chapter 21: further development & divine intervention

it's been about 5 days since the surprise going after the duel no one has come to challenge me. and everyone knows me and Luna are dating after Drake actually walked in on us sleeping together. and knowing that idiot he blabbed about it to everyone's so everyone's starting to call her Milady or her highness. and I am really beat the shit out of him for blabbing. but after that nothing of Interest happening besides getting a few more houses built and had two Farms begin being made. people starting to get more comfortable with the life we have extended the walls about three times as much now specifically having a stone wall around with all the guards patrolling the wall. even though the wall was about a one & a half mile away from our small town. oh yeah we also did a lot of fixing up the Fortress it's almost as good as new now. as well as we have properly added a new room to it and it was the mausoleum where all the dead will be laid to rest or at least our dead soldiers would so they could serve again even in death. and the necromancers finally finished up that ritual that started corrupting everyone and making them more positive towards necromancy. I typically stayed in the town halls planning room nowadays and I haven't gone sleep for about 2 days now because of paperwork. but the blacksmith's son is doing well with Leo teaching him magic and anyone else learning magic as well could have swore he was a teacher of magic before being a bandit considering how well he is. and then Leo entered the Town Hall's planning room.

" my Lord Jack I need your advice on something."

this immediately caught my attention as I looked up with a very tired look in my eyes.

" yes old friend?"

I said with a tired smile he laughed a little bit and then he would speak.

" well I need some advice on how to ask Helga out on date"

I started to laugh as I sat in my chair relaxing a little bit.

" so finally grow a pair to do it well the best advice I can do for you is just to be straightforward and ask her out. maybe wait until we start growing that thing called a watermelon I heard they fairly delicious."

I said with a smile honestly this was a welcome change of pace considering I was doing paperwork for the last 2 days. but Leo look down like he doesn't know what to do.

" come on Leon I seen how you looked at her and I seen how she looks at you it's pretty much the same look. you just got to be brave just like how we Face death together how many times now three four five times. trust me saying what your heart feels is a lot easier than actually facing death in my experience."

Leon laughed bit it seems my words about his mood up as he nodded.

" yeah Jack I guess it is. thanks for the advice old friend."

he started to walk out but before he did I shout out to him.

" also whenever it's just me and you in a room drop the formalities. after all you are my oldest friend and comrade."

he looked back with a nod and began walking out the door then I realized back to paperwork. with a sign I started with it again so now that I have a moment's break the paperwork didn't seem like a lot but I was almost done. so a few minutes had passed and I finished with it. I start to get up and head to the table with a map I had mark down where Bandit tribes were. we're Villages where and where the two Lords were and I had color coded them green was Villages Lord's manners were Gray and Bantu tribes were purple. I chose these specific colors because I would use others like read for when we were in war against the country and I had to mark down enemy Villages fortresses and castles. I look towards the other tribes and their about 5 then I looked at my quest log. specifically to look at the Bandit King Quest. then I spoke out.

" system give me the overall objective of the Bandit King quest line."

a few moments of Silence then sounds begin to play out in my head and a small fairy appeared with a smile on her face.

" hello Jack oh and your request I'll start on that now. this quest line is to unite all the Bandit tribes of this region On the Border after you had complete this quest line bandits from other tribes will flock to your banner. to join the great bandit King. this will also gain you some negative relationships with the two surrounding kingdoms but not enough for them to declare war out on you unless you take the first move. and will thanks to your alliance with the goblin tribe. you will have more than allies and resources to supply them with armor. as well now you have a liaison for the Orcs because of that news Banda data to your tribe you can take interest in this batted and delegate some resources for him to train for him to possibly take over an orc tribe. which will give you great warriors. you also already have a liaison for the elf and dwarf people though you will have to go through some hoops for the elves but dwarves are a bit more simple to gain as an ally..."

as system went silent she looked around I raised an eyebrow as then she continued to speak but on a different subject.

" Jack I just got a notification from Alduin the gods have called a council of Champions you would soon be summoned to his side and you will encounter the other champions of the Gods. be careful none of the gods are allied with each other so you could make allies or make enemies be wary."

hearing this I pleased to hand to my church and start fondling my facial hair it went from a goatee to a beard in the last few days. she seemed frightened I simply patted her head to try and calm her down it seemed it did as Shadows begin to surround me I went to my table and write down what was happening so whoever came in here they would know what was going on. though only my inner Council were allowed to go into this room not even the cleanings staff were allowed in. and then within a moment I was and a large open playing with several large Thrones with each being a different creature most of them being more humanoid. but I was sitting in front of Alduin who simply looked at me with a nod. I saw many creatures appear in front of each large throne one of them was a human. another was a dwarf. two more and soon appeared being an elf and an orc. they seemed shocked perhaps they didn't have a system giving them the notification soon I saw 4 Divine beings in front of me with their respective champion in front of them Alduin was the first of the divine's to speak.

