Dragon Lord of Starling City

「 Hiatus 」 Rebirth, Reincarnation, Transmigration. Caden was killed in cold blood as he slept, on the night of his late parent's wedding anniversary, by the very same man who killed them on his birthday when he was only five years old. He had only been fifteen years old at the time of his death. Given a choice of what he wished to become, he admired those who could fly, he loved the stories of dragons, and he was infatuated with the Arrowverse television series on the CW. And so... He chose to become a Dragon Lord, a powerful mythological being, an Alpha of his kind. His very essence materialized upon the gravesite of Oliver and Robert Queen in the year 2010, two years before the emergence of the Hood. The body of the draconic being was endowed with powerful magical energies far beyond his initial comprehension.

Darhkness

Caden was modifying the dimensions of the donut shaped frame of the building, melding the three shapes together and squishing them on one side. The overall parameter of the building itself was forty meters by eighty meters, making it more ovular in shape than a circle.

Modifying the overall shape of the modules, he gave the modules an overall stack of books facing all different directions. He was continuing to use the retro and futurism architectural design. Each level now needing supports.

Malcolm who sat down and started watching with the other two, was gazing mostly at Caden. He was curious of where he had gotten this ability, let alone why he was so powerful.

He was able to create things with his mind, to transmute material through the means of magic. He knew things such as magic existed, considering the fact that there was the existence of the Lazarus pit.

Magic was natural, this made him someone who Malcolm would have a hard time combatting. He felt that if he were to attack this boy, he'd make an enemy even greater than Ra's. However, it would seem he'd be more precise than the League of Assassins. If someone were to kill his family, it's more likely he'd just go straight for the perpetrator. He wouldn't target the perp's family, there would be no reason to. The family didn't do it to him, the person did.

Malcolm looked to Thea who was casually watching Caden, sitting next to him as he stood there waving his hands in casual gesture. It was as if he was designing the place with a third dimensional program.

To him it was fascinating and something that could be considered handy in the future if he could get the kid to do this for a living. It'd be like hiring a firm to build, but he'd be the only person building, he'd make so much money... Especially as he was treating the building as more of an art piece than anything else.

However just as he was about to start putting down more support beams, Caden paused. He could smell salt, not from the ocean. He glanced over towards the outer walls and raised a brow.

Suddenly a small child, wearing a tan button down coat, cosmetically worn jeans and a pair plain sky blue sneakers. Her black hair was tied tightly behind her head and she had tears in her eyes. She appeared to be running blind with her hands out in front of her.

It was Nora Darhk.

"Caden!" The child ran full force into Caden's torso, causing him to stumble back slightly and hug onto her as to use her for support. That and to make sure he didn't fall with her.

Nora had her face buried in his stomach, she was wiping her face on his shirt. She then glanced over her shoulder towards Damien Darhk who was waltzing onto the property.

His cold blue eyes, blond hair and devilishly handsome yet deadly appearance was very apparent to everyone present. "Nora, it's time to go home!" He said before pausing and looking over at the hooded individual seated on the ground, not facing him. He tilted his head slightly, then darted his eyes over to Caden with a brow raised.

"I don't want to go home!" Nora shouted back as she cowered behind Caden, having moved around him as if she was avoiding falling to her death off the side of a cliff. She was virtually attached to his hip.

Caden flicked out his tongue slightly, everyone noticing the forked tongue rather than the normal tongue they usually saw. He looked down to Nora who was peeking her head around him, and gently pat the top of her head, despite how she looked it felt like she hadn't washed it in over three days.

"What's going on?" Caden would inquire as he kept a hand on the top of Nora's head.

Nora who had a hand on her head, made a slight face. She didn't necessarily understand why he was keeping a hand on the top of her head. Though it could be a protective gesture, it just felt weird.

Damien's face twisted slightly when he asked what was going on. "You tell me," he'd spit out as he referred to the hooded man sitting there with a quiver and bow.

"Your daughter doesn't want to be near you...?" Caden looked down at Nora who moved out from beneath his hand and pressed her face against his back. "What did you do, Damien?"

"What I did...?" Damien glared at the boy. "We were her world!" He pointed at Nora as he said this, as he and his wife had sheltered her from the world. The very world they wanted to destroy and rebuild in order to be the paradise they wanted for their daughter. "When you teleported me home without warning..."

