After a few days of eventful stay in Tokyo, Sakuya-san, Scathach-sama, Kulshedra-san, and I made our way to my new territory, Nagano.
Lavinia stayed behind in Tokyo to collaborate with Vali on the investigation mission as planned.
The landscape of Tokyo metropolitan slowly receded as we boarded the train heading to Nagano. The bustling cityscape gave way to picturesque countryside, with rolling hills and tranquil forests.
The change in scenery was a welcome respite for us, who had experiences the constant hustle and bustle of one of the busiest city in the human world.
"Are you excited to see your territory, Rey-sama?" Sakuya-san who sat beside me asked with her voice gentle but tinged with curiosity.
"Yeah...."
I nodded slightly while wondering about the various things about Nagano.
"Have you thought about our place of living there?"
Sakuya-san asked again.
"Yeah. We'll stay at hotel for a night and then tomorrow after we'll find a real estate agency."
Because of we'll live here for a long time, establishing a base in the human world was a significant step.
".... A calm and quiet place will be good."
Scathach-sama who sat across from us with hands folded on her chest said calmly.
"Better if it's quite large and wide too."
Kulshedra-san who sat beside Scathach-sama said her opinion with her head gazed out of the window, lazily watching the serene landscape pass by.
"Yeah...."
I agree with her. After all, besides four of us here, there will be some more others who will join this family in the future.
We then also talked about few another things while enjoying the journey.
The train ride was peaceful and by the time we arrived in Nagano, the sun was beginning to set, casting a warm glow over the city.
We then checked in to a hotel near the station for the night.

The next morning, Sakuya-san and I set out to find a suitable house while Scathach-sama and Kulshedra-san prefer to just stay in the hotel room to rest.
The two of us then took a taxi to visit a high-rated real estate agency recommended by the hotel receptionist.
After we explained our requirements, the agency staff were eager to help and showed us a variety of properties from the catalogue.
And after looking at few properties suitable from the catalogue, the agent took us to a ride to visit the properties to directly view and inspect them.
The first house we visited was a modern townhouse in the heart of Nagano. It was spacious and well-equipped, but the busy neighborhood didn't appeal to us. "Too noisy. Scathach-sama would not like it." Sakuya-san remarked as we left.
The second property was a a house on the outskirts of the city. It had a garden and cozy interior, but it still felt a bit too small for our needs. "It's nice, but we need more space," I said thoughtfully.
We continued our search, inspecting several more houses. Each had its own charm, but none felt quite right.
It was late in the afternoon when we finally visited the last property which located in the outskirts of Nagano, in the suburbs of Togakushi Village more exactly.
The moment we arrived, there was a palpable sense of peace that washed over us.
The classical-style large mansion stood majestically against the backdrop of towering mountains and dense forests.
It was spacious, with a wide garden and lawn, added with a swimming pool too. And with the large size of the mansion, I'm sure there are plenty of rooms to accommodate our needs.
"This place is good.... It's quiet, spacious, and the view is incredible."
I said as we walked through the house.
Sakuya-san nodded in agreement.
"It feels like a sanctuary. It's has enough space for inside or outside activities. And the village not too far from here has such a calm and quiet environment too. This place will serve us well. It's perfect if I may say."
She said her opinion.
I agree with her.
But it wasn't just the physical attributes of the place that appealed to us.
"Yeah.... This place also feels different. It has.... mysterious atmosphere?"
I remarked as we walked through the villa's interior.
Sakuya-san nodded, her eyes reflecting the same sentiment.
"There's something serene about it. It's like this place has a history, a story to tell."
Sakuya-san said while inspecting around.
"Togakushi Village is steeped in legend and myth. It's known for legends and myths like Togakushi no Kijou or Kuzuryuu. The village has a rich cultural heritage and is known for its tranquil environment."
The real estate agent smiled and said as she led us around.
"Legends and myths often leave their mark on a place. This villa's atmosphere seems like it's influenced by it too."
Sakuya-san said.
I nodded in agreement.
"Yeah...."
I also felt a connection to the place, a sense that this was where us were meant to be.
I exchanged a glance with Sakuya-san, who nodded in agreement.
Then I turned to the real estate agent.
"We'll take it."
I decided while feeling a surge of excitement and anticipation to live in this mansion inwardly.
The real estate agent smiled widely at our decision.
"Excellent choice! I'll take care of the paperwork, and you can move in as soon as everything is finalized."
After that, we back to the real estate agency's office to finalize the deal.
The price value of the mansion was quite high, but we're not worried about that because at this time we have quite a lot of savings.

Over the next few days, Rey and his family settled into their new home and their new life.
The villa was furnished to their liking and they also make sure that their new home was safe with a few barriers.
The calm and quiet of Togakushi Village provided a perfect backdrop for training and tranquil life.
Scathach still as usual led Rey to rigorous training sessions, ensuring he stayed sharp and ready. Sakuya mostly took on the role of managing their household. Kulshedra, meanwhile, sometimes when she's not accompany Rey to train, she took herself to the surrounding forest, exploring its depths while enjoyed the freedom and space, and oftenly too she's just laze around at home. While Rey, he divided his time between training, studying magic, and exploring the village.
Rey and his family found solace in the tranquility of their new home.
But....
In some other places in the world, the gears of a few fate-changing events started to slowly turn.

In a dimly lit room, a few shaded figures looks busy in discussion....
....
"Okay then. We will start to commence our plan in a few weeks at the latest."
"What about the target?"
"It's been decided. I picked it after I got some useful Intel."
"Which is?"
"A cruise ship."

In a place which looks like a laboratory, a few adults standing in front of a pair of girls white black and white hair sitting and hugs each other in a corner of a small room looking tense and afraid of the adults. And the pair of girls looks unusual because they each have a pair of furry beast ears with the same color as their hair on their heads.
"So, what will we do with them now?"
"Well, they're basically just a pair of orphaned cats now."
"I think we can still continues the experiment."
"Yes."
"Maybe we could try with the white kitty too...."
"Hmm.... Maybe later."
Hearing the adults conversation, the black-haired older girl hugged the younger white-haired girl tighter as if trying to protect her.

In front of a huge palace-like majestic mansion, a few people around looking dumbfounded.
They stared in silence and shocked as they watched a tall, burly, black-haired teenager standing in silence while looking down at a boy who's sitted on the ground with his head looking down grimly.
The tall boy then raised his head.
"I won. I have proved my qualifications just as you wished."
The tall boy said calmly while staring sternly at an adult in luxury noble clothes who has a bit similar-looking face with him.
"...."
The man in question just keep silent with dark, sour face as if trying to hold his wrath.