" may this meeting of Champions begin and I'll be the first to say no violence will occur here. what of you akatosh?"

it seems this being was somewhat similar aldwin except for he was brimming with life Vines were growing off him and what seemed to be small Woodland creatures living in his skin. or I thought it was male. but as soon as it spoke it sounded female.

" of course dear brother I agree to no violence being occurred here."

this caught me off-guard completely but then another Divine being spoke it was more similar to that of an orc and its skin tone and it seemed the orc Champion was in front of its throne.

" this is a parlay No argument here about no violence. though I'm surprised you agreed to come here Alduin. last time we all we're here a war freaked out between us and we all try killing each other and the result was nearly all the Mortal races were wiped out besides a few."

aldwin began to laugh he was the deity of death. he most likely got a lot more powerful because of it.

" well younger brother I got a lot more stronger because of it and you got all the weaker."

the orc God seem to get angry at this I simply spoke up even though I probably didn't have a say in their conversation.

" oh shut the fuk up you too literally were here for a purpose not for you to the bicker. if it was and you shouldn't have brought us mortal into it."

all the gods who worked the to raise an eyebrow at me well the orc God gave me a death glare and I simply replied by flipping him the bird. aldwin just started laughing.

" oh shut it you oversized bag of bones."

Alduin stop laughing out loud but he was most certainly smirking. one of the two gods that had not spoken yet begin to.

" well at least one of the mortal champions will try and keep this meeting on track. anyways the purpose of this meeting is to discuss the Clash of Champions. as is well-known to us God's many of the Champions here were born into races that we gone to have the most saying all except for you."

the god simply spoke staring at me as now I looked at it it seemed like a dwarf and without a surprise the dwarf Champion was at this one's feet.

" because of this and typically Alduin does not interfere in such matters like this that is why we are having this meeting you are part of the human species well akatosh is Champion is also human."

I looked at this god spoke calmly.

" aldwin is the deity of death he pretty much has the most say in every race currently alive. and I don't see much of a problem with it I'll just kill them too."

my Brazen declaration that I was going to kill their Champions kind of put all them off-guard I spoke coldly like a dead corpse perhaps this was aldwin influence perhaps not. I stared at each of their Champions using system to scan them I couldn't see their names but I could see their stats were pathetic. compared to my own then again perhaps I've been doing a lot more than. but regardless they were basically and the terms of an RPG at level 1 to 3 will I was easily triple that. all the other Champion seemed afraid they could definitely tell they were not nearly as strong. The God Who had remained silent spoke up this one seemed to be an elf and of course the Elven Champion was in front of his feet.

" well I suppose we don't need this meeting since we already know what you plan to do. though I can sense your strength and at our champions current level of strength they stand no chance against you. where they have saw no battles and use their time to get used to the new life you have done far more than them. and if you continued on your path you will probably always remain in the lead. and because of our rules previously stated before all of you were reborn we could not directly interfere with each other's Champions or indirectly. meaning it's up to our Champions decide who the go for first."

as this God spoke I simply continue scanning the Champions it said they were either a farmer minor or a town guard. though the dwarf was the only one who was the town guard the rest were farmers and miners. it was soon apparent that to the other gods. I stopped listening to them and more of studying their Champions which most of them saw was a insult of them but the elves seem to you see the reasoning in it to memorize your enemies face so you know who is your enemy there was much reasoning in it so he did feel slightly bit insulted but he understood what I was doing. Alduin spoke up which caught my attention.

" I see your reasoning brother and like always you are the most understanding. but I think it's time we introduced our champions since we did already agree that had to happen."

the other gods seemed to nod towards Alduin's words. I was the first to stand up and speak.

" I am Jack that's it."

I said only giving my name it was the only bit of information I was willing to give and since the context of introducing myself was never specified they could not get mad at me. the orc stood up with a simple nod towards me.

" I am Joe Cocker of Clan Blackstone"

I gave a acknowledging nod towards the org out of respect. then the dwarfs turn up.

" the name Gray Maine of the great Kingdom iron-vain."

I replied with him with the same nod I gave to the orc. then the human stood up a man who seemed to be far too full of himself.