"You fired the gun due to the sudden change of location and local movement." Caden finished what he was saying and sighed, shaking his head slightly.

"I shot my wife!" Damien shouted as he stomped once upon the ground, angrily, knowing that unless he gets powerful, gets his hands on magic... There would be no way to take on this dragon.

Caden noticed that Nora was tightening her fingers around his shirt. She was trying so hard not to sob. It was clear that her world had been shattered right before her eyes. He looked over the man who was the leader of the terrorist organization known as HIVE.

"And you're blaming me for you pulling the trigger?" Caden sighed quietly as it sounded like a rookie mistake coming from an elite warrior.

Damien took a step forward. He knew that Thea wasn't someone who he could kill, she was protected by the Dragon. However the other two present, he knew he could at least try to kill them. Though the only problem was, would this boy strike him down in front of his own daughter? If he did so, there would be no coming back. He had seen Caden's work with that hell flame of his. He had seen him use instruments.

The only difference between him and Caden was the fact that Caden wasn't sadistic, he didn't enjoy killing. However it was clear he had a darker side.

Damien finally concluded after a short period of thought, that Caden wouldn't hesitate to kill him in front of Nora. He'd appear as a Hero to a little girl that already idolized him as an older brother.

"Give me back my daughter..." Damien uttered with a prominent frown across his lips, he was ready to kill anyone who got in his way. Or to be killed in that respect, just to get his daughter back.

"How many times have you caught her?" Caden asked automatically as he looked up at him, his head lulling to the side with an eerily calm expression.

Damien didn't give an answer, but he could hear Nora murmuring behind him. Apparently she had been running away everyday after her mother was fatally shot. Whenever she would ask for help to assist her mother, Damien would kill the first responders when they failed to resuscitate her. Her mother was dead and he wanted to take her away.

She didn't want to go anywhere. Nora wanted her mother back!

Caden looked towards Malcolm who glanced over at him at the same time. They nodded to one another and Malcolm slowly rose to his feet and turned to face Damien. "Al Sa-her, your new target is Damien Darhk." He'd say as he took out his phone and began to record, a casual look guided his face.

"Merlyn..." Damien uttered as he drew his gun and took aim, but before he could open fire, it was intercepted with an arrow. The weapon clambered to the ground as Malcolm rushed at him.

The two traded blows on and off, Malcolm using the darkly colored recluse bow as a blunt instrument. It was clearly doing more damage than Damien's own fists. However their skills alone kept them fighting for well over an hour.

They threw each other down into the sharp blue grass, onto the duraplast slab walkways and into stacked resources. They were having a good olde' time killing one another.

Nora began to watch them, bewildered and even mesmerized by her fathers, Damien Darhk, and the unknown man's skills in close quarters combat.

During all this Harrison Wells had moved close to Caden, Nora and Thea. He traced all the movements they made and it was clear that they were high caliber warriors. Their foot work were those of experts, killers and executioners.

With Caden's influence over the fight, Merlyn was the designated winner of the fight. As Damien came rushing at Malcolm, he was caught off guard due to his anger, a hidden blade expelling itself from Malcolm's sleeve and his right boot.

Malcolm palmed the man in the left peck, at the same time slashing the tendon just below the knee with the blade from his boot.

Damien fell to one knee as Malcolm brushed passed him in the end, retracting the blades and moving behind the man. He panted quietly as he stared in the direction of his daughter who was still peaking out from behind Caden, the same boy he trained. The same boy who betrayed him after he shot the woman who had been destined to become the Huntress without permission.

"Ra's al Ghul sends his regards," Caden stated as he watched Malcolm pick up the gun with his gloved hand and turn it on Damien. "Goodbye Mister Kenneth Bender."

Malcolm pulled the trigger, knowing that he couldn't let Damien Darhk live. However when he had addressed the man as Kenneth Bender, his legal guardian and Godfather, he was confused. He looked at the boy who held no reserve for Damien in his eyes.

As the body slumped to the ground, Nora fell to her knees and hugged onto Caden's leg, while he ended the recording. She was staring into space, her eyes locked on the body. Her father was now gone, she was alone now, but before that thought could pass. She looked up at Caden as he had knelt down to her height and placed a hand on her head.

Nora wasn't alone. Her father was now dead, her mother was now dead, but she still had him. She still had her big brother, she wasn't alone.
