Friday, Year 3556

I got up like any other day, without getting a wink of sleep, turned on a light as always, and immediately grabbed one of the 12,989 books I had in my room. Now, I know that seems like a lot, but I am not like my brother Miles, I am not dumb and I don't have a girlfriend making demands of me 24/7. So instead I read books because if I went and made friends, I would regret it like the last. I also know Miles doesn't do much by himself, but I do so much, I have to train my mind because Miles has bodily strength. I also was smarter than Miles when we were 4 because I chose the smarter option when it came to our dad's question. Our Dad asked us if we wanted either a fly blade that could sell on the market for 200 million Lunas or 0.001 coins that would make things around it worth more over time. Miles chose the fly blade and sold it in about two years for more than dad said it was worth. I chose the coin, I quickly discovered that the coin doubled the value of whatever it was within 12 square feet of. It doubled every week, so in about three weeks my bed was worth 1600 Lunas.

Anyway, the book I was reading was about how to control a Xenocraft with one's mind. I finished it in about 7 hours because I was already ninety percent done. I then went to my computer and looked at my bank balance while writing down what kind of companies were best to invest in. Then I looked at companies to buy and wrote that on another list when my little sister Chaka called. I looked at the message popping up holographically and sighed. My little sister loved teasing me about never coming out of my room unless it is for food. So I answered the call.

"What do you want now?"

"Ehh I want to borrow some money."

"You want me to give you money?"

"For once, can you just let me have some money? I need it because I and some friends need cloaking tech to head to the Pogun mines, that is so dad doesn't know"

" I am not gonna help you get into trouble. Unless you pay me to double the amount with a 7% interest rate for every day you don't pay me back."

"HELL NO! Just spare some money, you probably have billions of Lunas, can't you spare like 500?"

"You would suck at sales. And no. I need to get something out of this-." I clicked my tongue in annoyance at her terrible demand

"Fine! I'll go ask Miles for money!"

She ended the call, and I burst out laughing. I knew Miles was broker than a dog, I mean Miles had to buy an Audi XR because it was cheap. I decided to just give her 10,000 so she could buy food. Then I left my computer, turning it off after transferring the tab to my glasses. I just gave her the money and I was gonna oversee how she spent it.

I sent her a message saying to just bring her friends to my Xenocraft. So she said she would when they were gonna head out. I headed out of my bedroom and into the family hallway, I looked at my holo screen in front of me and noticed that I only had stocks in companies and didn't own any. Clothes were printed onto me, I wanted to look like a regular person so I chose a regular person outfit. A nice silk hoodie with some retro joggers also made of silk. So I was gonna change that, I walked out to the living room where my dad was sitting sipping coffee while talking to our mom who was in another room. I turned off my screen and walked towards the fridge. I was about to open it when my dad decided to comment on me being out of my room.

"OH, MY STARS! THE GREAT DRAGONFLY HAS GRANTED US A SIGHT OF MY CHILD!" at that moment I turned to him and uttered

"Hey, could you be quieter? I am thinking of the best ways to torture a person." it was a complete lie, but my Dad didn't care. Then my Mother walked and it got ten times worse. They amplified two times when together.

"MY DEAR! YOU'VE BECOME SO DARK AND QUIET!" I ignored it even though my ears were dying. I grabbed the milk and walked out the front door. Immediately dumping it out, despite how rich dad was he didn't spend money on good food. Which I was getting annoyed with, I made my first spur-of-the-moment decision since…

Anyways I chose to go find an apartment to rent. That would be cheaper, so I walked to my car, the new Kizaki XZ39, and let the car drive me to a nearby realtor. The car is nice, it has a nice gold and purple color scheme with nice rims too. When I encountered my first problem, there was a person at the front desk. I don't do interactions with people very well. Even worse was that it was a girl, I almost had a panic attack. I had to walk back out, and back in to be able to speak. The girl had bubblegum pink hair and was wearing something. I couldn't tell since I tried not to make eye contact.

"H-. Hey! W-What apartments do you have for rent?" The bored look on her face was even scarier. I flinched away when I looked up.

"We have some stuff downtown but other than that, there is nothing else. Would you like to look at those?" she had this scary bored undertone in her voice,

"I-I-I will L-L-Look at those." This was getting worse, her eyes bore into my head as if she had dragonfly powers too. I highly doubted it cuz she would prolly be doing something else than this, right?

