Alex lived in England. Wet, rainy, boring old England. With nothing ever to keep him company except the pitter-patter of the rain and roaring engines of random cars beneath his windowsill. The only thing he could get lost in was anime. The more he watched, the more addicted he would get. He played tons of one-piece video games wishing he could one day be in one of them. He would lay awake each night hugging his pillow thinking about his favourite anime, one piece. How he wished he could leave this world behind and be friends with someone like Luffy, leave this sickness behind, and have freedom and happiness.
Little did he know that as he was sleeping, strange things were occurring and it was with a fright that Alex was awoken from what seemed like a nightmare of flying through space and time. It was just a few minutes before he realised some of his memories weren't his as far as he knew from the bounty poster in his room that Roger hadn't died yet. Alex felt stronger than he had ever felt before, he no longer felt pained because of his illness, instead, he felt healthy. He could see a katana resting on the wall, and immense power rushed through his body eventually settling on his feet. Standing up he examined the blade sheath. A beautiful pattern of black triangles on red and as he unsheathed the blade, he found a beautiful blade it felt perfectly balanced in his hands. Strapping the now-sheathed sword to his waist, Alex strode out of the hut that he realised was what he called home. The newfound strength delighted him and he set off to jog around the island when he realised that this was Goat Island in the east blue. There was no way. He was in the one-piece game he was playing. That would mean Alex must have a stat system.

Seeing his stats exactly how he left them before bed, Alex was astonished and stood there gaping at the floating system. This meant that Alex was probably the strongest person in East Blue. This was his last spawn point as he rested after a challenging fight against the cook pirates, though Alex had let them go seeing their good intentions.
Alex always dreamt of being a pirate and after hearing Luffy's infatuation with it for over a thousand episodes, anyone would want to hoist a flag and gather a crew. It wasn't that simple and Alex's dream wasn't to be a captain. He wished to be a part of Roger's crew. To fight alongside the king of the pirates, hence the relentless training and bounty hunting.
He stopped after running 300 laps of the island and he heard a ding and watched as his stamina stat went from 120 to 145. After hours of slashing and kicking solid tree bark, seeing the sun was setting, Alex made himself a promise, he couldn't stay here any longer, If he was to join Gol D Roger's crew he needed to go to the grand line.
The next morning Alex replicated yesterday's run and he grinned with satisfaction as he heard two dings meaning his speed and stamina both just increased. He went to the harbor and bought himself a sloop, with one cabin, a small kitchen, and a toilet. It was enough for him. Being an admirer of strong Haki, Alex was never a fan of devil fruits, however he knew that this was the real thing, it wouldn't be easy, so he decided to buy a fruit, probably a logia. As he opened up the shop option on his stat system, Alex was pleased to read the next few words. Free Devil Fruits. The only fruit that was included in this deal though was loggias, which was perfect for Alex. He kept scrolling and scrolling until he found with a grin what he was looking for. He purchased the fruit for seven million B. As he sat down in his cabin and placed the fruit on the table, in front of him was a flaming fruit, the mera mera no mi sat, flames licking its jagged sides. And with one single big bite, it vanished down Alex's throat.
