Leaving the Academy

He continued on with his lessons throught the day. It seems that the news of the incident at forest had spread to the whole academy as he was getting attention no matter where he go. Some girls approaches him to just hit on him, while some to ask for clearance on combat tactics, some boys also approaches him to ask about sword combat, while some ask for a sparring match, while some just try to show off their noble status and tells him to know his place.

He somehow avoided others and reached William's research room. There William was drinking his tea peacefully. "It looks like you have become quite famous." William laughed happily teasing Kyle. "I would rather prefer to stay unoticed." Kyle sighed. He walked to the William and sat on a chair neam him. "Why doesn't getting attention from this many girls makes you happy." William laughrd mischievously teasing Kyle.

"Please don't tease me professor."

"You yourself are going to marry a princess you can be called more lucky don't you." Kyle said to William with a little smile on his face. After some days after coming back from the forest the emperor of Erugenia suddenly declared about the engagment of first princess Annora to William. This was quire shicking for everybody. But upon consideration it made sense. William is a son of a duke. He is in line for inheriting his father's position. He is also a genius magician. A prodigy who graduated from academy at just the age if twelve. Not to mention the Kingdom of Erugenia also doesn't have any great alled nations. So it makes sense to engage princess with William. Afterall it seems that this both also have feelings for each other.

William face turned red upon listening it." You how dare you tease your professor." William said with a red face. They both continued to bicker with each other for some more time and laughed happily.

Time flied rapildly and two years passed.

On the day of graduation .

"To all the great talented individuals groomed by the academy. I congratulate you on your graduation and wish you all the best for your future endeavors." The headmaster of the academy Harry said in a loud and clear voice. He was standing on a podium in front of a large crowd of students, teachers, and guests. The graduation ceremony was held in the main hall of the academy, which was decorated with banners and flowers. The graduates were wearing their robes and hats, holding their diplomas in their hands. They were smiling and cheering, proud of their achievements.

Among them, Kyle was standing at the front. He had grown taller and stronger in the past two years. His black hair was neatly combed and his golden eyes sparkled with confidence. He had excelled in both magic and swordsmanship, becoming one of the top students of his class. He had also made many friends and allies, who respected and admired him. He had also become closer to William, who was like a mentor and a brother to him.

Kyle looked around and saw William sitting in the front row, next to Princess Annora. They were holding hands and smiling at each other. They looked happy and in love. Kyle felt a warm feeling in his chest. He was happy for them.

He looked at the sky and his expressions suddenly turned. He thought to himself. "It looks like time to start."

"Emperor of Wrathsforth I am cominC"

"Are you really going to leave. Why don't you consider becoming a knight again."

William asked Kyle. He was having his last tea party of Kyle's academy life. Hwas a little sad about the fact that Kyle was about to leave Erugenia kingdom. Afterall Kyle was the only person he consider as a friend.

"There is something I must do professor that's why I must leave." Kyle said in a serious tone with a little hint of sadness.

"So be it I won't stop you anymore. Just take care of yourself out there." William finally gave up.

They both drank tea and finally bid a farewell.

The morning after his farewell with William at the Royal Academy, Kyle was

walking around the market outside the city walls to gather equipment for his

journey.

He needed food, water, cooking utensils, clothes, bedding, medicine,

weapons... humans clearly required a vast amount of resources to live. But

since there was a limit to how much he could carry when traveling alone, Kylehad to carefully screen his necessities and purchase only the barest minimum.

He would take only those items with him on his journey.

Right now, he only had his casual clothes that were typical of a noble, and a

single sword. It was much too lightweight a weapon for him to be comfortable

traveling with.

That being said, ever since Kyle had enrolled into the Academy, he had spent

his entire life inside the city walls. While William had taken him to the markets

within the city walls to go shopping before, this was his first time venturing into

the markets that were outside the city.

He was at a bit of a loss, now.

I have no idea which store to go to...

He had gone around several stores already, but there were just so many of

them. A few among them had sold such crudely-made products, making him

furrow his brow on many occasions. Because he wanted to buy quality items

that would last him a while, he didn't want to randomly pick a store to buy

from. After wandering through the crowds pondering this and that, he grew

tired, and stepped into a back alley to take a quick break.

That was when a delicious aroma wafted to him, immediately piquing his

appetite. It was coming from a street stall in the alley.

There weren't many customers at the moment— possibly because it was that

quiet period of time between breakfast and lunch, or maybe due to its

unfavourable location

but the smell that was wafting from it truly smelled

delicious.

Come to think of it, I haven't had breakfast yet. I'll buy something from that

stall and ask them for shop recommendations.

Spurred into movement by his hunger, Kyle's feet carried him towards the

stall. A little girl was behind the stall counter, looking somewhat bored by the

lack of customers. Behind her, a woman that seemed to be her mother was

busy toiling away at cooking.

"Ah, welcome!" As Kyle approached the stall, the little girl beamed from ear to ear and greeted

him. She must have been around seven or eight years old. She was a cute child,

if a bit thin.

However, the instant she saw Kyle's noble clothes, her expression stiffened.

She had surely mistaken him as a child of nobility.
