Ryan knew absolutely nothing about the relationship between Hellen and John behind his back. What he knew was Hellen and John were good friends, so he never worried about their closeness.

How naive and stupid.

Either because he didn't know, or he deliberately turned a blind eye to Hellen's closeness, which for him was normal.

And Ryan's attitude that is getting better at Hellen is not because he started loving Hellen even better, but to cover up his own feelings. That he would never be able to do it without Jenna.