"Here they are," she looked me up and down multiple times. She looked like she was internally judging me extensively. I was wearing a pretty regular outfit. Right? I think I was wearing a traditional outfit right?

"Th-thank you." I tried to ignore her for the most part just looking at the apartments and condos. I found a nice one with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. I was about to ask a question about it when a large boom went off.

I was knocked back and tumbled to the ground, as smoke filled my lungs and fire heated up the surrounding area. I slowly got back up coughing and looked around, for a second I thought about helping the girl at the counter who was hurt and trapped under some wooden blocks. Then I flashed back to the last couple of minutes and ultimately decided against it. She prolly didn't even care if I were dead at the moment.

I took off my burnt hoodie and looked around for the person that created the explosion. My eyes landed on a figure with a neon orange head. I immediately turned on my Flyblade and called my Xenocraft to come here.

I watched as the blade was illuminated with a luminescent purple, in the dark black smoke it was a beacon of prominence and potential bloodshed. This was the first time I had used it in 4 years. Especially since this thing happened with it, I dashed towards the figure covered by the smoke. It couldn't hear me for some reason, so I easily sneaked up on it and put the blade to its neck.

"That won't wound me, that's not gonna cut through my armor." A robotic voice came out of the helmet or whatever headpiece it had.

"We can test that or you could just tell me who you work for and why they blew this place to shreds." I threatened, I pulsated my mind's signal around to see if Europa had made it, yet. Indeed my Xenocraft had made it but was in invisibility mode to hide from being here.

"S.E.L.F D.E.S.T.R.U.C.T activated. 1 minute left."

Hearing that, I grabbed and chucked it towards Europa so the ship could shoot it to defuse it. As Europa shot it, the girl from earlier put a blaster to my head, I must not have noticed it while I was watching Europa shoot the robot.

"I'm sorry. I am getting good money for this. I don't like doing this, I promise," she said in a surprisingly emotional tone, I scoffed. People are the greatest actors, fuckin hell my own father was one of the greatest liars of, ever. This girl wasn't gonna fool me, I know not to trust girls, especially ones threatening my life. My fly blade was still on so I turned on a nice feature I installed on my fly blade and pointed the back end up toward where the blaster was. I clicked a switch on my blade, instantly slicing the blaster in half. I swept around and put the tip of the blade to her neck, I knew if she lived she would tell whoever hired what I could.

"D-Don't Kill ME!" She immediately burst out crying, which made my eye twitch in annoyance. I hate girls, so many are annoying and useless, especially the one below. I closed one of my eyes to think for a second.

"Who do you work for?" If she could provide me this info I'd help her out, a good trade-off in my eyes, figure out who wanted to kill me. She then gets to live and maybe I'll give her some money.

"Uhh I don't know, some guy who hacked my holo screen. He had a neon orange mask, it had a weird spider crack in it. I think he thinks you're one of the original Dragonflies children! PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!" I burst out laughing, which spawned a surprised expression on her face.

"Nice joke. I already killed that guy, I did that when I was like 13!!" I stopped smiling and stared through her. I fluctuated my intentions, so she could feel my bloodlust, and intent to kill her if she didn't answer me correctly.

"THAT'S WHAT HE LOOKS LIKE I PROMISE P-PLEASE DON'T KILL ME! HE SAID SOMETHING ABOUT HAVING A GRUDGE DOES THAT HELP?"

"Now, now no need to scream." I lowered my bloodlust and grabbed her hand, helping her up. "I never planned on killing you, because my father would kill me. Yes, I am the son of the Dragonfly, Don't worry I won't report you for trying to kill me. Though I will ask you to stay out of trouble."

I walked away.

As I started up Europa, the girl from earlier had already left.

"Hey. Can I stay with you for now? The robot took down my house, I need a place to stay."

"AHH!" How she managed to sneak up on me is quite a mystery. I quickly gathered myself and turned around in my chair. I decided to let her stay, she could prove to have more information than she is letting on.

"Erhm. You may, but I still need to close the rent deal with the realtor."

"I am still technically the realtor, we just got off on the wrong foot. We can close it-."