" I am Aizen Lionheart part of the Immaculate Noble family known as the lionheart."

I simply looked at him with this day and I hated people who are full of themselves. and I could tell the gods and the other Champions did not like this guy hell I wasn't even sure if his own God liked him. a elf stood up and unlike the others this one was a woman.

" my name is lilias. I am a hunter and farmer"

after all the champions headed to Deuce themselves I proceeded to try and get some sleep which Alduin simply use one of his claws to tap me on the head. then I heard the Orc god speak again.

" well I suppose this meeting is done unless any of the Champions have a question?"

I spoke calmly because I was fairly curious of this.

" what happens to a god when their respective Champion is killed?"

all the gods including aldwin fell silent like they weren't expecting that question and possibly were hoping that question would not be brought up. but all the other Champions seem curious about this question as well but I spoke before any of them could reply.

" judging from your reactions I'm guessing you will probably be killed as well or possibly be at the mercy of whoever comes out as the victor of this little war?"

silence remained in the air and I guess I hit it straight on the head I smirk a little bit.

" well for divine beings you're idiots. if I've hit that situation straight on the head then you are complete idiots."

silence remained until the orc look angry but couldn't say anything and with that I knew I hit it on the head and the other Champions know it too. I closed my eyes after starting to whistle.

" anyone else have questions cuz I don't have anymore already came out this place with more information than I thought I would."

silence were made until the dwarf stood up.

" what if we make a treaty with one of the other Champions would that technically end the conflict between the two or where the only active the temporarily a solution."

I opened one of my eyes and raise an eyebrow as the dwarf God spoke.

" depends on the two Champions how long they want to keep the peace treaty if it goes for their entire life span then well those two Gods would make it out alive but if one breaks the treaty then it's up to one of the other sites to make another or destroy the other."

my curiosity was just getting more and more harder to control I looked over to the orc chapping with a smirk and he seemed to pick up on the vibe and nodded. soon the orc God and aldwin seemed to react almost like they feel a connection to each other they then looked at their Champions both of us having a smirk on our Faces. the elf girl stood up and then looked over towards me and simply asked.

" what do you plan to do if you come out the winner?"

I looked over to her and raised an eyebrow then I placed my one of my hands to my chin fondling my beard as I start to think about it then I would have a big grin on my face and then speak calmly.

" oh that's kind of simple take over the world combined this Dimension and our home Dimension to take that over to. and create a world of Peace in a sentence sense of no one would lose themselves after death it will just be a sentient zombie or skeleton with all their memories and stuff."

silence rained out through the room in the gods looked afraid and some of the Champions did too but the orc and elf one were shocked at my words. the dwarf and other human shopping looked at each other and I knows it's the same reaction between their gods. but the Elven Champion looked at me and I got the gist of what she was saying then I saw the reaction of her God and mine doing the same again right now it was a three-on-two. the guys soon figure it out the odds and figured who who's on who side. energy stored flowing around the Champions sending them back all except for me as all the gods stared at me. I didn't look Afraid One bit l I seemed honestly curious on what they have to say. aldwin spoke first.

" what you plan to do would require you to become a god not just that the only God of this world."

I didn't seem very affected by the words I figured as much. and the gods could tell I figured that much out the orc seemed enraged and spoke violently.

" you insolent mortal. how dare you even think of doing something as that."

before he could continue I looked over to him with a cold glare that seemed to make him shut up.

" you failed at doing your job and working together with your family. if you didn't you and your siblings would not be having this war would you?"

he stayed silent for a few moments as I looked up to Alduin who seem to smile at my words.

" I already knew your plan Jack for a while now I've come to terms if you were able to achieve it what you would have to do my siblings will not accept that very easily you would have to win this war."

this made the other gods looked aldwin in silence they were shocked. that he the very embodiment of death would accept it so easily.

" my brothers and my sister all things Decay away even us courts will have to eventually decay I have known that it will eventually happen to us and I've accepted it akatosh you are the embodiment of life you know the old gives out in order for things Sprout from it you had to figure out this would happen one day."

the creature that look like a dragon made completely of plant life nodded. I stood up and stretched looking at all of them I spoke.

" send me back I have work to do and probably a hell of a lot more paperwork to do."

I said holding my head with one hand aldwin laughed as dark energy begin to surround me and in a few moments I was back in the planning room no one had entered and I saw the note I had left was still there I grabbed it and I threw it into the campfire. system appeared right next to me watching the note burn.

" so you've met the other Champions and the other gods?"

I stayed silent as I began to nod.

"yes I have"
