Chapter 48

Zadkiel hummed when he heard her before he looked at the ball of energy, then she tossed it to her as she saw it and grabbed it in her hands as she looked at it. She looked at him in suspicion while he just shrugged his shoulders at her.

"That's your energy, so I'm giving it back to you." Zadkiel said to her with a smile.

Nyx looked at him for a few seconds before she looked at the ball of energy in her hands. She sighed and then absorbed it back into her body as she felt it return to her, though she had to slowly take it in and change the nature of the energy unless she wanted it to blow up.

"For what it's worth it was a good battle. Though you still need to train more to get stronger." Zadkiel said to her as he looked at her.

"I know. To think than an Angel had managed to reach a greater level of power than I." Nyx said before she sighed.

"It's not such a bad thing. In any case, it was nice to make your acquaintance Nyx." Zadkiel said to her with a small smile on his face.

"I guess." Nyx said awkwardly.

Nyx simply has no experience talking to someone who is stronger than her other than Ouranos so she doesn't fully know what to say and so she could only say short answers to him.

Then she noticed Zadkiel raising his right hand as she looked at him curiously before he snapped his fingers. The very next moment all the stars that she had used to attack him reappeared back in their original places as she was surprised by it as she looked around.

'Seriously, just how strong is this guy?' Nyx thought to herself as she looked at the multitude of stars.

"If you are not thinking of doing anything then we can talk. I am a bit curious about the things that happened in the past in your pantheon." Zadkiel said to her as he got the idea.

"Fine." Nyx said with a nod as she didn't find any reason to refuse him.

He nodded to her before he waved his hand and a platform of light formed in front of them with two couches on it. He went and sat on one of them before Nyx sat on the second one, albeit a bit reluctantly.

"Do you want anything to eat?" Zadkiel asked her curiously.

"Just some fruits." Nyx said as she decided to take him up on his offer.

"Alright." Zadkiel said with a smile before fruits appeared on a floating plate beside her.

Nyx looked at the fruits before she grabbed one apple and bit into it and her eyes widened when she felt the taste.

'O-Oh my! It's so sweet and tasty!' Nyx thought to herself as she took another bite of the apple.

Zadkiel smiled at how she was eating the apple, after which she went to eat the other fruits on the plate as he felt happy about the fact that she was enjoying the fruits. Those were from the Garden and they are quite delicacies, he can easily say that they are much sweeter and tastier than the fruits he had eaten on Earth before his rebirth.

"Where did these come from?" Nyx asked him as she looked at him.

"They're from Heaven. Don't you also have fruits in your home?" Zadkiel asked her.

"Well, Gaia and Rhea also makes very delicious fruits and they are on par with the ones you gave me. I just never expected someone else to have fruits like this as well. Especially since Gaia and Rhea have power over plants." Nyx said as she let out a contend sigh.

"Looks like you liked them very much. Compared to before you are talking in quite a soft tone." Zadkiel said with a smile at her behaviour.

That was when Nyx realised how she was acting as she coughed into her fist before she sat straight.

'I remembered Gaia's fruits and let my guard down.' Nyx thought to herself as she has a small blush on her face.

Zadkiel smiled when he saw the blush on her face as he reclined on the couch and looked at the Primordial as she gave him a glare in return.

"So, what do you want to talk about?" Nyx asked him as she ignored her previous conduct.

"Nothing much just about the Primordials of your people, you know about Ouranos and his rule and his death at the hands of Kronos." Zadkiel said to her with a smile.

"Well, I guess I can tell you about that." Nyx said as she nodded to him .

'Hopefully he will forget about what happened.' Nyx thought to herself as she got ready.

'She is probably thinking that I will forget about it. Yeah, no I won't.' Zadkiel thought to himself with his ever present smile on his face.

"So, to start from the beginning, Chaos created me and my siblings from his power and then we lived not caring much about it as we ruled out land. Of course, Ouranos then wanted to become King and so used his superior powers to become our ruler, well, we didn't mind much as he got together with Gaia and had his children. After that..." Nyx said as she continued on her narration.

Zadkiel kept on nodding to her as she narrated to him. She also told her personal opinions about the things that happened like how Ouranos is a dick, about how he treated his children, how Cronos had left to watch over time in solitude and how her other siblings had went on their different paths, though she does keep contact with them and talk to them from time to time.

Zadkiel listened to it attentively and without any kind of judgement as he let her say without any kind of restraints. It helped him learn more about the Primordials even if it is only a little.

'Well, at least this is informative. I wonder how my marriage will go though.' Zadkiel thought to himself as he wondered about it.

*Heaven*

"Hmm, my belly grew again. Maybe I will be able to give birth after a short time." Lilith said to herself as she rubbed her belly with a fond look on her face.