"Yep." I cut her off as we left my car sitting there, I clicked a button on the ship, and the car started to drive off by itself. We closed the deal and instead I bought the apartment for the next 3 years. It took just a couple of seconds, so we flew off to the new place.

About a couple minutes later as we headed to the city, I was looking at companies that were good to buy. I decided to completely ignore the girl whose name I just realized I didn't know.

"What are you doing?" she asked a hint of curiosity in her voice,

"Why should I tell you?" I asked right back, the best way to challenge is to ask.

"I feel like it's something important," she responded. She wasn't wrong, I was looking to buy Kohestar industries, a company that was worth 200 trillion Lunas. That amount of money would clear my bank account except for one Dust.

"You know what's important?" I asked

"What?" she responded, oblivious to the fact she hadn't told me her name.

"Your name. Something I still haven't gotten. Would you be so kind as to tell me?"

"Sony Terrance at your service." The second I got the name I pulled up my dad's citizen database and looked her up.

"Wait! Don't look me up! That's creepy!" She chose to stand right in front of me so I couldn't make out my holo-screen.

"Perhaps that's not actually your name?"

"IT IS," she replied in an annoyed tone.

"Then what is your problem with me seeing your data entries?"

"I… think that there are better ways to spend your time- AHHH!" I was tired of hearing her talk so I gently tossed her through certain dragonfly powers.

I looked at the screen and didn't see anything weird until I scrolled down. She had managed to get kicked out of the Academy. I would have laughed normally but something felt off with that at the moment. Getting kicked out of the Academy is extremely hard, almost impossible because they try to personalize the curriculum for every single student. They try their hardest to help everybody even if they seem like they are gonna turn evil. Which means her teacher

kicked her out of some sort of spite. Great another mystery to solve, not only do I have to deal with this masked spider crack guy but now I need to help this girl out. She got up a couple of seconds later annoyed, seemingly flustered.

"I'm sorry, but how the hell did you get kicked out of the Academy?"

She paused for a moment as if to ponder answering me, eventually, that moment turned into silence as she refused to answer me. She sat down and buckled up as we approached the downtown. The main city named appropriately, Drafladiea, spun out of the ground with dazzling lights and loud music that we could hear even through the soundproof walls of the ship.

We zipped through the hundred-story towers, Sony looked down with a fond smile, the bottom of the ship had a nice seethrough metal called Sinakth. The metal cost a lot of money so, of course, I took it. Looking through the bottom you could see tons of tiny dots called people, and there were some aliens there. This was the annual Festival of the Dragonfly, so usually Miles and I both steer clear of it. The bright lights shined so bright, that when we entered the city the lights on the towering buildings were drowned out by them.

We closed in on the location of the apartment and I unbuckled and got up. Motioning for Sony to do so as well, she complied without saying a word. We lowered into the docking bay, as the ship lowered to a stop inside. We walked out and walked towards the door to go inside. As we entered, I pulled out a small device that Sony noticed but ignored, I pressed a button on it and pointed it toward myself. It printed onto me a new set of clothes that hadn't been damaged by an explosion.

We walked in silence to apartment 6093, but as we approached it, there was a guard there waiting presumably for me.

"Well hello. What are you doing outside my apartment?" I asked in the most confidently annoyed tone I could muster.

"Eh, I can only allow families to live here. As you two aren't family, I know that because you kind sir are Royalty." He squashed my first lie but then I came up with another one,

"What about boyfriend and girlfriend?"

"Is she your girlfriend?"

"I was real-." I was gonna finish but Sony chose that point to speak

"Yes, of course, why wouldn't I be?" Sony asked, giving him the angriest questioning stare.

He didn't budge but he pulled me aside to ask me something. He started with whisper into my ear.

"Hey, is she forcing you into this? I know you aren't the better fighter out of the twin brothers but uh I can help you out."

"No. and seriously people need to stop saying Miles is stronger, he beat me in a fight when we were like twelve."

"Ohhhh. That's why everybody says that, also if you are looking for a girlfriend my sister is-."

"H to E and the double L. No. I don't even know you." He sighed in annoyance, and we walked back over, he let me authorize the deal even though he knew we were lying.

So about a couple minutes later we walked into the apartment. It was just like in the pictures I immediately told her how this was gonna work.

