Lying on the floor in the Fortunes Affinity chamber. Zekith could feel a very comfortable warm sensation coursing through his veins. He took a mental inventory of his condition. Immediately noticing something warm circulating throughout his body. This warm sensation was radiating and got warmer when he noticed his side. Moving slightly he reached down to his pocket pulling out the now warm brightly glowing ring. Sitting yup at first bracing himself with his arm. Then he was able to sit properly with his legs crossed. "Now, what do we have here?" Taking a good look at the brightly glowing ring. "There is something very special about this ring." With the ring only inches from his face as he examined it.
A beam of light shot from the ring straight into the middle of Zekith's forehead. Once again his entire world changed. He was now standing in a small courtyard surrounded by think red barked trees and the sky was lavender and darker shades of purple. The trees birthed a lush green canopy of leaves over head. A wooden bench was stationed next to a tree with drooping benches much like a weeping willow. Making a secluded little private area within this mysterious courtyard. An elegant white haired woman was sitting at that bench as if she was waiting for someone. Upon taking notice of her the rest of the courtyard became a blur as Zekith seemed to have been drawn by her aura. Nothing else within this space or even the courtyard itself mattered. His mind in a daze as his eyes clouded over. Seemingly without even his notice he approached her.
"Welcome my young friend." The lady turned her head to gaze to look at the person standing before her. Her eyes were lavender like the sky but flashed gold every so often. "Please take a seat. I'm sure that we have a lot to discuss." She gestured toward the seat across from her. Coming back to his senses.
Zekith quickly snapping out of his dazed and took a seat. His eyes grew clear. He looked at the elegant older woman with white hair. "Who are you and what is this place?"
In the study aunt Pol was looking at the scrying image of Zekith on the floor of the Fortunes Affinity room. Her face was ghostly pale from worry as she surveyed his situation that was happening in the Fortunes Affinity room. The situation that was happening outside was secondary and wasn't as important as this little relative of hers. Suddenly her eyes lit up. She noticed that Zekith had finally sat up and was sitting cross legged. Seeing that he was okay most of her worries diminished. But she was confused by the situation. That room is highly fortified. How was it possible for a large chunk of stone to fall from the dome above? This is something she will have to answer later. "The boy seems to be alright now. Let's see what the situation is in the air above the village?" With her feelings back in order. Aunt Pol turned her attention back to the images showing Ra village. Currently, there were now three Exalted in the air above the village. Causing a deeper frown on her head as she watch how things developed. "If this escalates any further Ra village is doomed. This is a disaster and a disgrace to our ancestors. How could we have fallen so far from grace?" She berated herself because she was powerless to do anything about what was going on. There was deep depression within her voice.
In the air above Ra village the three Exalted entered into a slight pause in action. "Old man, your era is officially over. The trial of a thousand years is almost upon us. Eternal Night is going to take control of this region." Black Cross spoke.
Emerald glared daggers at the female that was standing next to Black Cross. He was bleeding rather horribly from the wound inflicted by that very fiery woman. He was unexpectedly being pressured by these to from the junior generation. Feeling even more humiliated Emerald thought of his status within the Light of the Crow Church. Being one of the 33 Arch Bishops. He wasn't a fresh pup waiting to lick from his mothers tit for food. He was a hunter that provided himself with sustenance. His eyes suddenly flashed with a golden light. "Humph, you believe me to be a stepping stone. Well, do you? Like I'm some weakling you can actually contend with." Emerald was seething. His anger was reached his tipping point. He was pursued half way across the world and attacked. Now he had to deal with multiple pursuers at the same time. He couldn't be any more angry.
Black Cross and the fiery woman knew about Emerald was a member within the Light of the Crow Church. But, what they didn't know was Emerald's actual status within the church. "One of the 33 Arch Bishops?!" Black Cross questioned. However, the fiery combatant didn't care. "That just means that our reputation will sore once we kill him." She smiled evilly. There job was simple. Find a member of the Light of the Crow and kill them. Who care what kind of status they had within the church. That ultimately meant nothing so Exalted Black Cross turned to the woman. "Scarlett, let's kills this bastard." Killing intent began to radiate from his every pore.
"I was going to kill him whether you were going to help or not." Scarlett's killing intent was imposing and domineering. Luckily, it was all directed toward Exalted Emerald of the Light of the Crow Church. Black Cross could only smile wryly as they began to move forward.
Zekith sat on the stone chair that was across the table from this mysterious old woman. There was a slight pressure in the air that was surrounding her. He sat quietly staring at this mysterious woman. A long while passed in complete silence. Her eye were fixed onto his figure staring at him with interest but saying nothing. He also took the time to look at her. Everything about her spoke to her of ancientness. Her clothing was a robe style that is unique and simple. Long sleeve under shirt with a vest over it and her pants allowed for free movement. This style spoke volumes of the long distant past. But even with a head full of white hair. This person sitting across from himself didn't look a day older than a 20 year old female. Her skin tone was a rich chocolate color and flawless.
Confused about the situation Zekith decided to brake the silence. "Senior, may I know who you are and where exactly we are?"
"Senior?" The lady was taken a back. "Well considering your age anything would be looked upon as a senior. But, I was hoping for an older sister or something less old. Oh, well. I guess it will have to do." She sighed.
Zekith was fairly intelligent. So seeing this young looking lady with an aura as old as time in front of him. He wouldn't dare call her old lady or grandma. Even his mentioning the word 'senior' was a calculated move. It seemed to pay off because this 'senior' wasn't hostile. A couple breaths passed as if she were considering something. Then she slowly smile and began to speak. "What is your name little boy?"
"My name is not little boy! Senior may address this junior as Zekith." Clutching his fist in irritation.
"Zekith! What an interesting name. What year is it?" Her voice was simply calm and smooth.
"Senior it is the year 9296 of the celestial calendar." Zekith kept his answer short and concise. He was worried that he would offend her.
It's been over 2000 years. She sighed to herself. A look of reminiscing settled over her beautiful almond shaped eyes... She sat there quietly for a short time. It was clear that she was thinking of something. Yet, her face was emotionless the entire time. After another few breaths she exhaled loudly. As if she was releasing something and had made some sort of decision. Her lavender eye flashed with golden light once again as she looked at Zekith. This simple action caused him to stop breathing momentarily. "My name is Ren." She finally said.
