn't help but answer. Her heart might be overjoyed at seeing her love again, but her mind was filled with fear and regret.

"I see. Raynare, I thought about your offer of leaving the town, but unfortunately my family also lives here, so I'll have to refuse." Issei spoke with a warm smile, making her fears lessen and her face turn red. "Instead, I'll give you a proposition. Come with me. Abandon your life, and follow me. Be a part of my ~treasure~"

It was a ridiculous proposal. One that didn't make any sense. But Raynare couldn't believe that she was actually considering it. Her mind went back to the way Issei kissed her. His soft li-

'WHY AM I THINKING ABOUT THAT!?!' She shook her head and gained her posture back.

"You...You don't understand. A man named Kokabiel is coming to this town. And when he gets here, he's going to kill both of us. Kill me for not killing you, and kill you simply because he wants to." Her gaze was on his feet when she blurted these words. Her voice wavered several times. It was a weak argument.

Issei sighed and stepped closer. He lifted her chin and met her eyes with his. And with the most seductive voice humanly possible, he asked her. "Raynare, tell me your answer. It doesn't matter who is coming or not coming. Tell me what YOU want."

A glint of hope appeared in her eyes. The battle of feelings inside her finally ended.

"I...want go with you." Her lips parted and out came these words. Her eyes, now rid of any fear they might've felt, were gazing into his with a renewed resolve.

"Well said."

...

After massacring the group of exorcists under the church, Issei carried Raynare back to his house. She could've flown by herself, but she didn't want to.

It was weird. This whole situation was too weird for her.

Raynare hated men. It was men stronger than her, who had forced themselves onto her and made her fall from grace. Since then, she had strived to gain strength to prevent that from ever happening again. And somewhere along the line, she had also gained joy in doing exactly what those men did - tormenting those weaker than her.

Assaulting any man that she could, she let out her frustrations on countless occasions. Taking revenge on the many for the crimes of the few. Thinking that doing that might overwrite her memories of the past. And finally, she had a chance to obtain a powerful sacred gear and leave the 'subordinate' life behind.

But here she was, willingly submitting to man nonetheless. One that had made her feel things she had never felt before.

In the end, she came to a conclusion. That there was only one possible answer to the way she was acting. And that was...

'Love is weird.' She smiled and nestled her head into Issei's chest. He looked down and smiled back.

Apparently she was way too comfortable in his arms. Because when Issei reached home and was laying her onto his bed, she was already asleep.

[Well, Well. Another one for the hoard. By the way, you should probably tell HER about this fallen angel. I don't want to see you in the hospital.]

'I know, Ddraig. Also, stop calling them my hoard. At least call them my treasure.' Issei replied to his fellow dragon and went to sleep next to his latest conquest.

...

Meanwhile, in one of the building of Kuoh Academy.

A white haired first-year girl was walking out after giving a briefing to her master.

The master in question, a red haired third year was frustrated.

Her plan had gone up in flames. Issei Hyoudou was supposed to helplessly die as she arrived in the form of his savior and resurrected him as her servant. But instead, he had not only NOT died at the hands of the fallen angel, he had in fact gone to their base and killed most of them while taking one with him.

'Tch, well no matter. This only means that he's strong. I'll just seduce him and recruit him that way. He WILL be my servant.'

Rias Gremory let out a very devil-like laugh. For her, this was a minor setback. Because in her mind, no one can deny her what she wants.