"Alrighty, I get all three rooms and you get the couch-." I was going to continue when I noticed she was gone. I ran straight into the master bedroom, she was sitting on the floor there smirking.

"Mine." in one word she had managed to impress me and annoy me,

"Normally, I would be really mad but, I get the other two rooms anyways." I walked out the door and popped my head back in, "by the way you have to furnish this room by yourself, enjoy the downtown prices." I left but caught a glimpse of her pouting like a child.

I walked into the other two rooms checking them out they both were very spacious, bigger than my room back at home. I checked out the kitchen which had some nice stuff in it including an instant-oven one that has buttons that cook things perfectly. I know through various means, that they had to do billions of tests to get a perfect time down to mini-millisecond. This specific brand, named Counter Space industries, was worth only about 10 billion, but it was a young brand. Personally, I think it would be worth it to buy it, the way I could improve their business being a consumer of them myself. I then left, to go back to my ship, but as I opened the door to leave a blue-haired girl stood in front of me. She stood there wearing a red short skirt, and the most annoyed look ever. She was my second problem.

"Well hello, Kaide."

"Oh shi-." I was cut off by a kick to the ribs, she threw a punch, and another and another, punching me into the apartment. She eventually kicked me to the ground and I slid across the floor hitting the counter.

"Stop." I heard Sony's voice and looked up to see her pointing a blaster at the girl attacking me, I quickly got up and introduced the two of them.

"Aqua meet Sony, Sony meet Aqua." Silence. I am so dead is what I thought inside my head. Apparently, I was right, because Sony and Aqua already knew each other.

"Ohhhh, no way this is the guy you were talking about?" As soon as I heard those words I bolted outside to the balcony and would've hopped off if Aqua didn't use pull on me. I flew backward and back into the living room. I realized something again, you just can't trust anybody. I put like two ounces of trust into Sony and she managed to play me like an open book. This is the reason I'm not kind to people because they constantly betray their word and lie behind your back.

"I finally found you, you shouldn't have left the safety of your room," Aqua said,

"Yep and I shouldn't have-."

"This is not Sony's fault, I just live here and noticed you as I was taking out the trash."

"Nice coverup. I applaud the lie. You should've come up with a better-fabricated lie, one that felt more organic." I glared at Sony, who looked down as if to avoid eye contact.

"I didn't lie unlike you. You said you were coming back, did you not?" Aqua responded with a question,

"Well, you should be happy I didn't come back, because I wouldn't have said anything and just walked past you." I got up from the couch and slowly inched away from the couch toward one of the bedrooms. Now what I had said wasn't a lie but she wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Damn you, Sony, I have to deal with this or I could just bolt. So I did I ran towards the door but this time Sony was standing in front of it. I looked back and mouthed to Sony to let me leave.

"NO. You need to at least say sorry." She responded alerting Aqua who had been thinking about something.

"For what?" Aqua approached this time pulling out a knife, and pointing it at my neck.

"For leaving me, thinking you were dead. That wasn't nice to your girlfriend now, was it? "

"I am. I am dead. You just can't tell." I emphasized this by leaning my neck into the blade as it drew blood. I didn't wince, because why would I? I had felt pains a thousand times worse than this. I let the blade continue to go deeper and deeper into my throat. I could tell that she wasn't expecting this, she had frozen in place. It kept cutting into me and eventually went through my entire neck. At that point, Sony pulled Aqua back and took the knife out of my neck. Sony set Aqua down on the couch and followed me as I walked out the door.

"What do you want Sony?"

"I-I don't really know. I think I-I want to figure out what happened that night," she responded

"Well go ask Aqua, she trusts you, Also when I get-." she cut me off,

"I didn't tell her we were here. I promise I would never do such a thing, I promise. I-." I cut her off, I wasn't making the same mistake of trusting her word.

"I don't care, I'll let you stay but keep to your room and don't go near me when I am there. I don't feel like dealing with your lies."

"But I…" I walked away at that point, no need to continue with a liar.

I got to my ship and took off back to my house so I could move some stuff. I'll skip that to not bore you with the details, but eventually after about 8 hours of moving stuff. My little sister called me.

"What?"

"We're ready and uhm we are bringing these girls with us. They kinda just showed up, saying they needed to talk to you."

"Ok, I'll be there in a moment." I was going to kill those two if they managed to annoy me any further.
