Tales of the past

"You eat like horse and yet you still maintain etiquette, how is that even possible?"

Avery shrugged and continued munching down on her oh so sweet Burger with a smile on her face.

She tried to pay attention to everything except the thoughts in her head which were making her nervous by the second. It wasn't such an easy job to do but still, she tried.

"Dude chicken is better than beef hands down and no argument"

Jake gasped like he just heard the offensive sentence in the whole world

"Beef is waay better than chicken man I mean have you ever tried steak?!"

"And have you ever tried deep fried chicken?" Tyler retorted

"So that means your not gonna eat your burger" Jake asked

"Of course I'm gonna eat it"

Avery rolled her eyes and zoned out the rest of their conversation, her mind somewhere else. Her best friend noticed though and decided not to say anything because if anything she knew Avery always kept to herself at times like these and wanted to allow her her space for a little while.

Soon they all said there good byes and parted. Avery decided to take a walk home handing her car keys to Chloe to get back.

She got her phone out and listened to the soothing voices of Alex Benjamin, Levi Roth and Lewis Capaldi.

For a few moments she felt complete. The music flooded her senses making her unable to think about every thing in her life at the moment. Perfect she thought.

It was getting dark and the air became chilly as she breathed in that moist air something similar to her favorite scent.. rain.

After moments of walking she arrived at a cozy looking restaurant with cute lights and all and as the last lyrics of lewis capaldi ended she was brought back to the world she tried so many times to run away from. She sighed and made her way in looking around the almost empty place and finally landed on the stormy grey eyes of ..Asher.

'It's now or never' she thought.

Taking a deep breath she made her way over to him for their said 'date'.
