Countryside Walk!

After leaving the church's warrior institute, Luke and Dulio appeared in a place full of lush grass with tall trees. In other words they are inside a forest.

"Come on Dulio, we're going in the town ahead. That's where the one I wanted you to meet lives." Luke said as he started walking with Dulio following him.

"I'm curious big brother, can you tell me a bit more about this person?"

"She's a year younger than you at 10 years old. I actually met her during my inspection of the church here. Since you know, it's my job to inspect if something's wrong with the various churches." Luke explained to which Dulio nodded as he knew about this fact already.

Despite being just 12 years old currently, Luke actually looks a bit older than his current age to his godly side as his body matures faster, he looks to be 15 years old already. And that's also why he requested Michael to give this job to him.

Actually there's another reason for why Luke wanted this job. It's because after getting close to Dulio, he wanted to ensure than orphans in the churches scattered around are living nicely and wasn't mistreated. After all there are some cases of that happening.

As a side note, Luke convinced Lugh to donate money to the various church orphanages too.

Luke's main job is actually simple, he just visits the churches he can go to and see if anything's wrong. Of course he was just one of the many people with this job.

"It's been a year since we first met, actually she's similar to you Dulio."

"Huh? How so?"

"She's also awakened her sacred gear like you. Her sacred gear is mainly for support as it's a healing type. I'm actually planning on getting her out of this place for her safety as she could be targeted." Luke said with worry in his voice. After all a sacred gear user is like a beacon for those with bad intentions in the supernatural world.

"That's true but why are you not taking her from here?" Dulio asked as with Luke's status, it would be easy to do so. And actually, he was surprised that this person was not already taken into a church warrior facility to be trained.

After all a sacred gear user is very valuable whether his/her gear is combat oriented or not. That's also what happened to Dulio when he awakened his sacred gear. He was immediately taken into a church warrior facility to be trained.

Dulio glanced at Luke who was walking beside him and knew the latter pulled some strings behind which is the reason why the girl is still here.

Noticing Dulio's stare, Luke smiled before opening his mouth. "I know what you're thinking and yes you're right. I know it's quite unfair to be doing this when other children like her who awakened their gears were taken to be trained. But I don't regret what I did, after all I can't save everyone nor can I make them happy." While this words coming out of a 12 year old's mouth is quite inconceivable for some, Luke was not really your everyday normal 12 year old.

He is much mature than what his age indicates as he experienced much more than his peers. And Luke know that himself that he is different from others.

"As for why I still didn't move her away from here, I think she needs to decide for herself for that."

"No, I actually don't think what you did we're wrong big bro." Dulio replied with a big smile on his face.

Luke smiled and put his right hand on top of Dulio's head then ruffled the latter's hair.

"Ah! Big brother, stop it! My hair is being messed up." Dulio removed Luke's hand with an annoyed expression.

"Haha, come on already, we're here!" Luke said and Dulio looked ahead. What he saw was a bustling town full of people with smiles on their faces.

"Come on, Dulio!" Hearing his name being mentioned, Dulio looked ahead and saw Luke was already quite a distance away from him.

"Big brother, wait for me..." Dulio ran towards Luke who sniled before running away fast. Dulio decided to use magic and ran faster to catch up to Luke.

"Look Dulio, we're here!" Luke said with a smile while looking at Dulio who just managed to catched up to him.

They were in front of a church, with some people going in and out. Luke also noticed some exorcists aka fighters of the church stationed around the place.

Of course these exorcists also noticed Luke and Dulio's arrival and was surorised upon seeng them specifically Luke. They were just stationed recently here so it's the first time they saw Luke in this place but it's definitely not the first time they ever saw Luke.

They were from the church's main headquarters meaning Vatican and they often saw Luke back there, usually sparring with Vasco or strolling around. Luke also noticed the stares and just smiled.

"Looks like Vatican already dispatched some exorcist." Dulio commented as he also noticed them around and couldn't help but glanced at Luke once again. He can't help but thought that the latter has some connections why there are exorcists stationed here.

Luke just smiled back and continued walking towards the back of the church. Dulio shook his head and followed Luke.

At the back of the church was a place with some residences built. Arriving there, they saw many kids running around happily while some nuns are hanging clothes. All of them looks so happy and full of smiles.

When the kids noticed the arrival of Luke and Dulio, they ran towards them and tackled Luke who just stood. The kids hugged him while smiling. While the nuns bowed a bit to show respect, after all they knew Luke's identity as someone higg up in the church. They were also some of the nuns sent by the Vatican here.

"Big brother Luke, you visited!"

"I missed you big brother!"

"Haha, nice to meet you again. Today I came with someone new, look!" Luke pointed at Dulio who was standing beside him.

"Who is this, brother Luke?" One of the kids asked curiously

"Hello, I'm Dulio Gesualdo! Nice to meet you all, like you I am also an orphan so don't be shy around me." Dulio said with a bright smile.

"Then I'll call you, Brother Dulio!" a kid among the crowd said.

"Right, nice to meet you too brother Dulio!"

And soon, it was Dulio's turn to be surrounded by the kids while Luke watched with a smile. He watched as Dulio panicked slightly, not knowing what to do in the situation so Luke decided to help him.

"Alright, that's enough eveyone. Look, Dulio is getting flustered. You all can return to playing, okay?" Luke said

"Yess!"

Soon the kids dispersed and played around once again leaving the two.

"They're so active right? I wish that will still stay the same in the future." Luke suddenly said while watching the kids play around. "Anyway, let's go further in the back, there's a small pond there. I'm sure she is there watching some fishes in the pond."

Dulio nodded and followed Luke.

Arriving at the place, they saw a girl with blonde hair playing with the water of the pond.

"Asia, as promised I came!" Luke called out which caught the girl's attention. She turned her head and upon seeing Luke, a bright smile appeared on her face.

She ran towards Luke and hugged him tight. "Big brother Luke! I missed you!"

Luke smiled and patted Asia's head with his right hand. "I promise to vusit right? Sorry, I only managed to go today, I was busy with some things. By the way, why are you alone again?"

Hearing Luke, Asia's expression became sad. She buried her head on Luke's chest as that

was what her head reached due to height difference. She then said softly, "I don't have any friends since they are scared of me. Brother Luke, am I a monster?"

Dulio who heard Asia, sighed along with Luke. Both of them can understand why the other kids are scared, after all in addition to beings kids, ther are also just normal humans with no contact to the supernatural.

And Luke don't blame the other kids as to why they didn't approach Asia. But after knowing this, his desire to get Asia away here strengthen. He could get her in the Vatican where she could make friends as the kids there are part of the supernatural.

"Is that so, don't worry. Aren't I, still here as your friend. And look, here's another one you can be friends with. His name is Dulio, he's also my friend and he knows about your situation." Luke said

Asia raised her head and got out of the hug then glanced at Dulio. She then spoke softly, "W-will you be my friend too?"

Dulio smiled, "Of course! Nice to meet you, Asia!"

"Ah! You will really become my friend? hic*" Asia asked as tears welled in her eyes.

Seeing this, Dulio got flustered. "O-of course, from now on we're friends so don't cry okay?"

Asia nodded as she wiped her tears off. While Luke chuckled after seeing Dulio's flustered face. The latter lowered his head in embarrassment.

"Haha, Dulio that's the second time today that you got flustered."

"S-shut up!"

"Hahaha..."
